I haven't read any of this thread other than the last few posts. Just to chime in to TTO...you're a seem to be a sharp enough guy to be able to find a balance in your life moving forward. Many of the people you see yapping in these forums are only gambling to compensate for areas lacking in their daily life. They are lost and driven by their fears most of the time.

Best I can say is that if winning in any kind of gambling is the highest of highs in your life that you are missing out and may have a problem. If you are passionate about sports/gambling and treat it as a hobby, unconsumed by it, but just experience the highs and lows in relative stride then never stop. Stop for days/months/years if you want.....take long vacations.....see sunsets and surf or something (whatever one does in cold cities). But don't worry about it ruining you.

If you are compulsive person than understand the reality that gambling can ruin you. But if you're compulsive in other areas of your life that can give you positive momentum, then it won't be able to touch you. Work out like a maniac.....dominate at your work/job.....fukk your wife. Then laugh off the fact that 'Marquette blew the cover and sleep like a baby.
