Why, because there were only 2 "major sport" games on the card does it automatically become an "action junkie" day?

Last night's games were as easy to "handicap" as any I've seen on any Saturday or Sunday, or any other day in recent memory.

To take the Yanks without Jeter (one of the only real gamers on the team, plus a real leader) against an elite pitcher to all of a sudden start hitting would have been asking for failure. Then, with all the bozo touts lining up to back the can't hit/most don't care Yankees and such a big dog line to get them, made it even more obvious to take the Tigers. In the end it was close, but the Yanks did as expected, didn't hit and didn't show much heart (some players not included, talking the majority), and earned themselves the big L and 0-3 series hole.

and without a boring elaboration that means nothing now, if you could see thru the smoke and mirrors of the cfb game (mainly the skewed defensive numbers of north texas due to playing up in competition as often as they had already), it was obvious to take the +5.5 points at home with north texas and expect a competitive game with a more than reasonable chance of covering.
