Yes there are way too many innocent civilians who have died. Yes realistically many more will die. Their lives are no less important than any of ours just because we won the passport lottery for where we were born. But then I read stories of guys who are supposed to be working with the Allied Forces because they supposedly believe in the cause and they turn around and open fire on people in our militaries. It goes both ways. It's one bloody day out of the year that most of us don't even really talk about any more. Surely we can show respect for the lives lost and their families, for those who rescued people and for the kids who were merely doing their jobs... some in their first week at work... who are still suffering severe life-altering health issues because of what happened that day. Common Patty.
