It isnt like the gasol/brown deal where gasol was light years better than kwame brown. Its an upgrade more on the defensive side but lakers were already good defensively, so in essence it doesnt address some of the major problems they had, defense is good but you also need offense. Bynum was much better than Howard when he wanted to play, at least offensively. People can blame howards back all they want but he wasnt hurt his whole career.

Like I said the Lakers are obviously better, but it doesnt take much to be better, Nash made them better, not a ton better, but he improved them more at that stage than Howard for bynum helps them now.

It still comes down to what Kobe does. If by some miracle he lets nash do his thing and somehow getting howard and gasol going down low they will be much better. I just look at it from history. And the fact that if they do try that and they struggle it wont be long before kobe starts the usual bullshit again which will just solidify him as the greatest team killer ever.
