Wrong.

They could have lost 10:0 or 15:0 yesterday and it wouldn't have mattered.

Let me clarify this and make an example...

All three HOL, DEN, POR have three points.
The criteria is now: Higher points obtained AMONG these three teams. GERMANY EXCLUDED. Nobody gives a rats ass how who played against Germany. Only the goals/wins/losses among these three HOL DEN POR matter ! - THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL REGULATIONS.

So back to that example: Let's say Germany beats Denmark 2:1 and Holland beats Portugal 2:1

Portugal with 3 points (win against Denmark 3:2 and loss against Holland 1:2, goal difference 4:4)

Denmark with 3 points (win against Holland 1:0 and loss against Portugal 2:3, goal difference 3:3)

Holland with 3 points (win against Portugal 2:1 and loss against Denmark 0:1, goal difference 2:2)

POINTS OBTAINED: ALL THREE EQUAL
GOAL DIFFERENCE: ALL THREE EQUAL +-0
PORTUGAL GO THROUGH WITH THE MOST GOALS SCORED, which is FOUR.

Now just change the numbers in the upcoming games HOL/POR and GER/DEN and do the math.

As someone mentioned, if Portugal loses f.ex. 0:2 against Holland and the Germans win (who gives a fuk what score) let's say 10:0 against Danmark --- HOLLAND GOES THROUGH because of the +1 Goal difference (0:1 against DEN, f.ex. 2:0 against HOL)

Thank you.
