people don't step back and think about why they are running in the rat race and who designed the race. inflation is a tax on the poor and middle class.
go back one or two generations and dad could actually work in a factory while mom stayed home and raised the kids. what kind of blue collar job now pays enough for just one spouse to work?

so the average family is now working at least twice as many hours as they were 30 years ago (hard to find someone with a good paying job only working 30-40 hours/week). yes we have better toys but i would argue the standard of living in this country is well below what it used to be while people are working much more. all this and 100 trillion in underfunded social security and medicare too!
