Anyone advocating starting new government programs in this economy is off-their-rocker-nuts. We have no money. We are in debt past our eyeballs. Obama and the liberals want to spend our way out of it (as if that's even possible). I'm no fan of current neo-con politics but anyone with a half of a brain can see it's not possible to spend your way out of debt.

We will never be out of debt without more jobs and a low unemployment rate. High unemployment is the main driver of our debt right now. We can't cut our way to growth. That is like someone losing their job then instead of taking on a little debt to keep the lights on and the cell phone bill paid so they can get a new job they cancel all their bills, sell their house, and decide to build a mud hut and live off the land.

Which is what the GOP is trying to do in a figurative sense. It is the third world-ification of the United States. They want to cut all new pro growth investment like infrastructure and education which means we will have no chance of getting out of this mess or reducing our debt.

You have to spend money to make money.
