I don't even know if it's possible to be a casual fan and do this, definitely not die-hard. Im a die-hard fan of one team in each sport and it is disrespectful to people like me when he calls himself that and then puts money against the Heat. That is a joke. I would never put money ON Penn State, much less against them. Seriously how can you say you're a "die-hard" fan and then do that? Im sure ill get some idiotic responses from some people saying money means more than a team and that's all fine and well if you think that - but you aren't a big fan of whatever team that is. I watched 70+ Knicks he's every year for a decade when they were utter dog shit. Even if rd 1 this year when I knew they had a snowballs chance in hell I wouldn't put $1 on Boston to win that series if I was getting a million to 1. Why not? Because im a die-hard Knicks fan, that's why. So SJ please do us die-hard fans a favor and quit calling yourself one.
Sorry Nittany but you are wayyy off here. I am as die-hard as it gets. I've been going to games since the early Miami Arena days. I was there when Allen Houston hit the game winner of the rim off the backboard and in. I was there when Weatherspoon missed the game-winner. My parents sold a house I lived in to Glen Rice, his daughter comes over weekly. I have spoken with Pat Riley, Dan Majerle, Erik Spoelsta, Ron Culp (trainer). I went on a cruise and hung out with PJ Brown in the casino. I've met Dwyane Wade at least five times, met LeBron three times, met Bosh once. I played blackjack recently with Tim Hardaway at a speacial season ticket holders event. I went to the majority of the Heat games this year, watched most of their road games. I was in the Triple A when the Heat beat the Mavericks for our first championship, was at the parade after, was at the parade when Shaq signed here, was at the LeBron/Bosh/Wade fiasco. I used to wait outside of La Salle high school to meet the players. I've been to most of the Heat Family Festivals. I have autographed game worn shoes of Alonzo Mourning, autographed Wade Jersey, autographed LeBron jersey. I know everything there is to know about this Heat team. Below is a link to a picture of me, LeBron, and Wade.

The reason I can bet money against my team is because I want to win as much money as possible. So when I am handicapping games I completely disconnect myself from the teams. It doesn't matter if I like the team or hate the team, if I see a weak line I will exploit it. I don't care if my own brother plays on the team, if the line is off then I will be on the other side. In terms of gambling, I pledge allegiance to no team whatsoever. To be as successful as possible at sports betting, you can't have any fan biases whastoever.

Just because I have the ability to disconnect my fan-ship from my business does not mean I am not a diehard.
