What to watch for:
- The Browns revamped defensive line versus the Giants running game. The Browns gave up 4.5 yards per carry last season, and will be up against one the better running games in the NFL. A key matchup will be nose tackle Shaun Rogers against center Shaun O'Hara and right guard Chris Snee. Snee is a premier run blocker and does well against bigger tackles, so this should be the matchup of the night.
- If the Giants' Eli Manning can get the deep ball going early, it could be a long night for the Browns secondary. We all know about the lack of depth at defensive back, but as a unit they struggled to defend vertical passing attacks like the Giants in 2007.
- Former Akron Zip Domenik Hixon is making noise in camp for the Giants. He has played extensively because of injuries at wide receiver, and should see a good amount of action. His performance has drawn positive reviews in camp. Not shocking considering Hixon is a Dan Kadar favorite.
- This game should set the table for a key Week 6 Monday Night Football game at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Both teams will probably hold back a bit on showing anything new in preparation for their game during the season.
Key Browns injuries: WR Braylon Edwards (foot), WR Joe Jurevicius (knee), TE Martin Rucker (knee), ILB Beau Bell (knee), OLB Antwan Peek (knee).
QB Rotation:
Cleveland Browns - QB Rotation: Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn, Ken Dorsey.
Romeo Crennel said the starters would play into the second quarter, meaning Rogers and defensive end Corey Williams would get some significant action.
Wrs thin: Pro Bowl WR Braylon Edwards (foot) is out for two exhibition games. WR Joe Jurevicius is out until November with an infected knee, while offensive lineman Ryan Tucker is expected back later this month after June hip surgery.
NY Giants - QB Rotation: Eli Manning (25 plays), Anthony Wright, rookie Andre Woodson, David Carr.
The starters will play about 25 plays. Anthony Wright will be the second quarterback, followed by rookie Andre' Woodson and then David Carr. Coughlin said all four will play.
Woodson is the third quarterback in Coughlin's four-player lineup for tonight's game against the Browns. In all likelihood, he'll have the first possession of the second half and play through the third quarter before handing things over to Carr. Eli Manning and Anthony Wright will play in the first half.

BROWNS AT GIANTS
Kickoff 8 p.m., Giants Stadium.
TV ESPN (Ron Jaworski, Mike Tirico, Tony Kornheiser) and WJW, Fox-8.
Browns radio network Flagship WMMS, 100.7-FM.
Preseason 2008 Giants lost at Detroit 13-10, Browns lost to Jets 24-20, both Aug. 7.
2007 Giants 14-6 (4-0 postseason); Browns 10-6.
Openers Giants Sept. 4 (Thursday night) against Washington; Browns Sept. 7 against Dallas.
The man Both Eli Manning and Derek Anderson threw six passes in their preseason openers. One of Anderson's resulted in a 25-yard pass interference gain. Four of Manning's were incomplete. Both are expected to play into the second quarter tonight.
The other men Brady Quinn (13-of-17, 133 yards vs. Jets) figures to play half the second quarter and most of the third tonight. Ex-Ravens starter Anthony Wright was 9-of-13 for 116 yards as the Giants' top backup against Detroit. David Carr (10-of-13, 104 yards) is the Giants' third QB.
Rookie watch Browns QBs will throw into a secondary that includes Round 1 pick Kenny Phillips (Miami, Fla.) and Round 2 pick Terrell Thomas (USC).
Remember Reuben Reuben Droughns, who led the Browns with 1,232 rushing yards in 2005 and 758 yards in 2006, is fighting for a Giants roster spot. Brandon Jacobs (1,009 regular-season yards) and Ahmad Bradshaw (team-best 209 postseason yards) are the top two backs. Droughns turns 30 Thursday.
In a rush The Giants amassed 53 sacks in the regular season (13 by Osi Umenyiora, 10 by Justin Tuck, nine by retired Michael Strahan). They didn't have a sack in the preseason opener.
Sad to Super The Giants were 1-3 in the 2007 preseason and lost their first two real games, a 1-5 stretch that hardly predicted a 4-0 playoff run that included a 17-14 Super Bowl upset of unbeaten New England.
Two to go The Browns will play Saturday at Detroit and five days later against Chicago.
I'll update more later on.
