You know that he will not be unemployed for long. Somebody will get him probably in 2012.

guy was around for a long time. Bud Adams has deep deep pockets, even with the CBA problems he might try to sign a Cowher and pay him 10 million a year to do nothing next year, just so he has him for the next 3 or 4 locked up.

it took Cowher damn near a lifetime to win 1 Super Bowl so why would they pay him that kind of money?

142-120 with the resources Fisher had is great. That team didn't spend a lot of money.

I'm trying to figure out why is this any shocker. Gruden and Billick both won Superbowls and were fired in within 6 years. Shanahan two Superbowls and got fired on his 11th year. This guy none, with one appearance way back in 2000. While Tomlin is going to his 2nd already.

I'm surprised this guy lasted 15 years with no Superbowl wins. I was still a high-school sophomore when coached the Houston Oilers

I agree gtfo here with that 500 record after a million years. Just like that Shanahan idiot, washed up.

What team does he end up with? Pretty much all the teams have made their HC changes, is there a team that still may make a change? I don't see him taking a coordinator job after being a HC so long.

Jeff Fisher trivia: In 1983 while playing for the Bears, Fisher was returning a punt against the Eagles when an Eagle linebacker tackled him and broke his leg. That linebacker was none other than Bill Cowher. Thank you Wikipedia.

I hope he gets them playing some solid D. So much talent on offense. They just need to fix the defense up and they can be a really good team.

I had a feeling this could happen. Bud Adams is a cheapskate mofo, which is why I'm kind of surprised, though. Rumor going around that Adams / Fischer butt heads over Fischer's son working on the coaching staff this season. Seems stupid, if you asked me. I think Adams was not going to resign Fischer after next year, anyway.

Does anybody have any good reason why they love Fisher? I mean other than his taking every opportunity he could to derail VY's career without giving him a real chance.
