Is Jim Nantz openly rooting for the Jets?

Seems like all good Jets plays are called louder than Steelers plays. And that fumble call near the half sounded like some 12 year old Jets fan trying to convince himself it was a pass. Don't remember Nantz being a homer like this before.

That incomplete pass that was challenged was pretty surprising, looked like a catch to me

He said he thought it would be overturned and he was right

    He beat Phil Simms, lol

Guy's ego is bigger than all of Heinz Field. He wants all of the US watching a close finish so he can get some gay line in at the end a la "Rock Chalk Championship".

Even to the end, something like "A couple more snaps, but remember, they botched a couple earlier, do the Jets have a chance" or close to that.

yeah he had the jets +4, when he said they should have gone for 2 that made it obvious. i had them too but no reason to go for it there.

Nantz is lost. He said go for 2, so if you score a TD you can be up 27-24. You get the same result if you go for two after the next TD.

Sounds like he had +4 and wanted the push.

Pretty sure "almost got there" means they had a chance to win. The Jets never had the ball with a chance to win. Kinda like giving a save to a pitcher that never faces the tying run.
