I was looking at the futures bet. If you put $100 (we will go with my small bankroll) on each AFC Team, you would get Jets $100 to win $300 and Steelers $100 to win $160. One of those teams will be in the Super Bowl, Either team could end up as a favorite in the superbowl, if not, they lines will be close, making it easy to hedge your bet and guarantee no loss.
I think If pittsburgh wins big today they might be favored over a GB team that barely wins at chicago (10-9 or so). I don't think thats as unreasonable as some might think.)
Yes, however you wouldn't want to flat bet on this. You'd want to balance the wagers so that you make the same profit regardless of which one wins. At the prices listed (which aren't great), for every $100 wagered you would want to risk $39.40 on the Jets and $60.60 on the Steelers to net a return of $57.60 per $100 invested regardless of outcome for a future of +157 on the AFC team.
It becomes a lot less valuable if the AFC team is not favoured in the SB though.
