    Don't over think Sunday boys...

Chicago can run the ball. Green Bay cannot. It's really that easy.

GB ran for 138 against phila, and 96 against atl. granted both those D's are nothing compared the chicago's but to say GB cant run the ball is an over-statement

this is the type of game I hate to have to pick a side, because it will either be a pure blow out or both teams will score jack sh.. Same goes for Pitt/Ny .

i agree with this, chicago controls the line of scrimmage and in games like this that is what wins most

Bears have a much greater chance of winning that the Jets. Bears +170 is a terific value

You may be right, but it's how good the rush defenses are that will determine who can run, and not the rush offenses, as both are comparably average.

    Rush O Rank/YPG/YPC:
    CHI - 22nd/101/3.9
    GB - 24th/100.4/3.8

    Rush D Rank/YPG:
    CHI - 2nd/90.1
    GB - 18th/114.9

Chicago has proven they can beat GB, and that was a much worse team against a team coming off a red hot pre-season. Bears D and special teams will be the difference. Too many people just looking at stats of QBs and getting hammered as a result. Rodgers will be the next to go down.

Chicago has a legitimate chance of winning that game. I'll gladly take them plus points.

Ok.. Many good points but Chicago hasn't played a meaningful game in weeks ( last week Seattle game was a gift to the Bears).. The Packers have played desperate for the last several weeks.. I understand about a running game but that will not win this game. GB has a great defense and will get pressure on Cutler... I feel this game comes down to Cutler... If he doesn't turn the ball over Chicago has a chance but if he does throw some interception GB will win this game easily.

The bears will win it straight up. Take the money line. I usually don't bet the money line, but in this case I am making an exception. I got them at +180, what a bargain (if they win)

Running the ball won't be the difference in this game. You don't think the pack can stop the run? Who is the better qb?

GB has Rodgers, CHI has Cutler...it really is that simple.

If you want to judge a team by 1 game you do that. You will be buried.

phily schemed to stop the pass, and get pressure, not stop the non-existent running attack.

So I guess defense and special teams are not a factor.

In the playoffs, it comes down to who wants it the most and who is prepared. Cutler had games as good as Rodgers and Rodgers has had games as bad as Cutler. It all comes down to who makes mistakes and who had the drive. I think Chicago outdoors may have an edge in this one.

I took the Bears +170. Sure the Pack has had their moments of greatness, but I just had to take the Bears at home...

Chicago is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games
Chicago is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games at home
Chicago is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games when playing at home against Green Bay
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Chicago's last 6 games when playing at home against Green Bay

Go Bears! (yes, I'm originally a Chicago girl!)

The essence of gambling is not in certainties but in likelihoods. In my mind the two teams stack up fairly comparably except for Cutler's infuriating pattern of disastrous plays when pressured. Gave the points to CHI and took them with NYJ for a small parlay wager. Good luck.

is it me or is all this old school talk these days about "to win the super bowl you gotta be able to run the ball!!! Gotta pound that ball up the middle and shove it down their throats! Roar! Football!!" I mean, this isn't the 1950's anymore people, I think we can safely say that pro quarterbacks have figured out the once impossible feat of The forward pass... finally.
The NFL is a passing league now, why do you think teams with crappy qb's are perennial losers and teams with elite qb's almost always make the playoffs?

my thoughts on the game from a newbie here. looks to me chicago or green bay both have a great chance to win game; will depend on special teams and turnovers. if green bay can keep hester from making over 1 big play (over 20 yards) think they win if turnovers are equal.

this being said will have to take chicago plus the points and a small bet on moneyline.

    bol whatever you play
