Bears + 3.5 for the farm

Well, I'm a city guy, so I don't have a farm. However, I am making this my biggest play of the year. This, my friends, is the perfect storm. Public pounding the packers, yet the line sits quietly at 3.5. Vegas and the NFL both would love to see chi town in the big game. This will be a low scoring affair won by a FG at the end and you get the free hook w the home squad. Don't let green bays recent success running the rock fool you. The eagles defense was terrible, and the falcons were not prepared and poorly coached last week. The falcons flat out shit the bed. This bears d ranks 2nd in league in rush d and they are playing w some serious confidence right now. The packers will be back to a one dimensional team with all of the pressure on Rodgers shoulders. Peppers and co will light him up in this game. Believe me, this Starks character will be wishing he was back on the practice squad where he belongs. Cutler will have better field position all day with hestor doing what he does. If the pack don't punt to him the bears will be starting in pack territory all day because it will be very difficult to angle punts in the windy city. Cutler has the better running back behind him. Getting 3.5 at home with this chi defense and with a confident underdog in jay cutler is an fn gift. Take the points fellas. Oh, and don't give me any of that money management nonsense. Grow some balls. Take the points big.

    Bears +3.5 (3K)

I may sprinkle some on the ml closer to game time if I'm feeling frisky.

    Get it!

I like it! I agree with everything you said there. I also predict Starks will cough the ball up a couple of times. He tries to get that extra yard and being a rookie trying to prove himself he doesn't know better, the Bears will strip, slap, and put a helmet on that ball. I don't think it's going to be pretty, but who cares, Bears will grit it out.

It is time for the Bears to win the Superbowl again. It would be a great way to celebrate the 26th anniversary!

    Bears backers are very confused.

First it's "Bears are so legit they will win SU", but then say things like "Public pounding the packers, yet the line sits quietly at 3.5", as if 3.5 for a home team in #1 rivalry in the NFCCG is a modest amount and the line should be +6.

If the Bears are so legit, they wouldn't be getting a massive 3.5 at home in a game like this to allow "sharps" to pound the most obvious high value play of the playoffs. Even the fuking Chiefs got just +3 at home to the Ravens, and 85% hit the Ravens.

And NFL wants Bears in Super Bowl? You serious? Packers vs. Pitt in Cowboys Stadium will be the most hyped, highest rated Super Bowl in history. They're the two most storied franchises with the top 2 fan bases bar none. Could you imagine the storylines about Packers Offense on turf against Steelers #1 D? Or Packers redemption "Life After Favre"? GTFO.

I'm on this too. All week I've been thinking Packers, but there's way too many people on the road team in this one.

A few thing genuis. I never said they will win SU. However, I did say the public is pounding the packers yet the line sits quietly at 3.5 BECAUSE ITS TRUE. Its pretty simple guy, the consensus is close to 70-30 but the line isnt moving, FACT. Oh, and WTF does the Ravens Chiefs game have to do with this game? lol. What a stretch. Start a thread and give your reason for taking the Packers is because the Ravens beat the chiefs when they were getting 3 at home. hahahah! Dude, bears is the play here. These teams are not that drastically different talent wise for the bears to be getting 3 plus a free hook at home. Sorry, the packers just arent that good. Oh, and the NFL does not want the packers and their 50,000 fans in the Superbowl, THATS A FACT. They want one of the biggest cities in the country, and TWO of the most storied teams in NFL history. BEARS AND STEELERS. Bears big city team and steelers the most succesful franchise and biggest outside fan base (except for Dallas) in the entire league. Wake up bud, the only people who give a fuk about the packers are people in Wisconsin.

I have the same gut feeling. It just feels like the game is setting up to be a field goal win for either Green Bay or the Bears, and that the sportsbooks are loving all of the action on the Packers -3.5

This reminds me a lot of last year with the Saints being -3.5 (after moving down from -4.5), but squeaking out the field goal in OT to win and not cover. The difference is this time the home team is +3.5, and it is against a division rival. Just like you are saying El Stugoto, the 3 points plus the hook is huge with the home underdog here.
