QUESTION, you need a QB for the next 5 years........where do you rank JOSH FREEMAN?

Had this discussion last evening at watering hole......one regular(remember this is in Tampa) had no qualms with putting him in his top five and possibly top three.

I like Freeman, but he doesn't make my top five for the next five years, probably someplace 6th-10th.

Interested where most here would rank him.

Again, what QB would you choose to guide your team over the next FIVE YEARS?

Would take these TOP SIX below for sure.........then it becomes very difficult in my opinion.

    1. BRADY
    2. MANNING
    3. BREES
    4. ROGERS
    5. RIVERS
    6. SCHAUB

    7T. VICK
    7T. CASSEL
    7T. FREEMAN
    7T. RYAN
    7T. BRADFORD

I agree with your assessment of Freeman in 6-10 position.

Brady is easy #1 pick for me.

I'm not to familiar with Freeman. He is young and that is always a plus in the NFL. Based on the few times I actually watched him on the field he does seem to have what it takes to be a starting QB in the NFL. Honestly I think it's too early to really tell. I would like to see how he does next season. If I had to take a guess now I'd say he has a bright future ahead. Not sure about putting him in a top ten of active QB's in the NFL though. Oh and I would take Brady to guide my team over the next five years.

I did answer. It did not show up originally so I edited my post. No reason to get your panties in a bunch.

No way you can put him in the top 10 yet. The top 6 you have is better, plus M. Ryan, M. Vick, E. Manning, T. Romo, Roethlisberger.

Give him another year or two and see if he's still winning games.

Freeman could be as high as 4 with the age of some of those guys

    1. Roethlisberger
    2. Rivers
    3. Rodgers
    4. Brees
    5. Freeman

I am suprised. A few of you don't even have Tom Brady in your top five.

Cumulative of the five years, I might take Rodgers and Brady, but this cat will be #1 by 2014. Mike Williams and Arrelius Benn are two young monster receivers. He seems to have the intangibles to be great also, but one never knows until we see him play for higher stakes with greater expectations.

Freeman most likely will be another flash in the pan. His team couldn't close the deal after getting off to such a great start.

Tampa was a tough team this year and Freeman did look pretty good

Lets wait and see what he does next year

Right now top 12 to 15 for sure, but compared to the opening list, I would say Big Ben would be in there and Matt Ryan would not be tied for 7, nor would Mike Vick. so maybe in the top 10. It is not that his numbers are not worthy, it's he needs to lead the team to the playoffs beat division rivals when it means TB goes to the playoffs not as their playoff game, take the next step

FREEMAN is a better QB than ELI right now, or at least on par...........and I can't see anything in the next five years that will keep him from surpassing ELI as a better QB other than injury.

    I'd say on par.

Eli had a terrible year. Freeman had a GREAT year, most likely playing way better than he should of. He'll drop back to reality next year.

Do you expect Eli to throw 25 balls to the other team next year? Do you expect the same or better stats from Freeman next year?

Other than Freeman, the list wasn't in order

It asked where would you rank Freeman, not where would you rank the rest of the players

you should take that 10 grand from the dog bite and put it to a 4th grade reading comprehension class. Now that would be AWESOME or

I go with FREEMAN over ELI personally.

    Ok.

Freeman had A good year. I do not think he will have another season of 25 and less than 10int season. He played out of his mind this year.

So yes for the next 5 years, I'd rather have a Super Bowl QB than a guy that had 1 good year.

Freeman had a very solid season, making some marvelous throws down field in tight spots that just "wow'ed" myself and many others.

Do I put him in the top 10? Not yet, is he borderline top 10? Yes.

    12-14th.
