Do you guys think Mangini is gone??

The talk around cleveland after todays game is "outlook not good"... what do you guys think? Has he earned a shot at another season? I have a feeling Holmgrens already made up his mind... Gruden.

WOW, that would surprise me considering the Browns have been in virtually every game this year, shoulda beat the Jets that one week too.

Cleveland doesn't want "competitive", we want titles. He lost too many close games and most in the 4th quarter in crunch time. I'd like him to stay because the team is missing a few pieces but I'd take Gruden any day of the week. I really would like to have Cowher.

    Yes, they've been competitive...

Yes, they've been in about every game...

But Mangini wasn't a Holmgren hire...

And to quote the Big Tuna, "you are what your record says you are"...

Mangini is as good as gone...

I knew somebody that played under him and he said everybody hated him.

You say the Browns haven't won anything, but who picked them to do anything? They don't have the talent other teams have and they were down to their 3rd string quarterback.

BUTTTT they'd probably be better off promoting Rob Ryan to head coach. Of course with giving somebody a token interview.

when you have a shitty ass team with no qb being competitve and winning a few big games is not a bad season while rebuilding

I wouldn't be suprised if Cowher didn't end back up in Cleveland.

You seriously think Cowher would work under Holmgren ? or vi sa versa? no chance. cowher will want GM powers, or more.

As for Mangini, he has done more with less than I think anyone else would have... this team has very little talent right now. Their WR's are easily the worst in the league.. and they have had a QB carousel all year. Mangini should get another year, with some more talent.

If Mangini has a contract left, I think they keep him.

Who could they get that would be better?
    Not sure if they could.

Gruden, Cowher, and Dungy are probably not gonna coach again.
If they did, I don't think they want to go to a perrennial loser.

    So then who?
    College coach?

41-9... Conversation will go somthing like this

Mangini: Coach Holmgren I just want you to (interuption)

Holmgren: Eric stop right there... If your interested you can be one of my waterboys next year. I know you have experience in the area with the browns. If not good luck... Your fired.
