The offseason feud between the Bengals and disgruntled wide receiver Chad Johnson appears to have amped up even as the team took the field for its second mandatory minicamp practice Thursday afternoon.

The club released a statement that said Johnson refused to practice Thursday morning after complaining about a back ailment to the training staff. But the team said he made no such mention of any problems during a physical earlier in the morning when a team doctor cleared him to participate.

Before the team statement, Johnson's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said earlier Thursday that an injured ankle prohibited his client from practicing.
Something tells me this is getting good, we haven't seen the last of these type of tactics.
