    steelers vs. pats

    there is a reason why the line started high and stayed there. this just isnt the same pats. once again, the steelers barely lose at home, and almost never at night. the pats defense is weak at each level. the steelers may be the most well-rounded offense in nfl. nothing is the best, but each facet is very good. the steelers did get banged up last week a little, but of the three injuries only one will effect the game tonight. max starks, left tackle, is done for year. the other two, are fine and will play tonight. pouncey being the most important of them all. new england has injuries everywhere: wr, ol, db, lb, rb.

    the last time n.e. came to pittsburgh during regular season the steelers smashed them, but that was a while ago. the steelers see this game as a chance to gain a game on baltimore and solidify homefield in the playoffs. ben is finally getting to where he needs to be, and the pats defense isnt going to put up much fight tonight.

    pats got a new kicker tonight. i know he is a vet, buit i also know pittsburgh is the hardesst place to kick in the nfl. reed missed a pair last week, and i look for him to rebound as well.

    brady will feel the wrath of the badest ass lb group in nfl. the pats have no ground game, so pin the ears back and go "gay hair" hunting. i can see woodhead picking up harrison, woodley, and timmons cant you??? ha yah ok.

    heath miller and mike wallace will be making play after play tonight as hines does what he does, and mendenhall has a big game as well. i will be shocked if the steelers arent in the 30's by the end of the game. having said that, i dont see the pats scoring more than 20. polamalu does somethin special tonight....just a gut feeling.

    who have the pats beat to justify taking them, exactly.

    i lean the over as well.

    good info. i'm confident that steelers are the better team here, but after an embarassing loss last week, i feel the pats will want to show up n play hard. but i hope you're right, i have my $$$ on steelers.

    Sorry folks, Steelers take this one at home. ML for sure, medium play on the -4.5.

    Pats simply aren't that good this year. If Cleveland can shut Brady down, so can Pittsburgh at home.

    Pats bounce back and win by 7+. Remember Bellichick has only lossed back to back games twice in his tenure with the Pats. I'm leaning the over on this one too.

    That trend ends tonight! Brady doesn't have solid veteran WRs he can rely on and no running game.
    Pitt clearly has an edge with D, home field, and big Ben finds ways to win. Fade the PATS!

    Yes, Pitts are indeed a better team, but none the less I believe that both team are going excel offensively because I don't see this is a defensive based match-up. +5 for pats is questionable but a larger spread seems to offer more security

    Pats +11 over 39 teaser for me tonight. Thoughts?

    I also took teaser Pats +10 1/2 and over 39. Felt the 4 1/2 spread could go either way, feel much more confident now.

    Pats got like 5 guys as out or questionable with injury

    i listen to WEEI local radio all week on Pats

    would be very surprised if Pitt didn't blow them out tonight

    by later in the season expect Pats to be fine for playoffs

    but this game is a Pitt win and cover.

    steelers it is. public and almost everyone in this thread is on the Pats just b/c of who the Pats are in years past and at home this year. Way too many holes in the defense and Mendenhall will destroy them on the ground. Too many injuries......Public gets buried here tonight betting on the Pats. Public dogs = fade!
