    The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants will play for the third time this season in the NFC Divisional Playoffs next Sunday. Dallas won the first two games.

    Since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970, there have been 17 other times when a team went into a playoff game with a chance to complete a three-game season sweep, according to STATS, Inc. Those teams are 11-6. Here are the previous matchups, with the team that won both regular-season games listed first, along with the postseason result:

    The media (especially the NFL newtork) is trying its best to make this out to be a good game. They talk about Romo's thumb and Jessica Simpson. They talk about Eli being due. They talk about how the Giants beat Tampa. They talk about TO.

    I don't think the Giants are for real. They will lose by double digits in Big D. I think Eli finds himself all alone on the sideline, with that sad droopy eyed look on his face, come the 2 minute warning, right after he has thrown his 3rd int. Dallas wins big.

    Great post, Any idea on the ATS record?

    Because Im sure most of them were over a td favorite, just like the boys. . . This has very little correlation, but i was just curious

    Haven't seen it. You'd probably have to look it up on a game by game basis.
