Roger Goodell has agreed to broadcast Saturday's game to the masses.

It doesn't really matter to me at all, because I get the NFL Network and the NY local channels.

I am glad to hear it is on regular tv. I thought they would do that because it could be history in the making.

I am surprised he went through with it. Afterall, this was Goodell's ace in the hole with his ongoing fight with the cable company.

He made a revised offer, and they didn't budge. I'm glad he felt the pressure from Washington and decided to do what's right. The NFL is certainly not a fan favorite in Washington, and I'm glad cable companies are standing up to them. As soon as the NFL's antitrust exemption was threatened to be reconsidered, the league went against its earlier promises of "not caving in".

They would prefer all homes receiving NFL network, because that equals more revenue for them, but they're not going to be reasonable or take the initiative in making that happen. Unless of course it is through Direct TV that pays them hundreds of millions for their monopoly of Sunday Ticket.

Great news. Heard John Kerry really got on Goodell's ass to make him do this.

why on CBS and NBC, people without NFL network only need one of them.
