But, Pittsburgh is, for whatever reason, a better road team than home team (as is Carolina). So the home field, even in a tough environment, isn't as much of a factor as it is at times.

Well, I was going to fade Denver bigtime. One of the angles I use has that fade as a 72% winner... Unfortunately, there is another angle. And it points the other way. More work to be done. Leaning towards Steelers, though, and got an initial position at +3.5.

Just a brief impression of this weekend:
    - Broncos needed 5 TO's, and still could only win the game with 14 points handed to them by the refs... A victory, but far from impressive. And a great reminder to the Steelers NOT to turn the ball over.

    - Steelers completely outplayed the team all the 'experts' were sure would win the Super Bowl. Not even the refs could change that. VERY impressive!

The Steelers are the better team. More balanced, more resilient, better QB, etc. So this comes down to homefield. - - Later.

The only thing that makes me even consider Denver is their post season homefield advantage. It is worth 4.5 points on my scale. From a talent standpoint Pittsburgh is considerably better. I'm certainly not going to listen to any Denver "homers". I am in Dark Horse's camp right now but I live on IMG's planet so I'll keep reading until he speaks a little louder...

Pitt did look good Denver will need to play a much better game to win I do think they have the edge with the home field but I won't lay anything more than 3

Not sure how anyone can come out of this weekend saying anyone looks better than Pittsburgh. Seattle won by 10 but it wasn't impressive and it wasn't against a great team. Carolina won by 8 and looked great but lost their RB and their defense gave up points against a horrible offense. Denver won by the largest margin but anyone who actually saw the game knows that is not telling. Pittsburgh only won by 3 but they throttled the best offense in the NFL while moving the ball effectively themselves.
