Brooks Bollinger will start for the Vikings

With Tarvaris Jackson recovering from a concussion and veteran backup Kelly Holcomb still not all the way back from a neck injury, Brooks Bollinger will start for the Vikings.

Brooks isn't bad, but I'm hoping he tosses 8 INTs and gets sacked 12 times.

Brooks isn't good either. I mean honestly how good can you be if you can't start over Jackson and Holcombe?

He was horrible when he played for the Jets and I think the fast, young, athletic Packers defense causes a few Bollinger turnovers and keeps Peterson in check much like their first meeting.

This is a perfect game for the Pack IMO. The Packers running game is bad to say the least, 32nd in the league. But they have the 2nd ranked passing game in the league. On the other hand the Vikings defense ranks 31st against the pass and 2nd against the run. This, IMO will heavily favor the Packers.

Especially if you add in the fact that the Packers defense is 8th against the rush and a pedestrian 20th against the pass, which shouldn't hurt when you are facing the worst passing team in the league.

I think the Packers roll by 10+.

This still is not going to sway me off of the Vikings +6. Thanks for the heads up though.

I'm on the Vikings, and I'd rather see bollinger play than Jackson

I am liking MINNY and the under and here's why:

    MINNY at GB(-6.5) Total 40.5
MINNY 8-2-1 ATS as div road dogs since 2002
MINNY 1-7 Under off a SU win of 14+ pts since 2003
GB 1-7 ATS as div home favs since 2004
In this series the dog has covered 16 of last 17 games
The point totals have been same or lower in GB last 8 straight years. (39 pts in Minny)
    MINNESOTA and UNDER

I agree with that assessment IMG. I think some people in this thread might just be surprised tomorrow.

Bollinger is decent, but I am guessing the bulk of the Viking offense will be running the ball and keeping the GB offense off the field if possible.

Did you watch him play with the Jets in 2005?

The Vikings secondary is terrible! There is a reason they rank 31st against the pass.

I think Peterson just broke his leg. His leg looked crooked just under his knee. Ouch. I hope my eyes are wrong because he is having a great season and he is fun to watch.

Edit: Well it's not broke he is walking off the field. But it definitly didn't look good.

Once Peterson got hurt, Bollenger and the Viking had little chance.

Peterson went down in the 3rd quarter? I think Bollinger had 38 yards passing at that point.

Yeah, AD going down did NOT effect the ultimate outcome of this game. The Pack put a beat down on the Vikes from the opening whistle until the final gun.

I do hope the MRI shows AD knee to be sound. Having a helluva rookie year. Hope he's OK...
