    Bobbybaseball's early LOCK future bet

Future preseason LOCK - NY Jets to win the AFC east division.

First off let me start by saying I'm a die-hard Jets fan all my life. This is not a biased opinion because every year I go in expecting them to be avg at best. I'm a realist. I know if my team is going to compete in the division or for a championship. I've been waiting 25 years for this.

THE NEW YORK JETS WILL DO THE FOLLOWING:

--Be the #1 defense in the NFL in a LANDSLIDE. Won't even be close. GANG GREEN BABY!

--Give up the least amount of points in the NFL

    --Win 12-14 games.

    --Win the Division

--Have a first round bye in the playoffs

--Lead the NFL in rushing, AGAIN

The Jets have been one of the ONLY teams in the NFL to take advantage of this only season without a salary cap and with good reason. They know they can do it in one year!! They have been throwing money everywhere to everyone. How many times this offseason have you seen a player's name came up for a trade or free agent (Especially defense) where the Jets name hasn't came up?

This team was by far an overachiever last year no doubt about it. Even I only predicted 9 wins AT BEST from them, as I knew the defense was going to get it done.

Let me also finish by saying this- Mark Sanchez is HORRIBLE in my opinion. I don't see potential in him as far as being a dominating top 5 or even top 10 qb in this league and by all means I hope he proves me wrong on that. But you know what? It doesn't matter for this team!

Sanchez has 3 things I love and it's all this team needs. HEART, LEADERSHIP, and BRAINS. All this guy needs to do is hand-off the ball, get a couple first downs here and there, and learn to not throw interceptions by wanting to be the hero. This season will be a cakewalk for him once he understands his defense is going to win them 11 games alone. We just need him to manage winning 2 or 3 at best.

Jason Taylor is the biggest dick ever for leaving Miami and going to the Jets isn't he? Yeh, that's a tough thing to do but you know what? He's not an idiot he knows what's going down this year for the Jets. It's all about that trophy!!!!

Jets divisions winners- STONE COLD LOCK!

Jets AFC champs- I won't guarantee this but the value is still awesome on it right now and they will most likely be in this game again. Gotta beat Peyton!

Jets superbowl champs!!!!!!!- By far the best VALUE on the board.

Get your futures in now the price is only going to go down week by week when ppl realize how special this defense is going to be. Possibly the best ever??

J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

I wouldn't worry about that. They're fine at WR now.

Not even close, but an admitted homer. The Jets do not have the offense needed to win the AFC title. Jason Taylor is worthless. Remember, they basically backed into the playoffs last year, even with their great defense. This season, their fate is sealed in the first 5 weeks of the season, when they play Baltimore, New England and Minnestoa at home, and Miami and Buffalo on the road. Anything less than 3-2, and the Jets are finished. The Jets could easily lose 2 of those 3 games at home, and lose to Miami in Miami. The Jets lost both games to Miami last year, and the Fish will be improved this season.

I will be glad to fade any Jets homer in here on the season. Just tell me how much you want to lose. Another stone cold lock that will turn into a loser, just like most do. At least Bobbybaseballs (man, you have got to change that ridiculous screen name) admits that he is a homer. He is also a Mets fan, so that should tell you a lot.

Your whole first paragraph was basically plagiarized from what I all ready included stain. I said I was a Jetsfan and it was 110% not a homer post. Said they overachieved last year. I said the offense with Sanchez running it will not be productive but they dont need it to be.

What was your point? Sour from me owning you for life in every contest? ROFL
Stop hating. You know who the best capper around is thats' why you can't come up with your own arguements for the post. I mean you're a Bears fan hahahahaha. Game over there.

And unfortunately, you dont have the bankroll to book my division winner bet cuz I'd love to bust you and that penny bankroll.

Read the whole thing next time too. You wont look like such a toolbox, like always. Dumbass.

And before you try running your broke mouth with a reply, post up a couple dimes somewhere and we can do any handicapping contest you want I'll let you pick. We both know you wont be doing that during baseball season. Tout.

You are right about one thing. I do not wager on baseball, so there will be no action during the summer. Now when it comes to football, we will discuss that on a game to game basis. Having said that, I will be glad to take all the action you want on the Jets winning the AFC Crown and the Superbowl. I will also consider taking action on the Jets winning the AFC East, once those lines are posted. The Jets and the Mets. Two of the biggest losers out there. And do something about your screen name. It sounds like something Charlie Harper came up with.

I didnt make the name up, it was given to me by everyone over the years. And like I said you can't afford to book my bet on the Jets, I know your range. Take that bag of peanuts to a circus.

Their defense should be even better then last year though, they will be a good team, but they still have a very young and unproven quarterback. They will win maybe 10-11 games at best. They should make the playoffs, but won't get a whole lot further then that.

revis is going to get owned by the refs this year

and the biggest concern for the jets is their run game. Thomas jones is a beast and the main reason for their offensive numbers last year and now he is gone. Jets will still be able to run, and run a lot but to think you can just plugNplay to reproduce Jones numbers is foolish. I have no doubt Jets will be a force for the years to come, assuming sanchez continues to develop, but people are drinking that KOOLAID hard this year after jets cinderella run last year.

12-14 games would be impressive, im personally thinking 8-10 but i also have jets losing their first 3 games.

Jets let go of T-Jones cuz Greene is a monster and will do the same if not better......Top 2 or 3 rb in the Nfl next year for sure with the 2nd best offensive line in the NFL..........LT is going to show you how valuable he can be as a 3rd down back.....Less pressure on him and he will get plenty of screens to bust.

well i definitely like the scene change for LT, and i do think greene could replace jones but i just wonder if he can shoulder a whole seasons worth of carries. Jets O-line is nasty, just about anyone could run behind them with success.

Yeh Im more excited about Greene next year than anything......Loved him at Iowa the guy can definitely handle the load......Kid is explosive......He's not a young kid with potential, hes a guaranteed stud barring injury.

lol not biased, its tough to say thats a lock considering Tom Brady is in that division and an up an coming Dolphins team, im personally a die hard giants fan, i dont hate the jets, i hate their arrogant fans, i believe theyll go 10-6 and take the wild card, letting Thomas Jones go is going to be the reason they dont win around 12 games.

You don't bet more than 7-8 NFL games? So, what do you bet during this period? College I guess?

Nah I dont bother trying to beat the juice......I enjoy Fantasy football with decent sized buy-ins and contests.......I bet during the bowl games in college that's it......If you go look at the bowl contest sbr had this year you can see I pummeled......Won like 6k in contests between sbr and the site next door.....If pinny ever opened up for US players I might give a lil more action. I stick to baseball. That'$ where its at baby.

Greene is better than Jones, not worried about that at all.

I don't understand cutting Faneca though.

I expected the Jets to trade Washington when they tendered him cpl weeks ago just to have control of where he goes but I havent seen who we are going to use to return kicks yet......Faneca is really old man.....Veterans arent as valuable as they used to be......Too easy to put a fresh young body in there instead of waiting on him to break down.

Kyle Wilson can return punts and Brad Smith can return kickoffs.

LOL....everyone here seems to forget what Mr. Schneider has been trying to do in Washington for years.

What is the last team to sign a bunch of high priced free agents and actually do anything?

    Hmmmm, anyone???

Only a jackass would say the Jets suck obviously.....This isn't a high school favorite team war. And the Redskins have been stains for 20 years straight horrible example......Washington tries turing a bad team into something good overnight......Jets are all ready a contending team who has made additions to perfect the run to a championship. They didnt even spend any money on LT or Taylor anyways. Get educated.

That woulda been before the salary cap era. All the top teams did it.

Funny. This year is an uncapped year. Deja Vu, anyone?

    Nice job, brother
I actually picked them as their division winner, specially due to their valuable odd, in my thread.

They do have, though, some relevant question marks above them (QB play, vg). Most, given time to analyze, will become an exclamation mark, but if they don't, expect some serious issues in the regular season.

My "thumbs up" award for offseason actions, if I had one to give, would be probably to the Jets. Few teams can threat becoming better when they reach their conference finals, and the Jets have done exactly that.

    Hopes on!

Is this for real? They didnt improve this offseason, and only victory they had that was impressive last season was against the Chargers, who they matched up with perfectly.

You may be the dumbest stain on this site.....Let's try and keep the high school Patriot fans out of this thread.....The ignorance and hatred for a better team in their division is obvious.....Only possibility for someone saying something so stupid.
