We are starting to see a trend of robbers robbing celebrity sports figures. Antonie Walker was the last one this happen to a few months ago. I wonder who's next, because these guys seem to make 2 hits in the same town before they move on.

Police investigating break-in at home of Robinson

HOUSTON -- Police are investigating a weekend break-in at the suburban home of Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson, in which an occupant was bound and jewelry was taken.

The robbery occurred Saturday night about 8 p.m. when two men got into the house through an unlocked door, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department. One of the men went into the living room and ordered a person to lie on the ground at gunpoint and then bound that person with duct tape. It is unclear if the victim was Robinson or someone else.

The second man searched the residence while the first man bound the victim.

The suspects, wearing Los Angeles Dodgers baseball caps and red bandanas covering their faces, escaped with several pieces of jewelry. The incident remains under investigation.

The home, which is appraised at more than $775,000, is in Sienna Plantation, a subdivision near the Houston suburb of Missouri City.

Two NBA stars were recently the victims of similar crimes.

Bond was set at $5 million each for two masked gunmen accused of tying up and robbing New York Knicks forward Eddy Curry, his wife and an employee at Curry's suburban Chicago mansion on July 28. The home was raided of money and jewelry, police said.

Meanwhile, two Chicago men were charged in the armed robbery of Miami Heat forward Antoine Walker at the player's Chicago townhouse. Walker and a relative were bound with duct tape and held at gunpoint. The gunmen stole Walker's Mercedes, cash and jewelry, police said.
