Aaron Donald the best defense player EVER?

No, lol he hasn't even been better than TJ Watt the last 2 year's, this guy didn't even show up on the stat sheet in the first half of the Super Bowl, is he a great player of course but ALL TIME best? Stop it.

I would agree he is somewhere in the top 15 but certainly not #1. People must quickly forget some of the players that came before him.

Aaron Donald is a great defensive player. I’d take him over TJ Watt everyday and twice on Sunday. No comparison.

Then you haven't watched any Steelers games then cause Watt causes WAY more problems then Donald does.

    LOL

Ends & lbs don't even have to run stop these days.

Think of the days when Chris Doleman was getting 15 sacks per year vs teams running 65% of the time, or John Randle, as a TACKLE, getting 10 sacks per yr vs a double team, or Derrick Thomas & LT playing outdoors vs the off set formation (Gibbs creation) and still terrorizing QBs

Darnold is a wonderful player but I'm not ready to put him in top 15 yet when there's so many men who have better stats in a much tougher era

I grew up watching that LT fella.
Maybe you guys have heard of him, NFL.com top five greatest players of all time.

Reggie White was probably the greatest pass rusher not named Lawrence Taylor.
    Bruce Smith too.

Then you get to your Arnold's and Strahan's and whoever to finish out the top ten.

I'm too young to have seen Deacon Jones, old timers say he was a beast.

It's easier to pad stats from a LB or DE position... To make a living in the middle of the trenches and wreck a game is whole different animal.

He did nothing in the first half. Donald still struggles stopping the run.

Michael Strahan, Reggie White and LT still better just for that position on the field.

Many of today's current players say that Donald is the best player in the NFL. That should tell you something. Best ever? Probably not but we can argue when his career is over.

Single handedly rearranged and changed the way defense is played.

LT didn't even know what the play called meant or what he was supposed to do but rip somebody's head off.

He is comparable to the likes of Strahan and Tuck, not even close to LT, Reggie White etc.

Lots of greats to pick, but in the sort of modern era I got LT and now Donald.
Donald is 60 minutes strong...... it is very usual not to tire out.
It is debatable for sure but Donald is in my top 2.
