If the NFL can't find a way to make it work after months of being to able to watch what other leagues have done, I'll be shocked.

again, it is the nature of the sport and the risks it has vs other sports:

    - largest roster
    - most contact
    - most obese/compromised health potential = Offensive Lineman

the fewer athletes you have on a team and the more spread out they are (baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, nascar) the less risk.

Basketball? the get to to play because are simply very few to Zero bad athletes (obesity) in the NBA.

an offensive lineman in NFL and CFB will end up on a ventilator and once that pic goes public, it is over.

    OPTICS and RISK

This is LEADERSHIP 101. trust me.

You miss the entire point about the NFL season. The owners are in a win-win situation here. They want to see a shortened season (say 12 games) because they will destroy the NFLPA in their next contract negotiations. Players are going to have to take a big hit salary wise this season and a bigger hit when the next contract is negotiated. 90% of the players in the NFL are going to find out just how worthless and expendable they are. The number of players that get a contract after their first one will shrink because it will be cheaper to just sign some rookies and pay them a lot less than a player with 4 or 5 years experience would get.

No fans at most stadiums. Owners dishing out 75 mill for daily tests? No way they play a full season. More like a partial one

I think it will happen in a modified schedule. Owners want the tv revenue, and as most teams cities will not allow fans to attend the games? I think they will shorten the schedule

Here is the new schedule without the last 2 games.

No preseason games will allow the league to follow a schedule recommended by a joint committee. That schedule calls for three weeks of strength and conditioning work, 10 days of non-padded practice and 10 days of padded practice over the final two weeks.

NFL over under = 4.5 games before they have to scrap it due to logistics and COVID clusters on certain teams / position groups on teams
