Saints Might Sign Jameis Winston 😖

Now you talk about have two completely different QB's on your roster.

Brees who rarely throws INT's vs one who does it consistently.

    Can Drew teach him anything?

Drew can teach him to throw 8 yard passes mostly to cut down on interceptions. Jameis always wanting the big play rather than a check down.

are they not grooming that super athlete hybrid QB out of BYU to eventually be a real NFL starter?

    he's fun to watch

can't think of his name at the moment

Saints just getting a capable backup QB..

By capable, I mean he can walk and chew gum at the same time.. well.. most of the time..

That would be a smart move from crab legs to learn under Payton and Brees.

30 plus interceptions last year. That's all you need to know.

On a serious note, Drew can teach him how to prep better and make in-game adjustments.

It's a good move for Jameis.. Look at how Bridgewater has re-ignited his career..

    It's a great move.

Winston is a deep ball thrower. Stretch the field guy w power run game.

I'd gladly take 4500, 35, 20 int if those int were all 30 yards downfield ala a punt type turnover....figuring my WRs are going to catch 1/3 of those same passes for huge plays.

Taysom Hill. He will be 30 this season. Has had major injuries to knees and really can’t throw from the pocket. Was entertaining at BYU but not an nfl starting qb.

Jameis could flourish with Payton. Low risk signing.

First time hearing this. Terrible move by the Saints. The Saints are never the most talented team on both sides of the ball and a schematic offensive advantage with precision passes from Brees are their ONLY advantage most weeks. Look how close their playoff losses have been the last few years when Brees is NOT completing 75% of his passes. It quickly levels the playing field when Brees is even slightly above average. It’s Brees great or bust for the Saints. Jameis is not going to be effective or efficient in the Saints offense. Contrary to popular belief it’s not a big strike offense anymore, it’s ball control and efficiency. Neither of those describe Jameis Winston. More ints and fumbles than tds for jameis in this offense

They have no cap room and they know Ben would pitch a fit if they brought in a legit backup.

    Winston great fit PA

Jameis can't play for Tomlin. You see how he benched Mason Rudolph for 1/4 of the turnovers of Jameis, plus Tomlin won't let a quarterback "kill us" in any game. Tomlin would bench Jameis in the first half.
