NFL Player News - Week of 5/20/19

LAR - Darrell Henderson likes fit with Rams

    Source: NFL.com - Jeremy Bergman

Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson, a third-round rookie out of Memphis, recently told the Los Angeles Times that he's feeling right at home with his new team. 'If you go back and watch my college film and you watch the Rams film, it's the same,' Henderson told the Los Angeles Times this week. 'I thought that was the best system I could get in. So everything worked out great. When I was talking to them, everything was clicking and we developed a relationship. The coaches told me they knew they were going to get me so it was the perfect fit.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Henderson is a big play just waiting to happen. He's fast in a straight line and can eat up chunks of yards quickly. Henderson is not a pile-pusher in the middle, but he's not afraid to run inside. Scouts say his skill set is reminiscent of Tevin Coleman because of his ability to make field-flipping plays. The rookie will serve as a change-of-pace back behind Todd Gurley in 2019.

IND - TE Ross Travis should be ready for camp

Source: 1070 The Fan - Kevin Bowen

Indianapolis Colts TE Ross Travis (knee) should be cleared to participate in training camp.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Travis was undrafted out of Penn State in 2015 and got a chance with the Chiefs for a couple of seasons. The Colts picked him up in 2017 and in the final 2018 preseason game, Travis suffered a torn ACL. He didn't play college football and was a basketball player instead. We always love long-shots like Travis in super crazy deep dynasty formats. We'll keep an eye on him now that he's healthy.

DEN - Noah Fant likely to split time

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant is a better receiver than blocker but will likely split time during his first season with veteran Jeff Heuerman in the opinion of a veteran beat reporter.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Heuerman is going to be the primary blocker at the position. Fant is an effort blocker but the Broncos selected him in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft to be a receiving weapon. It's not outlandish to project 50 catches for Fant as a rookie, even splitting time in the Broncos offense. Fant has TE2 appeal with upside for Fantasy GMs.

MIN - Expectations higher for QB Kirk Cousins

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Sid Hartman

Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins is entering his second season with the team and along with that come higher expectations. 'I think a year under his belt here in Minnesota and his familiarity with everything is going to bode well,' Vikings co-owner Mark Wilf said in the Minneapolis Star Tribune on Sunday, May 19. 'He's doing great. We expect a lot out of him as well as our whole team.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings were in the NFC Championship Game with Case Keenum at quarterback two years ago. Last year, with Cousins, they failed to make the postseason. After giving Cousins the first fully-guaranteed contract in the NFL, the Vikings are looking for championships...not staying at home in January. No quarterback is under more pressure to perform in 2019 than Cousins. He's got a current ADP of QB19 (12.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.

DEN - Brett Rypien has the tools?

Source: 104.3 The Fan - Cecil Lammey

Denver Broncos QB Brett Rypien showed great footwork and anticipation on his throws during rookie minicamp, according to Cecil Lammey of 104.3 The Fan, and Lammey believes Rypien is 'ready to run' the Denver offense.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rypien had many more dropbacks from under center than most college quarterbacks. He had 48 passing attempts when working from under center in 2018. By comparison, fellow Broncos rookie QB Drew Lock only had five such attempts last year. Rypien doesn't have the big arm that Lock does, but he looks comfortable at Broncos rookie minicamp and OTAs so far this offseason. We think he's got the ability to be a solid backup and spot starter for years. Lock has a higher ceiling and could be a franchise quarterback, but he's got more to learn than Rypien does when it comes to running a pro-style offense.

ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald set to rebound?

    Source: NFL.com - Bucky Brooks

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald could reach 100 catches because of all the 'quick-rhythm throws' in head coach Kliff Kingsbury's offense, in the opinion of Bucky Brooks of NFL.com.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzgerald has WR2 with upside potential in this new Cardinals offense. They were inept last year in the passing game, and Fitzgerald's numbers suffered because of it. Now, Kingsbury is going to focus on short/rhythm passing and that could mean good production for the veteran. The Cardinals have a great group of young receivers like Christian Kirk, Hakeem Butler and Andy Isabella to open things up all around Fitzgerald.

BUF - Duke Williams showing maturity

    Source: BuffaloBills.com - John Murphy

Buffalo Bills WR Duke Williams has 'developed some self-awareness' about what he needs to do on and off the field to be successful in the NFL, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Back in January, the Bills wasted no time in adding the CFL's leading receiver. In the 2018 season with the Edmonton Eskimos (18 games), Williams posted 88 receptions for almost 1,600 yards (1,579) and 11 touchdowns. Undrafted out of Auburn in 2016, Williams did get a cup of coffee as a rookie tryout player with the Rams that year. Now, back in the NFL, the 6'3" 225 pound receiver is trying to latch on with the Bills. We'll monitor his progress in deep dynasty formats.

MIA - Knee issue for WR Ricardo Louis

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins WR Ricardo Louis (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a knee injury, according to a league source. It was initially reported that Louis was dealing with a neck injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Louis missed the 2018 season with a neck injury. Now, he's lost for the year due to a knee injury suffered this offseason. Louis is going to have a difficult time continuing his pro career that had some minor flashes early on when he was with the Browns. He's set to be an RFA for the Dolphins following this season.

PHI - Philly starts talks with QB Carson Wentz

    Source: ESPN.com - Tim McManus

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz has started contract extension talks with the Eagles, but the two sides are not close to an agreement at this point.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's not a big hurry here. The Eagles have Wentz under contract through the 2020 season with the fifth-year option the 2016 first-round pick had picked up by the team. Wentz needs to stay healthy and that's about it. When healthy, the young quarterback has the upside to be one of the best in the game. If he plays well for a full season in 2019, Wentz's price is only going to go up.

I still think Wentz has potential to be a top 3 QB. Philly would be smart to lock him up now.

    Tuesday Update

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott Involved In Las Vegas Incident

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Darin Gantt

Darin Gantt reports, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was handcuffed by security at a music festival in Las Vegas early Saturday morning, after shoving a security guard to the ground.

Elliott's attorney, Frank Salzano, said security was "overreacting."

"Security misconstrued and overreacted to the situation," Salzano said.

"He was cuffed as a precautionary measure," he added. "He was released with no charges. He left Vegas that night and went to his [youth football camp in Dallas] on Sunday."

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

For better or for worse, there is video on this. Either way, it's not a good look. And obviously, Elliott has a disciplinary history with this Commissioner. Stay tuned as this one unfolds.

PHI - No limits on QB Carson Wentz during OTAs

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) is reportedly progressing well from his back injury and will not be limited for on-field drills during organized team activities beginning Tuesday, May 21. While the team will be cautious with him, he is expected to be involved in the majority of all work, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Eagles here. Wentz is in line for a new contract, although the team does control his rights through the 2020 season due to the fifth-year option for the 2016 first-round pick. He needs to stay healthy and that's about it for Wentz. He's a proven player who looks like a fine starter when healthy, but injuries have shortened each of the last two seasons.

WAS - RB Derrius Guice likely ready for training camp

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith

Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice (knee) has reportedly 'made good progress' and is expected to take part fully in training camp, according to comments made by head coach Jay Gruden on Monday, May 20.'Derrius is coming along very well. We're just trying to make sure that leg - his quad and everything - is full strength before we let him go. That will probably be another thing we'll wait for training camp as well,' Gruden said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Guice missed all of his rookie season in 2018 due to this knee injury and he's had a rocky road during his recovery. If he can regain his speed, Guice has the potential to be a quality starter in the NFL. Guice is behind Adrian Peterson on the depth chart but could be groomed as the RB of the future in Washington.

CIN - No OTAs for WR A.J. Green

    Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (toe) will not participate during organized team activities, but there is a chance he will take part in minicamp, according to ESPN's Katherine Terrell, who adds Green 'definitely' will be ready for training camp.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Green is a seasoned veteran and a superstar receiver. He doesn't need every rep in the offseason, even with the Bengals learning a different system under new head coach Zac Taylor.

DAL - No progress in WR Amari Cooper contract talks

Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Clarence E. Hill Jr.

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper is at a stalemate in contract extension talks with the Cowboys, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cowboys have some big-money deals coming up with guys like Cooper, QB Dak Prescott and RB Ezekiel Elliott. There is buzz that Cooper wants to best the top WR salary (annually) that Odell Beckham Jr. currently makes at $18MM per year. Cooper made an instant impact for the Cowboys last year after they traded the Raiders for him and they'll get some deal done...no matter how painful that price tag might be.

MIN - TE Kyle Rudolph to practice Tuesday

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph said he plans to participate in practice Tuesday, May 21, even though his future with the team is uncertain.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There are reports that the Vikings have not asked Rudolph to take a pay cut. Last week, Rudolph exclaimed that he wouldn't take a pay cut because he's 'too young' to do so. With a cap number of $7.6 million in 2018, the final year of his deal, we expect the Vikings to re-work that number in any way possible -- whether that be through extension or release.

TB - WR Breshad Perriman making early impression

    Source: PewterReport.com - Scott Reynolds

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Breshad Perriman appears to have established an early rhythm with Jameis Winston, according to Pewter Report's Scott Reynolds.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is yet another positive piece about Perriman. It doesn't mean he's made it or turned things around, but it is a clue as to how things are progressing for him. Injuries derailed his pro career to this point but Perriman seems to be impressing early on with his fresh start in Tampa.

HOU - Floyd Allen hooks up with Houston

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Undrafted rookie free-agent WR Floyd Allen (Mississippi) signed an undisclosed contract with the Houston Texans on Monday, May 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen's journey to the NFL has been a wild one to say the least. From an ACL tear in high school, to four colleges in five years, to battling a season-ending ankle injury, to being homeless and sleeping in his car - Allen has never given up on his dream to play in the NFL. He's a Houston native and gets to stay close to home with the opportunity to impress the Texans. At 5'10" 199 pounds, Allen has good athleticism and run-after-the-catch ability. We love his story, will monitor him in crazy deep dynasty formats but know that he's a long-shot to make the team.

IND - QB Chad Kelly signs with Colts

    Source: Colts.com - Andrew Walker

Free-agent QB Chad Kelly (Broncos) signed an undisclosed deal with the Indianapolis Colts Monday, May 20. DT Jordan Thompson was waived.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelly's career has been a wild one in the NFL. He was 'Mr. Irrelevant' as the final pick in the 2017 NFL draft, then he worked his way up to be the primary backup to Case Keenum with the Broncos, then he was booted off the team after an off field incident after a Halloween party. Kelly was out of football for about half of the year as he dealt with his court case. Now, he'll try to make an impression with the Colts...likely as a third-string quarterback behind Andrew Luck and Jacoby Brissett.

    Wednesday Update

BUF - TE Tyler Kroft suffered broken foot

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Buffalo Bills TE Tyler Kroft (foot) suffered a broken foot Monday, May 20, and will require surgery that should keep him out three to four months. He
could begin the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If he was to be placed on the PUP list, Kroft would be forced to miss the first six weeks of the regular season. After that time, the Bills would have three weeks to decide whether or not to activate Kroft or put him on season-ending Injured Reserve. Kroft was in line to start after the Bills picked him up in free agency earlier this offseason. Watch to see if rookie third-round pick Dawson Knox emerges while Kroft is down.

PHI - QB Carson Wentz has no limitations

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has no limitations in organized team activities, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for the Eagles here. The team is going to be cautious with Wentz but he's going to be involved in most of the work the team does in OTAs and minicamp. Now, we'll see if the Eagles can get something done on a contract extension for their franchise quarterback.

NE - WR Julian Edelman receives extension

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman received a two-year extension Tuesday, May 21. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman was entering the final year of his contract and the Patriots now keep him under contract through his age-35 season. He's Tom Brady's favorite target and should continue in that role even though the Patriots have revamped their WR corps. Fantasy GMs are currently taking Edelman off the board at WR15 (4.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

ARI - RB David Johnson, WR Larry Fitzgerald absent

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson and WR Larry Fitzgerald were not present during practice Monday, May 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Not a big deal here. Both are under contract, Johnson through the 2021 season and Fitzgerald on his new one-year deal, so it's not like money is a problem with either star player. It's the voluntary portion of the offseason, and these two are choosing to work on their own. They should both report for mandatory minicamp when that rolls around. Johnson is expecting to be used more under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury while Fitzgerald could thrive as an underneath receiver in the 'Air Raid' offense.

ATL - WR Julio Jones absent from workouts

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones was not present for the start of organized team activities Monday, May 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

About 10 days ago, Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff said he's "very encouraged" by Julio Jones' extension talks. The team expects Jones to be at mandatory work in the middle of June, but they only thought he'd sparingly participate in voluntary workouts. The Falcons should get a deal done with Jones that makes him the highest paid wide receiver in the league.

BUF - RB Frank Gore not practicing

    Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills RB Frank Gore (foot, ankle) is not participating in practices because he is coming off foot and ankle injuries.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gore doesn't need to practice that much this offseason. The seasoned veteran just needs to get healthy and produce in the Bills RBBC this season. We'll see how he works into the mix along with LeSean McCoy once training camp hits.

SF - RB Matt Breida suffers pectoral injury

Source: Bay Area News Group - Cam Inman

San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (pectoral) will not take part in organized team activities after slightly tearing a pectoral muscle while lifting weights this spring.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Breida is trying to earn a spot in the RB pecking order with guys like Jerrick McKinnon and Tevin Coleman. This injury sets him back in that task, but reports indicate Breida should be back by training camp.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton moving around well

Source: The Athletic - Stephen Holder

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (ankle) did not appear to be hampered at all Tuesday, May 21, by the 2018 ankle injury that was supposed to keep him limited in practice this offseason, according to Steven Holder of The Athletic.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for Hilton and the Colts here. Earlier reports had Hilton being limited for OTAs but it looks like that wasn't the case. Hilton is a WR1 yet again for Fantasy GMs in 2019 and has a current ADP of WR10 (3.01) in 12-team PPR leagues.

TB - TE Cameron Brate on track for camp

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate (hip) said Tuesday, May 21, he's rehabbing on schedule as he recovers from hip surgery earlier this offseason and is on course to be ready for training camp in late July.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brate had surgery back in January but was cleared for all football activities in April. The team will make sure to ease him back into action during training camp. When healthy, Brate will compete for time/snaps/targets behind O.J. Howard.

BUF - RB T.J. Yeldon dealing with groin injury

Source: WGR Sports Radio 550 - Sal Capaccio

Buffalo Bills RB T.J. Yeldon (groin) missed OTA drills Tuesday, May 21, due to a groin injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon is getting a fresh start with the Bills this year. As a runner, Yeldon may not do much. He's best used as a receiver out of the backfield, catching 171 passes with the Jaguars over the last four years. He better impress in practice because the Bills have a jam-packed backfield with LeSean McCoy, Frank Gore and rookie Devin Singletary.

LAR - WR Cooper Kupp unsure about return

    Source: ESPN.com - Lindsey Thiry

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (knee) said he is happy with the progress he is making in his rehab but does not want to put a timetable on his return.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kupp made it through eight games last year before going down with a knee injury. It's been smooth sailing during his recovery with no known setbacks for the young wide receiver. Rams head coach Sean McVay said the goal is for Kupp to be ready for Week 1. Fantasy GMs are taking Kupp off the board at WR19 (4.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

WAS - QB Case Keenum receives first snap

Source: NBC Sports Washington - JP Finlay

Washington Redskins QB Case Keenum received the first snap during team drills Monday, May 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keenum is the veteran quarterback, so he's going to be at the top of the depth chart to begin workouts. However, it may not take long for rookie first-round pick Dwayne Haskins to take over. Haskins is seen as the quarterback of the future while Keenum is more of a quality backup than he is a regular starter. We'll see this battle unfold in training camp and the preseason.

TEN - TE Delanie Walker getting closer to full health

Source: The Tennessean - Erik Bacharach

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (ankle) estimates he is 'in the 85 percent range' in terms of his recovery from the season-ending ankle injury he suffered in Week 1 of last season. Walker practiced for the first time since before the injury Tuesday, May 21, and appeared to be moving well and cutting smoothly, according to Erik Bacharach of the Tennessean.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Getting Walker back is nothing but a good thing for the Titans offense. Walker is a favorite target of QB Marcus Mariota, who seems to be in a make-or-break year for Tennessee. We see Walker as a TE2 with TE1 upside for Fantasy GMs in 2019. Walker has a current ADP of TE13 (11.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

SF - TE Garrett Celek still in concussion protocol

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers TE Garrett Celek (concussion, back) has yet to be cleared from a concussion he suffered in Week 17 and will get clearance until 'at least' training camp, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 49ers will be cautious as Celek has been recovering for months. The team has George Kittle as their main tight end. Celek will be a reserve behind Kittle and mostly a blocker for the team when healthy.

SF - RB Raheem Mostert had second surgery on arm

Source: The Athletic - Matt Barrows

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (arm) needed a 're-set' after the fracture in his surgically repaired arm wasn't healing properly.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Something to watch here for Fantasy GMs who have Mostert in dynasty formats. The latest adjustment has reportedly added a month to his timetable to return. The 49ers have a jam-packed backfield which could cause plenty of headaches from a fantasy perspective in 2019.

SEA - RB Chris Carson underwent knee procedure

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (knee) 'had a little work done' on his knee recently but should be able to practice again in a couple of weeks, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It sounds like a knee scope but the details of Carson's knee surgery is unknown. It's a situation for Fantasy GMs to watch closely as Carson was set to be the lead back for Seattle. He could still win the top job in training camp, but this injury gives second-year RB Rashaad Penny plenty of opportunity to showcase his skill set.

DEN - WR DaeSean Hamilton limited by knee late in 2018

Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala

Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton spent much of his offseason training in Florida to increase his weight and improve himself physically after struggling with a knee injury near the end of his rookie season, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. Hamilton added his knee feels 'great' now.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hamilton is a great route runner and is looking to make an impact as Denver's no.3 wide receiver. Courtland Sutton should be the leading receiver for the Broncos with Emmanuel Sanders (when healthy) working as a quality no.2 receiver. That doesn't leave much for Hamilton, especially considering TE Noah Fant could catch quite a few passes this season. Continue to monitor or roster Hamilton in dynasty formats while he works for a larger opportunity.

BUF - Jason Croom suffers apparent injury

    Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills TE Jason Croom (undisclosed) left the team's organized training activity session with an athletic trainer for an undisclosed reason, according to WKBW's Joe Buscaglia.

No word on what Croom is dealing with here. However, this would be the second tight end to go down with injury for the Bills this offseason. On Monday, projected starter Tyler Kroft broke his foot and could begin the 2019 season on the PUP list. Rookie Dawson Knox is going to get a large opportunity to impress.

HOU - WR Keke Coutee catching his coach's eye

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans WR Keke Coutee has enjoyed a good spring and has 'really improved,' according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Coutee has a ton of skill but he just needs to stay healthy. He played in only six games last year but flashed potential with the Texans passing game. We'll see if Coutee can stay healthy and produce behind DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller in 2019.

BUF - WR Cole Beasley recovering from surgery

    Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Buffalo Bills WR Cole Beasley (core) underwent core-muscle surgery a few weeks ago, head coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday, May 21, and is being held out of OTAs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beasley should be ready for training camp. The Bills picked him up this offseason to be their new slot receiver. We should see Zay Jones and John Brown on the outside with Beasley working the underneath routes in 2019.

I actually like him in the slot, but all Buffalo WRs need Allen to become better passer. He has the arm, just that nobody knows where ball is going at times. 10/12 TD/INT ratio and comp% just over 50% does not cut it.

    Thursday Update

DAL - No offer for RB Ezekiel Elliott yet

Source: NFL Network - Jane Slater

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott has not received a contract extension offer at this point, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cowboys have some money to shell out in the near future. Elliott, QB Dak Prescott and WR Amari Cooper are all in line for new deals. There are others but those are the 'big 3' that need to be kept...for a good price. According to OverTheCap.com, the Cowboys currently have around $19 million in effective cap space.

DAL - QB Dak Prescott makes counter proposal

Source: NFL Network - Jane Slater

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said his representatives have made a counter proposal after receiving an initial contract offer from the Cowboys. Prescott said he is not sure how close the two sides are at this point.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They are going back and forth about a new deal and that's a good sign. We should see Prescott get a big-money deal in the near future. A fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, Prescott has impressed so much that the Cowboys are likely to pay him around $30 million annually. Fantasy GMs are taking Prescott off the board at QB20 (12.11) in 12-team PPR leagues.

SF - QB Jimmy Garoppolo not fully cleared

    Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (knee) won't be fully cleared for full-team drills until training camp, in part, because the team doesn't want to risk having defenders around his legs. Garoppolo has done work in 7-on-7 drills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's good the 49ers are being cautious here. They need to get the Garoppolo-led team on the right track as head coach Kyle Shanahan enters his third year running the team. Garoppolo has a current ADP of QB16 (11.03) in 12-team PPR leagues.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen fully cleared

    Source: Panthers.com - Max Henson

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) said he has been fully cleared Wednesday, May 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

When healthy, Olsen is still their top tight end and a low-end TE1 for Fantasy GMs. Olsen battled through foot injuries last year and only made it through nine games. He hasn't played a full 16-game season since 2016, and we'll see if he can get back to doing that during his age 34 season.

MIN - Coach thinks TE Kyle Rudolph will stay

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph said he has received a five-year contract extension offer from the Vikings, and head coach Mike Zimmer is confident that Rudolph will remain with the team since the two sides are talking.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rudolph doesn't want to take a pay cut because he's 'too young' and the Vikings want to lower his cap number. They did select Alabama TE Irv Smith Jr. in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft to perhaps be Rudolph's eventual replacement, but they shouldn't be rushing the veteran out the door. There are rumors about what Rudolph wants and how the team may not give him that price, but we'll sit back and wait to see what happens here. It feels like it could go either way but at least Zimmer is optimistic.

OAK - WR Antonio Brown back at practice

Source: The Athletic - Vic Tafur

Oakland Raiders WR Antonio Brown is participating in practice Wednesday, May 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown missed the first day of OTAs. That was not a concern for Raiders head coach Jon Gruden who said this after practice on Tuesday. "He's not here today, hopefully we'll see him here in the next couple days," Gruden said. "[Brown's] been working extremely hard learning our offense and I'm really excited to get him out here, but in the meantime we have plenty of balls to throw and plenty of receivers to throw to." He's back now and Gruden is excited.

CAR - TE Ian Thomas does not practice

Source: The Charlotte Observer - Jourdan Rodrigue

Carolina Panthers TE Ian Thomas (leg) did not participate in practice Wednesday, May 22, because of a sore leg.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A fourth-round pick out of Indiana last year, Thomas filled in nicely for an injured Greg Olsen. As a rookie, Thomas had 36 catches for 333 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Olsen has been cleared from the foot injury that cost him much of the 2018 season, so Thomas goes back to being a backup with Olsen healthy. We still have a lot of love for him in dynasty formats.

SEA - D.K. Metcalf signs rookie contract

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks second-round draft choice WR D.K. Metcalf signed a four-year contract with the Seahawks Wednesday, May 22. Financial terms were not disclosed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Metcalf has to be a captain in the 'pre-draft hype team' as there weren't many players discussed more before the draft at the end of April. He's big, fast in a straight line and has great weight room selfies. Metcalf needs to be more nuanced as a route runner but he also could be more physical at the catch point, especially because he's incredibly strong. The upside is through the roof for Metcalf, but he's raw and unfinished....and he has had trouble staying healthy. His career should be fun to watch unfold because of the high ceiling but expect the rookie to perhaps have a larger learning curve than others in his class.

DET - WR Jermaine Kearse worked out for Lions

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent WR Jermaine Kearse (Jets) worked out for the Detroit Lions this week, but the two sides were unable to reach an agreement.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Lions could be updating their emergency list here. Kearse had a down 2018 season with the Jets and has not had that much interest on the open market. He does have previous experience playing under Lions OC Darrell Bevell from their days working together in Seattle.

DEN - Drew Lock working with third team

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock continues to work the third team offense in OTAs, according to 9News' Mike Klis. QB Kevin Hogan has been receiving the second-team reps.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos are making the rookie earn his spot on the depth chart. Lock has a big arm and can make off-platform throws with ease. He didn't really work from under center during his college career and will have to get used to that in the Rich Scangarello system. Lock could be the future for the Broncos but he is clearly behind Joe Flacco and has yet to beat out Kevin Hogan. We'll likely see Lock climb to No.2 on the depth chart during training camp.

    Friday Update

NYJ - Adam Gase says Le'Veon Bell won't be traded

Source: New York Post - Brian Costello

New York Jets head coach Adam Gase on Thursday, May 23, called a recent report 'ridiculous' that the Jets will consider trading RB Le'Veon Bell before he played a down with the team.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Not only did Gase shoot down the rumblings about Bell getting traded, he also said that he was excited to work with the superstar back. Things are a bit tumultuous with the Jets right now, but Fantasy GMs should know that Bell is going to be the centerpiece of the offense. He's going to get enough work as a runner and receiver out of the backfield to warrant a top-10 selection. Bell has a current ADP of RB6 (1.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.

ATL - RB Devonta Freeman participating in OTAs

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Kelsey Conway

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (knee, groin, foot) is participating in OTAs Thursday, May 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for Freeman and Fantasy GMs here. Freeman didn't look like himself last year battling through various injuries. This year, he's set to bounce back in a big way. Not only is he fully healthy, the team let Tevin Coleman (49ers) move on in free agency. Fantasy GMs are currently taking Freeman off the board at RB14 (2.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

NO - WR Cameron Meredith still not practicing

Source: The Times-Picayune - Josh Katzenstein

New Orleans Saints WR Cameron Meredith (knee) spent most of the session at organized team activities on the field with a trainer but did not practice Thursday, May 23.'He's on the sideline, but they say probably next week he can do a little bit more. But he looks healthy. He looks good. He looks like he's coming along well,' receivers coach Curtis Johnson said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Back in March, Meredith agreed to a $2.1 million pay cut. He appeared in six games with the Saints last year but didn't do much, only getting targeted 10 times. This knee problem has been plaguing Meredith for quite some time. He has the talent, and the opportunity in this high-powered Saints offense, to have a bounce-back season in 2019. We might also see him not make the 53-man roster. It's setting up to be a boom-or-bust type of year for Meredith as he wants to get his career back on track.

DEN - Noah Fant inks rookie deal

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos first-round TE Noah Fant (Iowa) signed a four-year contract that includes a fifth-year team option Thursday, May 23. Exact financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed, but the signing bonus is worth a reported $7.17 million.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fant could be one of the top rookie tight ends this year. He's going to be in a Rich Scangarello offense that has roots in the Shanahan/Kubiak offenses of Broncos past. Fant is going to be catching passes from a rejuvenated Joe Flacco...and quarterback known for targeting tight ends early and often. Look at the rookie as a sneaky TE2 with upside in 2019.

Free-agent RBs Fozzy Whittaker, Rob Kelley and Javorius Allen worked out for the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, May 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Saints are just updating their emergency list here. They have veteran Latavius Murray as the primary backup to Alvin Kamara this year. Behind Murray, Dwayne Washington and undrafted rookie Devine Ozigbo will compete to establish a pecking order.

DAL - Mike Weber resumes practicing

    Source: DallasCowboys.com - Nick Eatman

Dallas Cowboys RB Mike Weber (knee) returned to practice Wednesday, May 22, after hurting his knee at rookie minicamp earlier this month, taking part in both individual and team drills this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Weber was a seventh-round pick out of Ohio State in the 2019 NFL draft. The Cowboys are going to see if Weber can earn a spot on the depth chart behind fellow Buckeye Ezekiel Elliott. Weber is your classic banger at 5'11" 211 pounds. He's a determined runner with little nuance to his game. Weber is going to hard charge to and through the line but has a hard time creating his own space with moves. He can be used as a relief-valve receiver out of the backfield but needs to improve his pass-protection ability.

CIN - WR Tyler Boyd seeking big pay day

Source: The Athletic - Paul Dehner Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd is seeking $10 million per season in his next contract.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Boyd, a second-round pick out of PITT in the 2016 NFL draft, is in the final year of his rookie contract. He had a breakout season in 2018, finishing with 76 catches for 1,028 yards and seven receiving touchdowns in 14 games. The Bengals also have superstar A.J. Green in the final year of his contract. It will be interesting to see how all this shakes out and if they want to (or can?) keep both receivers happy.

NYG - RB Paul Perkins healthy

Source: New York Post - Paul Schwartz

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (pectoral) said he's back to full health after missing last season with a pectoral injury. He impressed the coaching staff with his work in the first two days of organized team activities.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Perkins is most certainly in a make-or-break season in 2019. In the two seasons he has played, the 2016 fifth-round pick has averaged only 3.6 yards per carry. That's got to improve if he wants to win a spot on the depth chart behind Saquon Barkley. Perkins will be competing with guys like Rod Smith and Wayne Gallman for that role.

MIN - WR Jordan Taylor getting first-team reps

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Taylor has been working with the first team in OTAs ahead of WR Laquon Treadwell. Taylor is occupying the place of WR Stefon Diggs, who is not participating.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Taylor has flashed a little bit when he was with the Broncos, but he was also hurt quite a bit. We appreciate him in super deep dynasty formats because of his size/speed combination. Taylor is getting a fresh start with the Vikings this year and must be impressing if he's getting first-team work.

    Saturday Update

OAK - Keelan Doss turning heads

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Josh Schrock

Oakland Raiders WR Keelan Doss has impressed both head coach Jon Gruden and Derek Carrduring offseason practices, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Josh Schrock.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doss was a standout player in college at UC Davis. He went undrafted in 2019 and the Raiders might've gotten a steal here. He's not the fastest or strongest receiver, but Doss wins with savvy in his routes and good hands. We'll monitor him in deep dynasty formats.

LAR - WR Cooper Kupp making steady progress

    Source: TheRams.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (knee) has been mostly limited to doing rehab work on the side with trainers during organized team activities, although he has also been allowed to participate in other aspects of practice - such as the club's jog-thru 11-on-11 periods during the week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Love this news here. Kupp can be such a big part of the Rams high-powered passing attack and the offense can be so dangerous, even more so than normal, with him on the field. He's currently going off the board at WR20 (4.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

MIA - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has early lead in QB derby?

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been 'the best of the quarterbacks' in organized team activities so far, according to an unidentified player who spoke to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald recently. However, Josh Rosen has also reportedly 'played well.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzpatrick is the seasoned veteran with the dad bod...of course he should be the early leader. We also know the wily veteran is wildly inconsistent, so Rosen is going to start at some point this season even if Fitzpatrick wins the starting job in training camp.

OAK - WR Tyrell Williams making impression

Oakland Raiders WR Tyrell Williams has impressed with his speed and route-running so far in OTAs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Williams is an impressive player due to his size/speed combination. All the attention (positive and negative) has been on the Raiders acquisition of Antonio Brown...and for good reason. However, it's unwise to forget about Williams. He was a great get for them in free agency and has big-game upside (but perhaps not consistency) for Fantasy GMs in 2019. Williams has a current ADP of WR51 (11.08) in 12-team PPR leagues.

DAL - Jerry Jones: RB Ezekiel Elliott penalty unlikely

    Source: ESPNDallas.com - Todd Archer

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott is unlikely to face any league discipline over his involvement in a May 19 incident at a Las Vegas music festival, in the opinion of team owner Jerry Jones.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Elliott has what was described as a minor altercation with a security guard at a music festival. We think nothing comes of this latest incident with Elliott and don't think it will negatively impact his ongoing contract negotiations with the Cowboys. Elliott is set to get a contract that makes him the highest paid running back in NFL history.

JAX - Jacksonville counting on RB Leonard Fournette

    Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette is being counted on to have a big season in 2019. 'We're really looking forward to Leonard having a big year,' offensive coordinator John DeFilippo said this week, via the team's official website. 'I'm going to call it what it is: He's going to be a major reason where our offense goes. I'm not going to sugarcoat that. Leonard Fournette needs to be a big part of this offense. The harder he works -- which he is right now -- that's going to be not only good for our offense, but good for our team.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're not sure if counting on Fournette is a wise idea. Sure, he's a talented runner who can produce with the best in the game but that's not the full story. Fournette seems to be a player who is a '100 percenter' meaning that he needs to be at full strength to perform at a high level and not like other players who can grind -- and produce -- while dealing with nagging injuries. Perhaps with Nick Foles at quarterback we see a rejuvenated Fournette and he puts up RB1 numbers...and stays healthy of course.

NE - Limited workload for RB Sony Michel?

Source: Boston Herald - Kevin Duffy

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel didn't participate in the team's OTA workouts Thursday, May 23, and one team beat writer says it's possible that the team is limiting Michel's offseason workload.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team doesn't want Michel to get banged up during the offseason. Michel is their talented runner but the backfield is jam-packed with talent. James White, Rex Burkhead and rookie Damien Harris could all be a big part of the backfield if called upon. Last year, Michel's knee was a problem for most of his rookie season and he only appeared in 13 games as the Pats lead back. Michel is currently RB21 (4.04) in 12-team PPR league drafts right now.

DEN - More on Noah Fant's deal

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant's four-year deal is worth a fully guaranteed $12,590,724.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fant is a rookie tight end in a great situation. He's in a TE-friendly offense under new Broncos OC Rich Scangarello (a Shanahan/Kubiak disciple) and with QB Joe Flacco who is known for targeting his tight ends early and often. Jeff Heuerman is no threat to Fant as a receiver, but the Broncos should have some form of TEBC...or just run 2-TE sets in 2019. We see Fant as an interesting TE2 with upside in his rookie season.

BAL - QB Lamar Jackson struggles with accuracy

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson struggled with his accuracy in organized team activities, and he especially had trouble in the red zone. Jackson showed increased velocity, but several of his passes wobbled through the air. Jackson has impressed with his work in the team's conditioning program this offseason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This report doesn't mean Jackson's a bust or anything like that, but we will be following the clues we get out of Ravens camp this year. His elite athleticism gives Jackson QB1 upside for Fantasy GMs but he has to become more of a threat as a passer or defenses will catch up to his one-dimensional game. The ability as a passer is there, the Ravens just have to find a way to bring it out of their young quarterback. He's currently going off the board at QB21 (13.05) in 12-team PPR leagues.

New England Patriots WR Phillip Dorsett worked with the first-team offense during positional drills in OTAs Thursday, May 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep a close eye on Dorsett's usage in training camp and the preseason. He's always had the speed to get on top of defenses in the blink of an eye, but Dorsett has never played up to his full potential. The Pats kept him around on a one-year deal earlier this offseason and there is buzz that the team feels he can be a No. 2 wide receiver. He's currently going undrafted in 12-team PPR leagues but that would quickly change if Dorsett wins a starting job...stay tuned.

NE - Strong start for N'Keal Harry

    Source: MassLive.com - Andrew Callahan

New England Patriots WR N'Keal Harry worked with the second-team offense but 'looked more polished than expected' during OTAs Thursday, May 23, according to Andrew Callahan of MassLive.com.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Harry is going to look polished as that's a hallmark of his game. He is all about setting up routes to maximize yards after the catch. Harry is ultra-competitive and can win contested catches regularly. Called a 'back shoulder boss' by NFL.com's Lance Zierlein, Harry should be a nice fit for the Patriots passing attack. Harry has a current ADP of WR34 (8.02) in 12-team PPR leagues.

NE - Damien Harris works with receivers

    Source: MassLive.com - Andrew Callahan

New England Patriots RB Damien Harris ran routes with the wide receivers during positional drills in OTAs Thursday, May 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Harris was once thought of as a first-round prospect but fell to the third round of the 2019 NFL draft. He's a solid runner with natural vision and instincts for toting the rock. As a receiver, Harris has always been good at catching dump off passes out of the backfield. We'll see how the Patriots use him going forward in a cramped backfield.

BAL - Antoine Wesley playing well

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens WR Antoine Wesley made 'a handful of nice plays' during OTAs Thursday, May 23, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wesley left Texas Tech early and was an undrafted free agent for the Ravens this year. He's 6'5" 200 pounds and caught 88 passes for 1,410 yards and nine touchdowns last year for the Red Raiders. He fell undrafted because of concerns about his speed and athleticism. Wesley has great hands, concentration and can win passes 'above the rim.' We'll see if he can make the Ravens practice squad or 53-man roster...so keep an eye on him in super deep dynasty leagues.

PHI - TE Dallas Goedert ready for more

    Source: NJ.com - Zack Rosenblatt

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert said his second season in the NFL has been easier than his rookie year. 'Now I can just focus on things I want to get better at rather than learning the playbook,' Goedert said.

We're ready for Goedert to do more too. His landing spot prevented him from having an impact as a rookie in 2018, but the natural talent as a pass-catching weapon is there. Zach Ertz is the top tight end for the Eagles, but we're hoping that Goedert is mixed in a bit more this season. He's a TE2 with upside and potentially a top-10 fantasy tight end if Ertz misses time.

SEA - WR Jaron Brown working with starters

Source: The Tacoma News Tribune - Gregg Bell

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaron Brown has been working with the first-team offense during OTAs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown set a career high with five touchdown catches last year...but he did it on only 14 grabs (for 166 yards). We'll see if Brown can stay with this first-team offense and have a larger role in 2019. Seattle has revamped their WR corps this offseason and moved on from Doug Baldwin. With rookie WRs like D.K. Metcalf and Gary Jennings, Brown might not be able to hang onto that premium spot on the depth chart.

DAL - WR Tavon Austin out for OTAs

    Source: DallasCowboys.com - Nick Eatman

Dallas Cowboys WR Tavon Austin (undisclosed) will not participate in OTAs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Austin will be the return man for the Cowboys this year, and maybe he has a slightly larger role on offense. In 2018, Austin only had eight catches for 140 yards and two receiving touchdowns. He also kicked in another six rushes for 55 yards. Despite the team talking about using him more last year that never materialized. We're actually surprised they brought him back on a one-year deal.

WAS - TE Vernon Davis takes the field

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (concussion) participated in the start of OTAs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis didn't have a great season in 2018. Part of it was injury problems, part of it was quarterback play and the inept Washington offense. He's back now and looking to play significant snaps once again. With Jordan Reed's propensity to get banged up, watch for Davis in deeper leagues. He's a TE2 if (when?) Reed goes down. It was just two seasons ago (2017) that Davis finished the year as the No. 11 fantasy tight end in standard-scoring leagues.

ATL - Marcus Green working on the side

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Kelsey Conway

Atlanta Falcons WR Marcus Green (hamstring) is working on the side with trainers to start OTAs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Green is a speed demon, so this hamstring injury can slow him down and that's why the Falcons are being careful. A sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft, Green can contribute as a receiver or return man. He needs to clean up his routes and do a better job handling tight coverage but man alive can this kid fly. We'll watch him in super deep dynasty formats.

    Sunday Update

NE - QB Tom Brady working out with WRs

Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has been working out with WRs Julian Edelman and N'Keal Harry this offseason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is good news for Harry's short and long term prospects, as chemistry with Brady is the key to creating numbers in this offense with so many option routes. Edelman might lead the league in receptions this year and should be the engine of the pass offense.

DAL - TE Jason Witten still a weapon

Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Clarence E. Hill Jr.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten 'hasn't lost a step' after taking a year off, according to QB Dak Prescott. 'I guess the trick is to take a year off because he's definitely gotten better, stronger and faster,' Prescott said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Witten could be the #2 most targeted receiver for the Cowboys and tap the brakes on second-year receiver Michael Gallup's growth as a fantasy factor. He'll be a fringe TE1 in PPR leagues, but could surprise and overachieve building on a lot of pre-existing chemistry with his quarterback.

ATL - RB Devonta Freeman healthy

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (groin) said he has completely recovered from the groin injury he dealt with last season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Freeman getting through the summer without any new injuries would help make the case for him being a great bargain as his current late 2nd/early 3rd round ADP. He can produce first-round numbers and has lesser competition for touches with Tevin Coleman gone. This is the first piece of information we were looking for to get on that road, but the rest is up to Freeman.

SF - RB Tevin Coleman may receive most touches

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman probably will receive the most touches among the running backs this upcoming season, in the opinion of NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Maiocco is skeptical that Jerick McKinnon can return all the way to form after tearing his ACL in camp last year. Coleman is the most valuable back right now, but his durability record isn't spotless either. The shark move here might be drafting the cheapest back (Matt Breida, currently sidelined by a pectoral tear), and keeping Raheem Mostert (currently recovering from a second procedure on a broken forearm) on waiver wire speed dial.

HOU - RB Taiwan Jones financial details

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Updating previous reports, Houston Texans RB Taiwan Jones' one-year, $1.02 million contract includes a base salary of $930,000 with a $45,000 signing bonus and a $45,000 roster bonus. His salary cap figure is $735,000 and the deal includes an injury waiver.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones was probably signed for his special teams contributions more than his value as a back, but we'll monitor any back on this roster with Lamar Miller and D'Onta Foreman not the most durable or overachieving duo in the league. He also had a short stint at defensive back during his time with the Raiders.

CAR - WR Chris Hogan playing well

    Source: Panthers.com - Bryan Strickland

Carolina Panthers WR Chris Hogan has been 'making plays' down the field during OTAs, according to Bryan Strickland of Panthers.com.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hogan could make Torrey Smith look very overpriced at five million dollars if he impresses enough to win the #3 wide receiver job. He is signed for a fraction of the price at only 1.45 million dollars with a max value of two million.

DEN - WR Courtland Sutton honing his craft

Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton said he has spent the offseason working with retired WR Anquan Boldin to improve his route-running and with trainer Tony Villani to boost his speed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sutton got a big opportunity last year, but frankly looked like a rookie in over his head at times. He'll be a very important player to monitor this summer for growth with a new quarterback and offensive coordinator. DaeSean Hamilton could end up being the better pick in PPR leagues if Sutton doesn't take a big step forward.
