The numbers may not be known to everyone in the NFL, but one thing is certain--Colin Kaepernick received a hefty payday.
Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid's collusion case against the NFL officially came to an end on Friday afternoon. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, and the NFL both put out a statement saying that the matter had officially been resolved. Terms of the agreements were not revealed, and they will not see the light of day due to the confidentiality agreement.
"For the past several months, counsel for Mr. Kaepernick and Mr. Reid have engaged in an ongoing dialogue with representatives of the NFL. As a result of those discussions, the parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances. The resolution of this matter is subject to a confidentiality agreement so there will be no further comment by any party."

That being said, there are multiple figures around the NFL that have a rough estimate of how much money Kaepernick actually received in this settlement. According to Mike Freeman of Bleacher/Report, NFL team officials are speculating that the former 49ers quarterback was paid in the range of $60 to $80 million. He continued to say that it wasn't an official figure, but all of the speculation voiced by the NFL higher-ups agreed on this range.
Following the news that the collusion case had come to an end, the NFL Players Association released a statement, commenting on the latest development.
"Today, we were informed by the NFL of the settlement of the Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reidcollusion cases. We are not privy to the details of the settlement, but support the decision by the players and their counsel. We continuously supported Colin and Eric from the start of their protests, participated with their lawyers throughout their legal proceedings and were prepared to participate in the upcoming trial in pursuit of both truth and justice for what we believe the NFL and its clubs did to them. We are glad that Eric has earned a job and a new contract, and we continue to hope that Colin gets his opportunity as well."
Kaepernick, 31, last played football in 2016. He opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March of 2017, a parting that was inevitable given the expectation the 49ers would have released him had he remained with the team. Kaepernick would have had a base salary of $14.5 million and a cap number of over $19 million for the 2017 season under his last contract.

NFL teams haven't shown much interest in Kaepernick's services since his last days with the 49ers. The Ravens took a look in Kaepernick's direction in the summer of 2017, while Seahawks reportedly kicked the tires in April of 2018, but by and large things have remained mostly quiet in terms of his chances of finding an NFL team.Kaepernick filed a grievance against the NFL in October of 2017, alleging the league colluded to keep him off the field in response to his decision to kneel during the national anthem.
Obviously, the exact amount of Kaepernick's payday will likely never see the light of day, barring someone close to him leaking the information to TMZ or another news outlet. However, it is guaranteed that he received a large amount of cash, especially after refusing to play in the AAF for less than $20 million.

The owners had several meetings (that they thought were secret) where they discussed the Kaepernick issue. Bob McNair basically exposed himself by saying that they all agreed not to even look at Kaepernick. Too much evidence of collusion. The biggest issue was them black balling Eric Reid. No way in hell could they prove that he was not one of the best players in the league. So then why did you not sign him? You might be able to prove Kaep wasn't one of the top 96 QBs in the league but you fukked up by banning Reid as well.

Geragos had a shit ton of evidence against McNair that would have buried the NFL. Kaep showed up at McNair's deposition last March here in Houston wearing a Kunte Kinte shirt.
