    Nick Foles, what to do?

    Let's say you have the final say on what to do with Nick Foles after the playoffs.

    He's in the middle of a funky contract that pretty much says if Foles is on the Eagles roster in February of 2019 he can become a free agent. He has three years left on the contract, total worth of the contract is 5.5 million plus a 600 thousand dollar bonus.

    It's common knowledge that Carson Wentz is the Eagles long term starting QB, as his skill set is better than Foles.
    There's an NFL adage that says the most important position in football is the backup QB, which is what Foles would be for the next 3 years if Philadelphia keeps him.

    5.5 million and the bonus is a ton of money to pay a backup, however the team seems to galvanize around him, they rally around him, witness last years Super Bowl run and this year he's 5 and 1 since taking over for the injured Wentz.

    Make the decision, you have two choices.

    Do you:
    a) keep Foles, pay him the rest of the contract (5.5 million the 600 k for three years)
    or
    b) trade him to some QB needy team like Jacksonville (Bortles is not the answer) right after the playoffs end.

    Unfortunately he's going to be a Neil O'Donnell type signing for a team that thinks they're close, and it'll set them back 3 years.

    He's perfect in Philly but theres a 3 yr $60mm payday out there

With Carson Wentz‘s backup being required to start and finish the season, that became attainable. But Foles went down during the Eagles’ Week 17 win over the Redskins.

    Philly has to trade him . His value is at its peak. Get some assets for him while you can. Wentz is younger and his contract his more helpful going forward.

    Sure Wentz had a good year last year before injury....

    This year not so good...Another injury...Possible one year fluke........

    Where's option c) trade Wentz? If Foles lead the Eagles to b2b Superbowl win they have to name him as a starter no matter how much better and talented Wentz is. Dunno why Eagles fans are so sure about Wentz being their future considering how injury prone he seems to be and also only have one solid season (not full) to back that up.

    Nicky goes to any team that has shitty weapons on offenses he will be shitty unless he has help from the coaches on the other team like the Bears head coach running and short pass offense when everyone and their mother knows the Eagles secondary is horrific. This is how you make a mediocre quarterback look better than he actually is. You get help from the teams other coach in this rigged league.

    No way in hell Wentz gets traded, he is Eagles future and is still on rookie contract. He was #1 pick what, 3 years ago? And when healthy, he has basically lived up to the hype, it's not like he was awful this year coming off an ACL.

    Biggest joke in all of it is the general manager who's missed on all of these picks last few years, including when he drafted that bust of a kicker in 2nd round, got to keep his job.

    Then he informs whoever the next coach is, that they have to live with Jameis Winston as their qb

    Supposedly Arians has a connection with him and if the truth is known they went with Arians because they knew Winston would be a tough sell for other coaches.

    Wentz is damaged goods. He is going to be a head case if he is already not one. Eagles were starving for a super bowl and foles fed the masses. Not only did he win one, but it was against the patriots and the GOAT coach and QB and got revenge for spy gate and even orchestrated the Philly philly which he told Doug to run and not the other way around. What’s left for Wentz to do?
