NFL Player News - Week 14

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

CIN - WR A.J. Green expected to have surgery

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (toe) is expected to undergo surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his toe, according to a source. He is expected to be sidelined for three to four months but should be ready for offseason workouts.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tough way to end the season for Green. Hoping for a full and speedy recovery.

PIT - RB James Conner believed to be OK

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (leg) wasn't believed to have suffered a major injury, and it wasn't to his ankle. The swelling will be somewhat of an indicator.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs can breathe a sigh of relief here. Conner might be limited during the week of practice due to this leg contusion but we're expecting him to play in Week 14 against the Raiders.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen suffers torn plantar fascia

    Source: NFL.com - Austin Knoblauch

Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a ruptured plantar fascia Monday, Dec. 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen has been bothered by foot problems almost all season long. He's done for the year now and the Panthers turn to rookie Ian Thomas to take over at tight end. Thomas is a TE2 with upside for Fantasy GMs in need of help at the position.

KC - RB Charcandrick West returning to KC

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent RB Charcandrick West (Jets) is expected to sign an undisclosed contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in the near future, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chiefs worked out West and free agent C.J. Anderson on Monday but decided to go with the guy who had four years worth of experience with the team. Anderson had a good workout according to reports and is ready if needed. West will compete for snaps as a change-of-pace back behind starter Spencer Ware.

NYG - QB Eli Manning to remain the starter for now

    Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants QB Eli Manning will start again in Week 14 versus the Washington Redskins, according to head coach Pat Shurmur, who added there is a 'good chance' Kyle Lauletta will be his backup again this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants won against the Bears on Sunday but Manning did not play well. The team will one day want to see what Lauletta has but may not make a quarterback change until they are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

NYG - WR Sterling Shepard undergoes CT scan

Source: The Bergen Record - Art Stapleton

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (ribs) said he underwent a CT scan on his injured ribs but it did not show any problems. He said he will have to deal with the pain but expects to be fine.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rib injuries are all about pain tolerance. We should see Shepard limited in practice this week. Shepard is only a deep flex play for Fantasy GMs if he plays in Week 14.

MIA - WR Danny Amendola's status uncertain

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola's (knee) status for the Week 14 game is uncertain at this point, according to head coach Adam Gase.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Amendola wasn't able to practice last week before the Week 13 game against the Bills. We'll see if he can get back to the practice field as the team prepares for a Week 14 game against the Patriots.

NFL - Justice Hill declares for draft

    Source: Twitter

Oklahoma State RB Justice Hill announced Monday, Dec. 3, that he will enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Measuring in at 5'10" 190 pounds, Hill runs with more authority than other backs his size. He has a wicked stiff arm and does a good job of driving his feet when contacted by defenders. Hill missed the final two games for Oklahoma State due to injury, but he ran for 930 yards this season.

NYJ - QB Sam Darnold should start

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (foot) is expected to take over starting duties in Week 14, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Darnold will be back this week after missing a few games. Bowles said Darnold could have played in Week 13 but wanted to make sure he was completely ready after practicing just three times last week.

BAL - QB Lamar Jackson making history

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson's 265 rushing yards are the most by a quarterback in his first three NFL starts in the Super Bowl era, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson is the starter for the Ravens for now, but there has been speculation that Joe Flacco would at least split snaps with Jackson against the Chiefs in Week 14. We'll see if the Ravens actually do that, but it's going to be difficult to go away from Jackson. His rushing ability makes him a QB1 option for Fantasy GMs, provided Baltimore doesn't mess this up with a rotation.

NYG - RB Saquon Barkley feeling OK

Source: The Athletic - Dan Duggan

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (shoulder) told reporters his shoulder feels 'fine' Monday, Dec. 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Barkley has the size and toughness to take a lot of punishment. With 195 carries and 74 receptions so far, Barkley is certainly getting a huge workload. We might see him limited just a bit in practice this week due to this minor shoulder ailment. Barkley is a must-start RB1 for Fantasy GMs in the fantasy playoffs which start this week in most leagues.

HOU - D'Onta Foreman remains in limbo

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') has yet to be activated to the 53-man roster, as head coach Bill O'Brien remains unsure if he will make such a move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foreman is an intriguing prospect the team could ease into action behind starter Lamar Miller. He would give them some more power at the position and could work as a 'closer' late in games when they have the lead. The Texans have until Wednesday to make a decision on the young runner.

    Wednesday Update

PIT - Pittsburgh may use RB committee

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Ed Bouchette

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said using a running-back committee 'is our intention' Tuesday, Dec. 4, in replacing injured starting RB James Conner (ankle).

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The committee is likely to be led by rookie RB Jaylen Samuels. He's an incredibly versatile player who doesn't need to come off the field. Stevan Ridley is the back behind him and he could be a short-yardage or goal-line back for the Steelers.

PIT - RB Jaylen Samuels likely to start

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Ed Bouchette

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Samuels is the front-runner to start in Week 14 after it was announced Tuesday, Dec. 4, that starting RB James Conner (ankle) will be sidelined with an ankle sprain. RBs Stevan Ridley and Trey Edmunds figure to be the backups.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Samuels is a big back with a swift running style and the versatility to line up all over the formation (even outside as a receiver) on offense. He doesn't have to come off the field due to his pass-catching ability but it sounds like the Steelers will use some form of RBBC with Samuels as the lead back.

PIT - RB James Conner to miss Week 14

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner (ankle) will miss Week 14 with a sprained ankle, head coach Mike Tomlin said in a news conference Tuesday, Dec. 4. Conner's injury wasn't a leg contusion as first reported, and the ankle sprain is more significant than first expected.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Conner, the Steelers will first turn to rookie RB Jaylen Samuels. We should see them use a RBBC with Samuels and veteran Stevan Ridley.

NFL - RB Kareem Hunt facing lengthy suspension

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

Free-agent RB Kareem Hunt is being investigated for his role in three off-field incidents as the NFL works toward a final discipline decision for the former Kansas City Chiefs running back, sources said Tuesday, Dec. 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hunt is free to sign with any team but is currently on the Commissioner's Exempt List and is likely to stay there for the rest of the 2018 season. In 2019, Hunt is likely going to miss quite a few games for any team that ends up signing him.

SF - RB Matt Breida ruled out

    Source: 49ers.com - Joe Fann

San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 14 with a sprained ankle.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Breida has been banged up for most of the year and only touched the ball eight times for the 49ers on Sunday. The 49ers will play at home this week against the Broncos with Jeff Wilson as their top back. He's a RB3 or deep flex play for Fantasy GMs in Week 14.

BUF - WR Kelvin Benjamin released

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin was released Tuesday, Dec. 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Benjamin's time with the Bills was lackluster at best. He didn't mesh with rookie QB Josh Allen and seemed to be uninterested in gaining chemistry with the team's franchise quarterback. Benjamin finishes the 2018 with the Bills having caught 23 passes for 354 yards and one touchdown. We don't think a ton of teams will be lining up for a player who hasn't looked good since his rookie season of 2014.

OAK - Oakland takes chance on RB C.J. Anderson

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent RB C.J. Anderson (Panthers) signed an undisclosed deal with the Oakland Raiders Tuesday, Dec. 4, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's an interesting move for Anderson...and for the Raiders. Anderson will now compete with Doug Martin, Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington for playing time. He's a depth move with the ability to emerge as a lead back if the Raiders are tired of their other backs (they all three lost fumbles against the Chiefs on Sunday). Anderson will wear no.35 for the Raiders.

TEN - QB Marcus Mariota upgraded to full

    Source: TitansOnline.com

Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota (hand) participated fully in practice Tuesday, Dec. 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Titans play on Thursday against the Jaguars. Mariota's full participation on Monday is a good sign for his availability in Week 14.

WAS - QB Josh Johnson of interest to Redskins

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous report, free-agent QB Josh Johnson (Raiders) is the quarterback the Washington Redskins hope to sign.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson was the first pick in the recent AAF draft, but he's got plenty of experience in the NFL...including time with Jay Gruden. Washington moves forward with Mark Sanchez and Johnson as their quarterbacks.

    HOU - D'Onta Foreman activated

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') was activated to the active roster from the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, Dec. 4. CB Natrell Jamerson was waived in a corresponding move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Texans had until Wednesday to make a decision on Foreman and they decided to activate him. Foreman will have to compete with Alfred Blue to be the backup to Lamar Miller.

WAS - Two quarterbacks work out for Redskins

Source: CSN Mid-Atlantic - JP Finlay

Free-agent QBs Landry Jones (Steelers) and Ryan Mallett (Ravens) worked out for the Washington Redskins Tuesday, Dec. 4, according to sources. The Redskins will also consider signing free-agent QBs Josh Johnson (Raiders), EJ Manuel (Raiders) or T.J. Yates (Texans), among others.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington is expected to sign Johnson in the near future. When that happens, Johnson will work as the backup behind Mark Sanchez.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen likely going to IR

Source: The Charlotte Observer - Jourdan Rodrigue

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) is expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list this week, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen's foot has been bothering him most of the year and now he's got to shut it down after he suffered a torn right plantar fascia in Week 13. The Panthers move on with rookie Ian Thomas as their top tight end.

WAS - QB Colt McCoy has surgery

    Source: CSNMidAtlantic.com - Tarik El-Bashir

Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy (fibula) underwent surgery on his fractured right fibula Tuesday, Dec. 4. A four-week recovery period is expected.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington moves forward with Mark Sanchez as their starting quarterback. They'll have to go to the waiver wire to add another quarterback to the room. McCoy is under contract with Washington in 2019 but there's no dead money on his deal (and a $3.5 million cap number) so the team might want to see who else is out there to work as a backup.

ATL - QB Matt Ryan's protection concerns Atlanta

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Darin Gantt

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan has been sacked 36 times this season and is on pace for a career-high 48. 'Well, No. 1, I'm concerned about it because if we're not protecting him in the way that we can, then that gets hard,' Falcons coach Dan Quinn said. 'And there (are) some games that the score's out of whack and it turns into a dropback game where there's going to be more chances for a defense to go after him.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Falcons have been having a rough month offensively. It's been four straight games where the Falcons have failed to score 20 points. That needs to change and that means protecting Ryan better first and foremost.

SEA - RB Chris Carson has finger injury

    Source: ESPN.com - Brady Henderson

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (finger) dislocated an index finger that required stitches in Week 13, but head coach Pete Carroll said Carson isn't expected to miss time.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carson had to come out of the game on Sunday and he might be a bit limited in practice this week. Seattle is preparing for a Monday night game against the Vikings in Week 14 and Carson has RB2/flex value for Fantasy GMs.

NFL - Jarrett Stidham to enter draft

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham declared Tuesday, Dec. 4, that he will forego his final year of eligibility and enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stidham was one of the top draft-eligible quarterbacks entering the 2018 college football season but he failed to produce better numbers than he did in 2017. In 12 games, Stidham had 2,421 yards passing with 13 touchdowns and five interceptions. He's athletic enough to keep plays alive with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield.

    Thursday Update

DEN - Emmanuel Sander has torn tendon

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles') suffered a torn Achilles' tendon in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bad news for the Broncos offense here. They'll move forward with Courtland Sutton as their no.1 wide receiver. Fellow rookie DaeSean Hamilton should take over as their no.2 receiver with Tim Patrick working into the mix. Sutton is more of a WR3 or flex with his enlarged role and Hamilton is more of a deep flex play. The Broncos are great running the ball, expect them to lean on the ground game more than ever moving forward.

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky plans to play

Source: NFL Network - Stacey Dales

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) said he feels confident he'll be ready to return to action this week, adding that he just needs to prove himself to head coach Matt Nagy.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trubisky might be limited all week in practice due to this shoulder injury but the early plan is to have him ready for Sunday night's game against the Rams. Monitor his progress during the week and have other plans ready in case the young quarterback suffers a setback.

ATL - QB Matt Ryan has a notable track record vs. GB

    Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan has posted his highest passer rating (106.3) against the Green Bay Packers compared to any other opponent whom he's faced more than three times in his career.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In eight meetings (including playoffs), Ryan has completed 67.4 percent of his passes to go with 2,071 yards, 18 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Ryan draws them in Week 14.

OAK - RB Doug Martin fully practices

    Source: Raiders.com

Oakland Raiders RB Doug Martin (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The news on Martin seems to be better now. The team signed C.J. Anderson on Monday and he'll push for playing time soon enough. The Raiders have a jam-packed backfield, negatively impacting the fantasy value of all players involved.

WAS - RB Adrian Peterson doesn't practice Wednesday

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson is getting some veteran rest on Wednesday. The team needs to lean on him more than ever with their horrific QB situation as Mark Sanchez is set to be their starter going forward.

NYJ - RB Isaiah Crowell does not practice

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (toe) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs aren't falling all over themselves to get Crowell into the lineup. If he does play against the Bills in Week 14, Crowell is only worth considering as a RB3 or flex play.

LAC - RB Melvin Gordon misses practice

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We think Gordon is going to need another game (at least) of rest after injuring his MCL in Week 12. Without Gordon, the Chargers should turn to Justin Jackson as a runner and Austin Ekeler as a receiving option out of the backfield.

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky fully practices

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trubisky swears that he'll be ready to return in Week 14. The Bears face the Rams on Sunday and Trubisky is a QB1 for Fantasy GMs.

DEN - WR Courtland Sutton practices in full

    Source: DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton (ankle) went through a full practice on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's now all on Sutton in the Broncos passing game. The team traded away Demaryius Thomas (Texans) earlier this year to get Sutton more playing time. He did have a breakout game against the Bengals last week (four catches, 85 yards, 1 touchdown) and Fantasy GMs are hoping that can continue. Sutton is now the no.1 WR for Denver as Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles') was lost or the season on Wednesday.

HOU - D'Onta Foreman practices in full

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foreman is back this week after being designated to return but there's no guarantee he'll be active for the game in Week 14. When he's back and not a healthy scratch on gameday, Foreman will push Alfred Blue for backup touches behind Lamar Miller.

HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins limited

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It would be a shock if Hopkins wasn't limited. He's a WR1 for Fantasy GMs and a must start every week.

DET - RB Kerryon Johnson unable to practice

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) did not practice on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Johnson is going to miss another game. That means LeGarrette Blount will be the lead ball carrier with Theo Riddick mixing in as the pass-catching back.

DET - WR Kenny Golladay does limited practice

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (quadriceps) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Golladay is getting a huge workload so the Lions are just getting him a bit of rest. Against the Cardinals in Week 14, Golladay is a WR2 with upside for Fantasy GMs in PPR leagues.

IND - TE Eric Ebron does not practice

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (back, illness) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Colts are getting Ebron a bit of extra rest here. He was listed with these injuries last week and we think he's going to be available in Week 14. Ebron is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs in all leagues.

NFL - WR Kelvin Benjamin not claimed

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent WR Kelvin Benjamin (Bills) went unclaimed off waivers Wednesday, Dec. 5, and is officially a free agent.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Benjamin is now free to sign with any team. He was on the books for $8.4 million this year and no team wanted to take on that salary. Benjamin is likely to find a new home rather quickly but it will be for an incredibly reduced price tag.

PHI - RB Josh Adams puts in limited practice

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Josh Adams (shoulder) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Adams has been banged up over the last week or so, previously dealing with a hip injury. He should be good to go in Week 14 against the Cowboys and makes a RB2 or flex option for Fantasy GMs.

KC - WR Sammy Watkins limited in practice

    Source: KCChiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (foot) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins has only played in 10 games so far this year. He's on track to get back this week but might need a full practice before the team clears him to play.

BAL - QB Joe Flacco limited by right hip

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There is speculation that Flacco would split reps with Lamar Jackson in a game if both are healthy. We'll have to see if Flacco can keep getting in reps as the week of practice goes on.

NO - WR Michael Thomas not practicing

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's Wednesday so Thomas missing playing time is not too alarming. He might be getting some extra rest for this banged up ankle. We expect Thomas to be ready to go in Week 14 against the Buccaneers.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson absent from practice

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) was held out of practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Other reports indicated that Jackson did practice but did not catch any passes. Either way, Jackson could get shut down for the year with this thumb injury.

ATL - WR Julio Jones misses practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) was not able to practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's Wednesday so Jones gets his standard day of rest. The Falcons offense has been struggling for a month but Jones is the type of player we're going to start every week he's healthy. On the road against the Packers in Week 14, Jones is a WR1 as per usual.

DEN - Denver claims WR Andre Holmes

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

The Denver Broncos claimed WR Andre Holmes off waivers from the Buffalo Bills Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Holmes was with the Raiders when Broncos OC Bill Musgrave was there running the offense. He's a big, fast player and should be familiar with the offense. With Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles') down with an injury, the Broncos had to make a move to add depth to the position.

OAK - WR Martavis Bryant goes to IR

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Oakland Raiders WR Martavis Bryant (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant has not played since Week 10 due to this PCL injury. He was added to the Raiders via trade (third-round pick) with the Steelers earlier this year. Bryant finishes the season with 19 catches for 266 yards. He's set to be a free agent in 2019.

BAL - Gus Edwards expects to play

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards (ankle) said he's been keeping up with treatment on his ankle and believes he'll be able to take the field in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edwards was dealing with this ankle problem last week in practice. He may be limited during the week of practice but should play in Week 14. With Edwards banged up a little bit, we might see more from Kenneth Dixon.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen to IR

    Source: Panthers.com - Max Henson

Updating previous reports, Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Dec. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen's foot injury had been bothering him all year. Olsen now finishes the 2018 season with 27 catches for 291 yards and four touchdowns. The Panthers move forward with rookie Ian Thomas as their top tight end.

WAS - QB Colt McCoy won't go on IR

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins QB Colt McCoy (fibula) will not be placed on the Reserve/Injured list in the hope that he can return at the end of the season or possibly the playoffs should the team qualify.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington moves on with Mark Sanchez as their starter...that's why they're hoping that McCoy can come back. Josh Johnson was just signed to be the second-string quarterback behind Sanchez.

    Friday Update

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky has coach's confidence

    Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Dickerson

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) has impressed head coach Matt Nagy this week in practice. 'I said (Wednesday, Dec. 5) that I felt strongly (Trubisky would play in Week 14),' Nagy said Thursday, Dec. 6. 'The way he threw at practice yesterday did nothing to change my mind.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It appears Trubisky is ready to return this week. He'll be a boom/bust QB1 in a potentially high-scoring game against a tricky Rams defense.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski fully practices

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 6, and has been removed from the injury report for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This does give some reassurance about Gronkowski's status for Week 14, but he is still only a low ceiling TE1 in a fully-stocked Patriots offense.

CIN - RB Joe Mixon practices Thursday

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon (foot) participated in practice for a second straight day Thursday, Dec. 6. He was limited the previous day with a foot injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mixon is still a safe RB2 this week, but his ceiling is a lot lower in the Jeff Driskel offense than the Andy Dalton offense.

ATL - Idle WR Julio Jones expected for Week 14

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - D. Orlando Ledbetter

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) sat out a second straight practice Thursday, Dec. 6, with a foot injury, but head coach Dan Quinn said he expects Jones to play in Week 14 vs. the Green Bay Packers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is an automatic play as long as he's active, but if he doesn't practice tomorrow, then we'll have to check back Sunday morning before trusting him in Week 14 lineups.

WAS - QB Alex Smith battling post-op infection

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Washington Redskins QB Alex Smith (leg) is battling an infection related to the surgery he had on his broken fibula and tibia, according to sources. The situation is being treated seriously.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith's playing career is in question. We're wishing him a full recovery as football isn't the most important thing for him right now.

LAC - Coach mum on RB Melvin Gordon

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon's (knee) availability is one thing head coach Anthony Lynn was mum on Thursday, Dec. 6. 'You never know... You just want everybody preparing for everybody,' Lynn said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon isn't going to play this week and his lack of practice makes a Thursday game next week against the Chiefs a bit of a stretch. We won't see him until Week 16 at the earliest.

GB - TE Jimmy Graham a limited participant

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Green Bay Packers TE Jimmy Graham (knee, thumb) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Graham's involvement in the offense hasn't really changed since he broke his thumb, but he is at least still involved. He's a low ceiling TE1 this week.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs limited in Thursday 's practice

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) was limited at practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is an improvement from last week's practice plan, so it looks like we aren't going to have to sweat a game-time decision from Diggs on Monday night.

ATL - WR Calvin Ridley limited again Thursday

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (elbow, hand) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Packers have given up some big plays to #2 receivers this year, but Ridley might not be 100%. He's in the WR3/Flex mix this week but it would be great to see him get a full practice in tomorrow.

HOU - D'Onta Foreman practices Thursday

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foreman won't be ready to play this week and Lamar Miller has been playing too well to take off of the field, but seeing him play even a few snaps would be great for Foreman's dynasty stock.

KC - WR Sammy Watkins remains limited

    Source: Chiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins probably won't return this week and we want to see him get in a full practice before trusting him in our lineups. It's possible the team is ramping him up to be ready for a showdown with the Chargers on Thursday.

NYG - TE Evan Engram takes part in practice

    Source: Giants.com

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Engram will be back this week to face Washington. He's a low ceiling TE1 with some risk after this injury happened in warmups two weeks ago.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson sits again

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Chris Godwin and Adam Humphries are stronger plays with Jackson out. As long as the weather isn't too bad, they'll both be solid WR3/Flex options against the Saints.

MIA - WR DeVante Parker limited

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker should see a lot of Stephon Gilmore on Sunday and the Dolphins might get Danny Amendola back too. He's just a desperation play.

DET - WR Kenny Golladay, WR Bruce Ellington limited

Source: Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Detroit Lions WRs Kenny Golladay (quadriceps) and Bruce Ellington (back) remained limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Both look on track to play, but if they don't get a full practice in tomorrow and draw a questionable tag, that could be a problem for lineup setting with an afternoon start at Arizona. We'll be watching this closely.

MIA - RB Kenyan Drake a limited participant

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Drake has been playing well through this shoulder injury, so consider playing him as a flex play against a Patriots defense that he had a great game against in Miami last year.

PHI - RB Josh Adams logs full practice

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Josh Adams (shoulder) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Adams is a good bet for 15-20 carries against Dallas, which is deserving of a flex start, or even an RB2 nod if you are in a bind.

CLE - TE David Njoku listed as limited

Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Njoku is not 100% but he is still a viable streamer with the matchup against the struggling Panthers defense and improved quality of the Browns offense under Freddie Kitchens.

NO - WR Michael Thomas back on the field

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) was participating during the media access portion of practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas is safe for Week 14, although he and the Saints might have to deal with some rain and wind on Sunday. Check the weather on Sunday morning for a better read on the passing game outlook.

NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa a full participant

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Enunwa could get targets against the Bills by default, but he's nothing but a desperation play with the Jets offense struggling to get out of neutral gear these days.

NYJ - WR Robby Anderson limited Thursday

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson is likely to see a lot of Tre'Davious White anyway, so he wasn't on our what the heck flex radar this week.

IND - TE Eric Ebron out sick

Source: The Herald Bulletin - George Bremer

Indianapolis Colts TE Eric Ebron (illness) missed his second straight day of practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ebron has been fine after missing practices earlier this year, so don't fret unless he can't go tomorrow. His upside is significant so as long as he's active, he's in our lineups.

NYJ - RB Isaiah Crowell's toe injury concerning

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (toe) remained out of practice Thursday, Dec. 6, with a toe injury. Head coach Todd Bowles said the injury is a 'concern,' and Crowell's Week 14 status likely will come down to a game-time decision Sunday.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Elijah McGuire would be the top Jets back if Crowell can't go and rookie Trenton Cannon would also mix in, but this offense is no place to look for fantasy points, especially against the Bills this week.

DET - RB Kerryon Johnson not practicing

Source: The Detroit News - Justin Rogers

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) remained idle from practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

LeGarrette Blount is likely to get the start again this week. He has some flex appeal in deeper leagues with guaranteed touches against a weak run defense in what should be a close game.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton sits again Thursday

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) missed a second straight practice Thursday, Dec. 6, with a foot injury. Hilton, though, gave the impression when speaking to the media that he expects to play in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton has a great history against the Texans with Andrew Luck, so if he can't go in Week 14 this week be a huge missed opportunity. Chances are this is just rest heading into a key matchup, but we'll have to monitor practice tomorrow and perhaps his status Sunday morning to be sure.

BAL - QB Joe Flacco moving better

    Source: WNST.net - Luke Jones

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was practicing again Thursday, Dec. 6, and appeared to be moving around noticeably better than the previous week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens will stick with Lamar Jackson as long as they keep winning, but this is a sign that Flacco is close to ready to return if they need him.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders faces lengthy recovery

Source: The Denver Post - Kyle Fredrickson

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles') has a long road ahead of him in his recovery from a torn Achilles' tendon. Former NFL team doctor David Chao said the earlier expected recover time is six months for this injury, but players aren't always at full health that soon. A more realistic recover time is between nine months to a year, according to Chao.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders dynasty stock took a big hit with this injury. The Broncos were very prudent when they drafted two wide receivers this year.

KC - WR Kelvin Benjamin visits Chiefs

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent WR Kelvin Benjamin (Bills) visited the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday, Dec. 6, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Benjamin needs to have a different approach to the game to tap into his considerable physical potential. Maybe Andy Reid could figure out how to flip that switch, but we'll believe it when we see it.

DEN - WR DaeSean Hamilton taking over in slot

Source: The Denver Post - Kyle Fredrickson

Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton will be featured in the slot going forward with the loss of WR Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles'). WR River Cracraft is also expected to see time in the slot position.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hamilton has some desperation play possibilities, but the reality is that the Broncos are likely to throw the ball 25 or fewer times at San Francisco. It will be great to get some evaluation tape for dynasty leaguers mulling over Hamilton's potential for the future.

CAR - No practice throws for QB Cam Newton

Source: The Athletic - Joe Person

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) did not throw in practice Thursday, Dec. 6, for the second straight day but took part in team drills during the early potion of practice.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Newton's going to play this weekend, but he didn't look like himself last week, and his injury could affect his throws and ability to take contact as a runner. He's not a strong QB1 this week at Cleveland.

MIA - WR Danny Amendola on track to return

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (knee) was practicing again Thursday, Dec. 6, and is on track to play in Week 14 against the New England Patriots.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Amendola is still only a desperation play against his old team, and only in PPR leagues. He was much better with Brock Osweiler than he was with Ryan Tannehill earlier this year.

I only got 6.10 out of Fournette. Not really feeling confident without Melvin Gordon this week but maybe the rest of my team goes ham and I manage to advance.

    Saturday Update

ATL - WR Julio Jones cleared to play Week 14

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Will McFadden

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (foot) will play in Week 14 versus the Green Bay Packers despite missing practice time this week with a foot injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones seems to go through this practice and injury report dance every year but often puts up big games when it appears that he is ailing. He's still a strong WR1 play this week.

DET - RB Kerryon Johnson likely to miss another game

    Source: MLive.com - Kyle Meinke

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) remained out of practice Friday, Dec. 7, as he recovers from a knee injury and is expected to be ruled out of Week 14 when the team issues its game designations later Friday.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson doesn't seem close to a return but it doesn't sound like shut down at some point despite the Lions clearly being out of the running for the playoffs. LeGarrette Blount is a flex option this week against the weak Cardinals run defense.

CIN - RB Joe Mixon looking good to go

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Fletcher Page

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon (foot) looked good in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and is expected to play in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mixon is a low ceiling RB2 this week against the Chargers with the Jeff Driskel Bengals offering much less in terms of sustained drives and points than the Andy Dalton Bengals.

BAL - QB Joe Flacco likely to be active in Week 14

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco (hip) was a full participant in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and there's a solid chance he'll be cleared to play in Week 14. Asked if he could back up Lamar Jackson on Sunday, head coach John Harbaugh told reporters: ' Yeah, there's a scenario for that, sure.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Flacco could start to threaten Jackson's playing time next week if the rookie struggles at Kansas City this week, but this is probably nothing to worry about if you are considering Jackson this week unless he absolutely craters in the first half of the game.

CAR - QB Cam Newton not on injury report

Source: The Athletic - Joe Person

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) participated fully in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and does not appear on the team's Week 14 injury report.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

While Newton won't be on the injury report it appeared that the injury affected his downfield accuracy last week. He's still a boom/bust QB1 with a big boom because of the matchup and his running ability. This is about as reassuring of news as we could have hoped for after more cautionary items earlier this week.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson unlikely to play Week 14

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson (thumb) has yet to practice this week and isn't expected to play in Week 14 versus the New Orleans Saints.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Adam Humphries and Chris Godwin once again become solid WR3/Flex options with WR2 or even low WR1 upside in PPR leagues.

KC - WR Sammy Watkins aggravates foot injury Thursday

Source: 610 Sports - Carrington Harrison

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (foot) reinjured his foot in practice Thursday, Dec. 6. According to a source, Watkins had an MRI and the injury is expected to be 'significant.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins is out until the playoffs and we might not even see him them. Another surgery could be on the horizon considering his long history of foot problems.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton back at practice

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) returned to practice Friday, Dec. 7, after missing the previous two days with a shoulder injury. He is expected to play in Week 14 versus the Houston Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton is officially questionable and a game-time decision. He's impossible to bench if active with his illustrious history in Houston, but this development makes him much riskier in DFS lineups.

SEA - WR Doug Baldwin sits again

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Baldwin has been missing practices with a variety of ailments this year, but he has been playing near or at healthy form despite the absences. He's still only a low floor/low ceiling WR3/Flex but he should get one of the better matchups in the Vikings secondary on Monday.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs listed as limited

    Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 7.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs is doing better than last week when he missed two practices before returning on Friday, so we shouldn't have to sweat a game time decision for him on Monday night.

DET - WR Kenny Golladay ready to play

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (quadriceps) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Golladay's limited status earlier this week raised some eyebrows, but it sounds like he will be ready to go on Sunday. He will see Patrick Peterson often when he's lined up outside, but he should also get a fair amount of snaps from the slot.

HOU - D'Onta Foreman not on injury report

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foreman isn't going to take a lot of work away from Lamar Miller at this point, but it's a good sign for his recovery that he's back on the field, and hopefully we'll get to see him take a few touches before the end of the season to evaluate how close to his pre-injury self he is, as there's no good case of a running back getting all the way back from an achilles injury.

WAS - WR Josh Doctson questionable for Week 14

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (hip) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 7 and he is listed as questionable for Week 14 against the New York Giants.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doctson's value took a huge hit when Colt McCoy went out. Add in a new injury issue and he shouldn't be a consideration in Week 14.

WAS - WR Jamison Crowder ready for Week 14

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (ankle) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 7 and he is off the injury report ahead of the Week 14 game against the New York Giants.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder could have some value in deep PPR leagues. He showed some chemistry with Mark Sanchez on one drive in last week's loss to the Eagles and could be a frequent target against the Giants.

MIA - Questionable tag for WR Danny Amendola

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 7, and is listed as questionable for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Amendola can return it will help Ryan Tannehill. He's only a very deep PPR desperation play and Tannehill is only a very low-end QB2/Superflex this week.

ATL - WR Calvin Ridley on track to play

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Will McFadden

Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (elbow, hand) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 7, but is not on the injury report for Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is great news as Ridley is facing a Packers secondary that has given up some big games to non #1 receivers this year. Consider Ridley an upside WR3/Flex play.

IND - Indianapolis makes three moves

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts WR Daurice Fountain was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Friday, Dec. 7. TE Clive Walford was waived in a corresponding move. The Colts also signed QB Phillip Walker back to the practice squad.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This move is probably more about Dontrelle Inman being out than TY Hilton being a game-time decision. Fountain was actually drafted ahead of camp star Deon Cain and was getting praise for his work on the practice squad. He's worth monitoring in deep dynasty leagues.

NYG - TE Evan Engram set to return

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants TE Evan Engram (hamstring) practiced fully Friday, Dec. 7, for the second straight day and does not appear on the team's Week 14 injury report. 'Yeah, I'm ready to ride,' Engram said. 'Had a good week.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Engram is a low ceiling TE1 this week against Washington, but there is always risk of reinjury in the first week back from a hamstring issue. Rhett Ellison goes back to the waiver wire.

ATL - Atlanta optimistic about RB Devonta Freeman

Source: The Athletic - Jason Butt

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (groin) has yet to be ruled out this season and still has 'a shot' to play at some point, according to head coach Dan Quinn.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Don't rush to get Freeman in redraft leagues. Week 16 is probably the earliest he would return and the team is unlikely to give him a huge workload in his first game back with playoff contention not a consideration.

    Sunday Update

NYG - WR Odell Beckham will not play in Week 14

    Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quadriceps) did not travel with the team for their Week 14 game and has been ruled out.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is massive news for Week 14 matchups and Beckham is getting further tests which could reveal a problem that affects his availability for the rest of the season. Sterling Shepard gets a bump to WR3/FLex value and Evan Engram becomes a better tight end play, but Eli Manning takes a hit as a QB2/Superflex option.

    IND - WR T.Y. Hilton a game-time decision

    Source: NFL.com - Herbie Teope

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (shoulder) will be a game-time decision for Week 14's game against the Houston Texans, according to head coach Frank Reich.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hilton should be able to play and his ceiling too high to leave on your bench considering the string of big games he has put together in Houston. He's a riskier DFS play and his shoulder injury could become a problem during the game.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs limited Saturday

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) was limited in practice Saturday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs has been able to get in a limited practice all three days this week, which is an improvement from last week. He's a safe strong WR2 play against Seattle this week.

SEA - RB Chris Carson has full practice

    Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle

Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson (finger) participated fully in practice Saturday, Dec. 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carson is a solid flex and low-end RB2, especially in nonPPR leagues, but Rashaad Penny could also play a larger role this week and take the edge off of Carson's upside in a tough matchup against the Vikings.

SEA - WR Doug Baldwin questionable

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) did not practice Saturday, Dec. 8, and is a game-time decision for Week 14, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carroll's comments were not encouraging. If you have David Moore, Jaron Brown, or Aldrick Robinson, you might be able to risk Baldwin being inactive, but if you don't have a Monday night hedge, it's probably better to bench him.

CIN - WR Tyler Boyd interested in contract extension

Source: The Athletic - Jay Morrison

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd said he would be open to signing a contract extension during the offseason, as opposed to waiting to test the free agency waters after his rookie deal expires following the 2019 season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bengals have made a lot of prudent moves extending their own before free agency, so this would match their frugal way of doing business. AJ Green is a free agent in 2020, so Boyd could be the #1 again in two years if he stays in Cincinnati.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles unlikely to return in 2019

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles is expected to be released following the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bortles should catch on elsewhere as a backup. The Jaguars were able to open up cap room by signing him to an extension last year, but they will carry 16.5 million in dead cap next year as they guaranteed part of his 2019 salary and spread out the 15 million dollar signing bonus hit over the duration of the three-year contract.

DEN - WR Courtland Sutton set for big outing?

    Source: ESPN.com

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton faces the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14, and the 49ers have allowed a league-high 19 touchdown receptions to wide receivers this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sutton should get more targets with Emmanuel Sanders out, but he could also see a lot of Richard Sherman and more attention from the 49ers secondary in general. He's a boom/bust WR3/Flex this week.

DET - Touchdowns on tap for RB LeGarrette Blount?

    Source: ESPN.com

Detroit Lions RB LeGarrette Blount faces the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, and the Cardinals have allowed a league-high 15 rushing touchdowns to running backs this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Blount has been running with power and renewed burst over the last two weeks. He's a flex play or emergency RB2 this week.

CLE - TE David Njoku poised to find end zone?

    Source: ESPN.com

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku faces the Carolina Panthers in Week 14, and the Panthers have allowed a league-high nine touchdown receptions to tight ends this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Njoku is as good a streamer as any this week with the matchup and Baker Mayfield throwing the ball as well as any rookie quarterback.

LAC - Teammates confident in RB Justin Jackson

    Source: Chargers.com - Ricky Henne

Los Angeles Chargers RB Justin Jackson didn't surprise his teammates with his performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13, according to QB Philip Rivers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson's snap and touch count are sure to go up this week. He's worth a flex look and could even outproduce Austin Ekeler if the Chargers jump out to a big lead.

TB - WR Mike Evans poised for big game?

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans faces the New Orleans Saints in Week 14, and Evans caught seven passes for 147 yards and a touchdown against the Saints in Week 1, catching four passes for 115 yards and a touchdown when covered by CB Marshon Lattimore.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans is still a strong WR2 at worst even though he was quieted by James Bradberry again last week and faces a tough matchup on paper.

IND - RB Marlon Mack finally healthy

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack said he is healthier than he has been all season entering a Week 14 matchup with the Houston Texans.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Colts running game has gotten bogged down lately and Houston has been a tough run defense all year. Mack is still only a flex play.

Sure wish I had him for my week 14 playoff matchup but it might not have mattered as the rest of my team shit the bed. Hopefully he comes back next week because I'll need him in my other work league where I still have a shot to win and would have an even better shot if he played.

    Monday Update

WAS - WR Jamison Crowder hauls in long TD

    Source: ESPN.com

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder finished with two catches on seven targets for 87 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown, in a 40-16 loss to the New York Giants in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder's long catch and run score came after the Giants defense seemed to mail it in because they build a big lead. He's still not a good play at Jacksonville next week.

WAS - RB Adrian Peterson shut down in loss

    Source: ESPN.com

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson rushed 10 times for 16 yards and caught one pass for three yards in a 40-16 loss to the New York Giants in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Washington offense is flatlining heading into a matchup with Jacksonville. It is impossible to want to rely on any part of this offense in that matchup, including Peterson.

NYG - RB Saquon Barkley gashes Washington

    Source: ESPN.com

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley rushed 14 times for 170 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 27 yards in a 40-16 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Washington held Barkley down in the first matchup, but did no such thing in this one. In addition to a long score, Barkley almost had a second and could have had a bigger game if Eli Manning wasn't so good at finishing drives with passes in this one.

NYG - Three scores for QB Eli Manning

    Source: ESPN.com

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 14 of his 22 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-16 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Everything came easy for the Giants in this game, but it was so easy that Manning's attempts stayed low and ceiling was low with that number. Even without Odell Beckham, Manning was a plus for anyone that used him as a QB2/Superflex. If Beckham can play, we'll consider him in that role next week against the Titans.

TB - TE Cameron Brate scores two times

    Source: 1 No Source

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cameron Brate had just two catches for 12 yards in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints, but both were good for touchdowns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Winston to Brate has been money in the red zone at times before and it was again today. Winston played poorly in the second half, so we still don't have a great feeling about Brate against the Ravens next week.

NO - WR Michael Thomas just misses triple digits

    Source: 1 No Source

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas registered 11 receptions for 98 yards on 13 targets in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thomas had been held down in recent weeks, but came through in PPR leagues as a frequent target for Drew Brees on an afternoon when not much came easy for the Saints offense.

NO - QB Drew Brees totals two touchdowns

    Source: 1 No Source

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees completed 24-of-31 passes for 201 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 14 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he ran for a score.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brees came up small yet again in an outdoor game even though the conditions were fine by game time. He'll have another divisional matchup against a vulnerable defense on the road next week at Carolina. He might be tough to trust if you survived this result.

GB - RB Aaron Jones totals 106 yards, TD

    Source: 1 No Source

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones rushed 17 times for 78 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons and he added three grabs for 28 yards on his three targets. He has at least one rushing score in five straight outings.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones actually didn't start for some reason, but he still came through for fantasy teams. He'll have a tough matchup next week at Chicago but will still be in lineups as an RB2.

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers plays mistake-free again

    Source: 1500ESPN.com - Judd Zulgad

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed 21-of-32 passes for 196 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons. During the game he set an NFL record with 359 consecutive attempts without any interception.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers made great throws on his touchdowns, but wasn't able to put together a huge game against a terrible Atlanta defense. He's probably benchable at Chicago next week unless you don't have another QB1 option.

BUF - Robert Foster a big factor in Week 14

    Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills WR Robert Foster caught seven passes for 104 yards against the New York Jets in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Foster has been a big play receiver for the Bills lately, and today he was a volume receiver for Josh Allen. He'll be a boom/bust WR3/Flex against the Lions next week.

BUF - QB Josh Allen posts over 300 total yards

    Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen went 18-for-36 for 206 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions against the New York Jets in Week 14. He also rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on nine carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen got about half of his fantasy points on the first drive and then did as much for the Jets as he did for his Bills in this game. He made a few regrettable throws, but was still allowed to roam as a runner. He'll be a boom/bust QB1 against the Lions next week.

ATL - WR Julio Jones has huge afternoon

    Source: 1 No Source

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones racked up eight receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns on 11 targets in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers. It was his first multi-score game since Nov. 26, 2017 against Tampa Bay.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones had one score at the beginning of the game and one when the game was out of hand. He may see a lot of Patrick Peterson next week against Arizona but has to be in lineups.

NYJ - RB Elijah McGuire reaches end zone

    Source: NFL.com

New York Jets RB Elijah McGuire rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14. He also caught three passes for 23 yards during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McGuire relieved an injured Isaiah Crowell and was able to put together a solid game despite being stopped for short or no gain on most of his runs. He'll be a what the heck flex against the Jets next week if Crowell can't go.

CLE - QB Baker Mayfield throws for 238 yards

    Source: 1 No Source

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 18-of-22 passes for 238 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 14 win against the Carolina Panthers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mayfield wasn't a strong fantasy play, but he played very well and Cleveland fans have to be happy with what he has done. He'll be a QB2/Flex consideration against Denver next week.

MIA - WR Kenny Stills has monster game

    Source: NFL.com

Miami Dolphins WR Kenny Stills caught eight passes for 135 yards and one touchdown against the New England Patriots in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stills joined Rob Gronkowski and Jarvis Landry on the you picked a nice time to show up for fantasy teams that missed the playoffs in part because of their disappointing seasons. He'll be a boom/bust WR3/Flex against the Vikings next week with the memory this game fresh in our minds.

NE - Nine receptions for WR Julian Edelman

    Source: NFL.com

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman caught nine passes for 86 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman helped keep the chains moving and performed a bigger role in the offense than he has been since Rob Gronkowski came back after the bye. He'll be a solid WR2 against the Steelers next week.

CAR - TE Ian Thomas plays well in road loss

    Source: 1 No Source

Carolina Panthers TE Ian Thomas posted a game highs with nine receptions and 11 targets in the Week 14 road loss against the Cleveland Browns, finishing with 77 yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cam Newton's compromised shoulder made it more difficult for him to throw downfield, so just like after Greg Olsen left last week, the rookie tight end was a frequent target. He'll be worth a playoff streamer start against the Saints defense that gave up two scores to Cameron Brate today.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski surpasses 100-yard mark

    Source: NFL.com

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski caught eight passes for 107 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gronkowski looked as good as he has since Week 1. Any teams that are still alive with Gronkowski will likely start him against the Steelers next week.

CAR - QB Cam Newton does little in road loss

    Source: 1 No Source

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton completed 26-of-42 passes for 265 yards, no touchdowns and an interception with 23 rushing yards in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Christian McCaffrey got the offensive touchdowns on the ground, and Newton wasn't able to consistently push the ball down the field. He didn't help fantasy teams and hasn't helped the Panthers during their five-game losing streak. He's not an automatic start and maybe not a QB1 against the Saints on Monday.

Nothing like sitting on a 15 point lead and Cohen to go and your opponent only has Amari Cooper and some other scrub left entering the 4th quarter.

What happens next....I lose by 20 points.
