In depth analysis faclons vs browns and saints vs bengals **trap games??

The Atlanta Falcons are coming off their first road win of the season after upsetting the Washington Redskins 38-14 last week. Now they will try to build on that performance with another road trip against an opponent they should be able to beat. The Falcons will be a four-point favorite when they visit the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The Browns are 2-6-1 but they have been a lot more competitive than they had been the previous two seasons and that will continue with interim coach Gregg Williams looking to light a fire under his players. Here is a closer look at the matchup.
NFL Point Spread and Betting Analysis

Atlanta is 4-4 straight up and 3-5 against the spread so far this season. The Falcons have struggled on the road and in inter-conference games so it will be interesting to see if they can get the job done on the road. Atlanta is 0-8 against the spread in its last eight games against AFC opponents and they are just 1-7 straight up in those contests.
Meanwhile, the Browns have actually been better than expected this season with a 5-4 record against the spread. Cleveland is just 1-13 straight up and 3-11 ATS in its last 14games against NFC opponents. The Browns are 0-4 on the road this season but 2-2-1 at home.
    Atlanta Falcons

The key to success for the Falcons last week was the production they received on the ground from running backs Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith. That tandem combined for 148 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. In order to be better on the road, Atlanta needs Coleman and Smith to perform at a high level with Devonta Freeman injured.
Matt Ryan continued his impressive season with 350 passing yards and four touchdowns against the Redskins. Ryan has completed 70.8-percent of his passes while throwing for 19 touchdowns compared to three interceptions this season. The Falcons rely heavily on their offence to lead the way but the defence held Washington to 14 points with an excellent performance last week. If the Atlanta defence steps up again, they will be tough to beat on the road this Sunday.
    Cleveland Browns

The Browns did everything they could to keep up with the Kansas City Chiefs in a 37-21 loss last week. Baker Mayfield threw for 297 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. He also had an interception and was sacked twice. Management has to be impressed with what they have seen from Mayfield so far this season. Now they need to continue to give him more support. That was the case last week with running back Nick Chubb rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Cleveland’s defence has allowed an average of 27.4 points per game so it will be on the offence to play keep up in this game. The Falcons have too many weapons for the Browns to win this game outright. While they might keep this game close for a while, Cleveland will have a tough time covering against a desperate Atlanta side that is finally starting to play to its potential.

    PREDICTION

    FALCONS 35- BROWNS 21

    New Orleans Saints

The Saints are rolling following back-to-back victories over their toughest opponents in the NFC. New Orleans will attempt to keep the gas pedal to the floor on the road in a contest that could easily be viewed as a trap game. The Saints lead the NFL with an average of 34.9 points per game this season. With a healthy Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram leading the way on the ground and Drew Brees spreading the ball around through the air, this offence is tough to stop.
The New Orleans defence has also shown promising signs with an improved effort to force turnovers and get the ball back for their offence. There are reports that the Saints could be close to bolstering their wide receiver core with the addition of free agent Dez Bryant. With or without another weapon on this roster, New Orleans should be able to take care of business on the road this week.
    Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are coming off a 37-34 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that ended up being a lot closer than it probably should have been. Cincinnati jumped out to a 27-9 lead at halftime but was outscored 25-10 the rest of the way and nearly lost the game. All eyes will be on the Bengals offence this week with A.J. Green set to miss at least two games with a toe injury. Green won’t need surgery yet but the fact that Cincinnati won’t have him this week is a major issue. The Bengals have received some quality production from players like Tyler Boyd, C.J. Uzomah putting up decent numbers. Both of those players will be pressed in to bigger roles with Green out.
The pressure will be on running back Joe Mixon to run the football efficiently and keep the football away from Brees. The Cincinnati defence has allowed an average of 29.6 points per game and it won’t get any easier for them this week versus the Saints high flying attack. The pressure is on Andy Dalton and the Bengals offence to keep up but that’s not likely to happen when these teams meet in Week 10.

    PREDICTION

    SAINTS 28 BENGALS 21
