How Come Washington Gets No Respect From Books?
Last week skins were only favored by 1 against awful Giants. Before that they were +1 at home against the Cowboys and Panthers.
They are less than a FG favorite against a bad Atlanta team. Not saying they win and cover, but why are books so down on them? They have a great defense and a solid offense. Seems like books have been wrong with Washington all season long.
covers on those and very tight covers. i was thinking the same all week. alex smith isn't going to lose games. so he plays to the standard. i am still surprised by the number with the injuries the falcons have and the way skins secondary playing lately. and ap looking like a new man. i'm on it.
I want to take skins but hesitant on the line. Skins are the better team, only part of game you can say Falcons do better is passing game, but we all know how they look when they have to play outdoors. Usually a no brainer when you back the team with the better defense and running game.

If Washington covers here, books have no idea what they are doing with their lines. Dallas is garbage and they made them a home do against them.

I said it months ago that the skins were going to win the division. That will probably be decided on the last game vs Philly. They have a tough schedule after the next 3 games. ATL is off the bye but I like the skins.

Tough run by Falcons' Ito Smith for a 12-yard touchdown against the No. 2 run defense in the league. Falcons are 6-for-6 on third down today -- a big reason they lead 14-0.

Skins don't match up well against Falcons.
Need the Falcons to hold on to this first half lead and win this.. They have a tendency to let teams score in the second half of games.. We do not need to see a come back here..
My money is on the Falcons and so far so good, it's not a done deal yet with that weak and suspect Falcons defensive secondary....

That last td sucked i still think wash can score in the 2nd half but they keep giving up large plays and cant stop them on 3rd down.

Falcons marched right down for that TD.. That might have done it now.. Skins gonna be hard pressed to come back down 3 TD's now.. Skins can't stop the Falcons...

Very undisciplined showing.. Skins lost a bunch of linemen to injury also today.. Skins might be an excellent fade from this point forward..
Atlanta might be a strong play as well. Sometimes the bye hurts because it slows down a hot team, but I figured it would be good for Atl since their problem is injuries. Kicking myself...Alex Smith sucks too, but I just couldn't pull the trigger on the Falcons

Yup, I liked Atlanta today.. One of my big plays for the day.. I had to pull the trigger on it.. Yes Alex Smith is suspect but I figured it would be a shoot out with maybe the Falcons just putting up more points.. With the +2.5 points I hit it on all books...

The Redskins' record looks good but both the Packers and Panthers beat themselves when they played them. The D-line gets some sacks but all too often simply can't get any kind of pass rush, like today.
You say Atlanta is bad but they played 6 teams with winning record. Who did Redskins play?
Both of Washington’s starting guards will be headed for tests after injuries forced them out of Sunday’s loss to the Falcons.
Right guard Brandon Scherff hurt his shoulder and left guard Shawn Lauvao hurt his knee on a day when the team was already playing without left tackle Trent Williams. Head coach Jay Gruden said after the game that both guards would get MRIs to determine the severity of their injuries.
All of the injuries — right tackle Morgan Moses was out for a bit too — meant they ran out of offensive line reserves and had to shuffle the pieces they did have available.
“When Brandon went down I had to run to the sideline to [offensive line coach Bill] Callahan just to figure out where he wanted guys to go,” offensive lineman Chase Roullier said. “Sometimes, depending on the defense, if they’re more a power-rush team they want me at guard, maybe they want me at center, so we just have to figure all that out. Once we had it figured out it’s just go out there and play football, it’s what we’re meant to do.”
Roullier went from center to left guard, Tony Bergstrom played center and third-round pick Geron Christian saw his first playing time as the team tried to hang with the Falcons. Depending on the test results, they may need to do more shuffling in Tampa next week as well.
I told somebody at work yesterday, Eagles will run them down and take first.
Only threat to Eagles will be Cowboys, but Cowboys have go to get right.
That division will have 2 team race, Washington will be playing for next year by this time next month.
They are +3 against a team with 2 wins and a back up quarterback. No respect!
