"winning with other coach's recruits"... any thoughts?
last few years, i've seen high profile coaches (i think) having huge trouble with new teams.
i know there is some problem with picking up the past coach's recruits especially if either coach runs unique schemes. the most obvious is rich rodriguez generally going undersized.
anyway, seems like there are great opportunities figuring out which coaches do well first year i'm thinking maybe at a lower level (MAC, MWC, SBC, AAC, USA) it's just getting the best players they can whereas at a high level you have more choice of good players so can emphasize size vs. speed etc.
i will note that first year coaches being a good FADE overall wasn't the case the last few years before this. there were some good ones offsetting the bad ones.
anyway, i'm going to look into this and share what i find here.
