PIT - No Le'Veon Bell this week
Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is not expected to report this week, according to a source. The Steelers are on a bye this week, but Bell could report Monday, Oct. 22.

Bell was supposed to report during the team's bye week (this week) but now that doesn't seem to be the case. We'll see if he shows up next Monday.
NO - RB Alvin Kamara not taking a back seat
Source: The New Orleans Advocate - Nick Underhill
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara's nine offensive touches in Week 5 against the Washington Redskins were a byproduct of the team's several explosive plays in that game and not a reduced role, according to head coach Sean Payton, who expects more balance between Kamara and Mark Ingram going forward.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fantasy GMs are not going to shy away from Kamara. He didn't get much of a chance to perform against Washington with Drew Brees setting records and filling the air with footballs in Week 5. We'll see Kamara back at his normal RB1 production in Week 7.
CLE - QB Baker Mayfield sprained his ankle
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield (ankle) suffered a sprained ankle Sunday, Oct. 14, and will receive treatment this week.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We'll watch Mayfield's progress through the week of practice. He's not expected to miss time.
PIT - RB James Conner to remain involved
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner is expected to remain involved in a committee when and if RB Le'Veon Bell returns, in the opinion of NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Conner has been doing an outstanding job this year for the Steelers. He has 453 rushing yards (5th highest in the NFL) and a whopping seven touchdowns (2nd most) on the ground after six games. The Steelers may want Bell out there as the lead back to get as much out of him as they can (before they lose him), but Bell first has to report to the team. Stay tuned.
ATL - Atlanta hopeful about WR Mohamed Sanu
Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Kelsey Conway
Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hip) hopefully will be able to play in the team's Week 7 game, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watch Sanu's practice status during the week. With Calvin Ridley (ankle) also banged up, the Falcons could be a bit short handed at the position.
JAX - RB Leonard Fournette runs Monday
Source: The Florida Times-Union - Phillip Heilman
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) was able to some running Monday, Oct. 15, and looked good, according to head coach Doug Marrone.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fournette has only played in two games this year. He hasn't been on the field since the team's Week 4 game against the Jets. It's a good sign that he's running and looking good but it doesn't mean he's back. The Jaguars have a bye in Week 9 and there's a chance Fournette still has to miss some more time. Stay tuned.
LAR - WR Cooper Kupp has MCL sprain
Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (knee) has a sprained medial collateral ligament that could cause him to miss some time, according to a source.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Kupp was brought down by Broncos safety Darian Stewart with a horse collar tackle and the play looked painful. The Rams craft receiver left the game only to come back later...then only to exit permanently after that. While Kupp is out, we'll see if the Rams mix in more from Josh Reynolds.
NYJ - Two injured players could return to practice
Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini
New York Jets RB Elijah McGuire (foot) and FS Rontez Miles (knee) will be eligible to participate in practice this week, but head coach Todd Bowles would not say if either will take part in practice. McGuire is currently on the Reserve/Injured list, while Miles is on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Keep an eye on McGuire if you play in a deep league with a large bench. He can make plays as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. McGuire will be eligible to return after Week 8 of the regular season.
MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill will keep starting job
Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) will be the team's starting quarterback once he returns from his injury, according to head coach Adam Gase.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Gase said he believes Tannehill will be able to play again this season. The young coach squashed any sort of notion of a quarterback controversy after the career-best game (380 yards passing) Brock Osweiler had on Sunday against the Bears.
OAK - First-round pick for WR Amari Cooper?
Source: NFL.com - Austin Knoblauch
Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper is on the trading block. The Raiders are asking for a first-round draft pick in exchange for Cooper, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Good luck with that. Cooper was a first-round pick for the Raiders in the 2015 NFL draft but they won't get that type of pick back for him. He's been far too inconsistent and had a concussion in Week 6. Jon Gruden is tearing apart the Raiders to rebuild them in his image. It sounds like Cooper is not going to be a part of that long-term plan.
NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa out several games
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) will miss three to four weeks with a high-ankle sprain, according to a source.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Enunwa is out and Sam Darnold is on to targeting guys like Jermaine Kearse or Terrelle Pryor more in his absence. Fantasy GMs in shallow bench leagues can feel safe dropping Enunwa.
OAK - QB Derek Carr OK after rough game
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (arm) is expected to start next week despite suffering a left arm injury in Week 6.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Raiders couldn't do much, especially with Carr dinking and dunking his way through the game. Carr was sacked six times and sustained numerous other hits during a drubbing to the Seattle Seahawks in London.
BUF - QB Josh Allen week-to-week
Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) is considered week-to-week with an elbow injury, according to head coach Sean McDermott.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Bills are going to wisely monitor their young quarterback closely. Even though Nathan Peterman was their backup to Allen in Week 6, his continuous poor play might propel the Bills to elevate newly acquired Derek Anderson to the starting position while Allen is out.
WAS - RB Chris Thompson day-to-day
Source: ESPN.com - John Keim
Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib, knee) is day-to-day with the rib and knee issues that kept him out of action in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Rib injuries just come down to pain tolerance, so monitor Thompson's work in practice during the week. Head coach Jay Gruden told reporters he was unsure of what Thompson's workload would be in practice early this week.
CLE - RB Nick Chubb to see more work?
Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb ran for 25 yards on three carries in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and head coach Hue Jackson suggested for the second time in three weeks that Chubb needs to get more carries.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Chubb has the ability to take over in the Browns backfield if he only gets the opportunity. He's a natural runner with instincts and power. Chubb can handle a large workload but he should still split time with Carlos Hyde even if his role does grow.
ATL - WR Calvin Ridley likely suffered bone bruise
Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure
Atlanta Falcons WR Calvin Ridley (ankle) is believed to have suffered a bone bruise on his left ankle after an MRI came back 'pretty clean' Monday, Oct. 15.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watch Ridley's practice status before throwing him in as a flex play. We'll see if they give him time to heal and how he responds to this bone bruise.
JAX - TE Niles Paul likely to miss multiple games
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Niles Paul (knee) likely suffered a sprained MCL in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Paul is expected to learn the results of an MRI in the near future, but the injury is not expected to be the end his season.
ATL - WR Julio Jones makes dubious history
Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones' 707 receiving yards are the most a player has had in the first six weeks without a touchdown in NFL history, according to Elias Sports Bureau.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones just doesn't catch a lot of touchdowns. Over the last two seasons, Jones has nine touchdowns combined. In fact, he's only had double-digit touchdowns once in his career and that was all the way back in 2012. All that being said...getting a touchdown here or there would certainly make his Fantasy GMs happy.
