NFL should schedule games for every night during the week..

Like MLB and the NBA does.. Why don't they do that?

League did venture to Thursday night football games which is a success.. Never understood why they don't take it to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday night football games also?

You'd think the league would make more money rather then cramming it all on Sundays..

I'd love to watch a NFL game tonight, thoughts?

I'd like to see NFL teams start playing doubleheaders.

NFL works best because it’s an easy draw for the casual fans. Watch “your” team play at basically the same day/time 16x a year. Very easy to do and schedule your life around.

It’s also a scheduling nightmare for the league. NFL players/ coaches are all about structure and routine. Way too hard for the league to schedule games with appropriate number of days off for every team in between games.

The Thursday night product is bad enough.. no need to water the product down anymore.

Awful idea that will should never and will never happen.

    Absolutely they should
Because football is such a violent sport and needs days to recover and recoup from injury I don’t see it happening.
I love the MAC. Tuesdays in NCAA football and Thursday night games
Guess Wednesday’s are going to be the down time

No, each team does what 16 games a season?? Fuk that the season would be over quick as hell, only way they could do that is add way more games and because football is way more physical that'll never happen, the injurys would pile up like crazy

The only problem I see with games every night is the player rest between games week to week.. Very short weeks between games for teams and players could be an issue..

Still you can rotate for a team to let's say play on Tuesday night then schedule their next game for Monday night.. It would all be about scheduling to give players and teams adequate rest and to prepare..

NFL would have 5 prime time games during the week and that would create more revenue.. Fan base would eat it up..

COME ON MAN make it happen NFL commissioner!!!

Would rather them eliminate the Thurs night game, and do double header Monday nights like the whole season.

Horrible idea Jiblets, should lose the Thursday game (won't happen) and stick to Sundays/Monday Night. NFL built it's brand on owning Sundays, more ain't always better.

On a semi-related note: I think the NBA should play all 2-games series. It would cut down on travel expenses and the players wouldn't complain so much about all the travel. Plus, fans of out-of-town teams/players could see them two nights in a row.

Well then I guess MLB, NHL and the NBA should do the same.. Stack just about all the games for Sunday then!!!

Make me commissioner and I'd make it happen for the NFL.. I have a business mind and it would more profitable.. Would not water down the sport, it would expose it more.. NFL tries to bring it to England instead which blows my mind..

This league is stupid now.. LOL..

NBA has expanded to Canada which barely works with the Raptors but they don't have to take the 12 hour flights to the UK and have to deal with the jet lag.. I give the NBA credit for that..

Leave you boys with this - Why is the NFL so different from the other sports in this regard?

Doing this would basically end NFL Sundays as we know it. Teams can't play Sunday-Tuesday or Sunday-Wednesday, so entire schedule would need to be spaced out.

I like people saying it’ll be “watered down” are you watching this shit right now? Everyone is mediocre. Who the penetrate cares when they play. Biggest downside I see with week nights would maybe be less fans in the stand.

Take a week off the season and stretch it out a bit more? Baseball clearly needs to cut back.

Diasagree, NFL has been great this year as has college

Players have conformed their play to the new rules and there have been less terrible calls. Great year so far for the league

stupid idea and clearly doesn't live in the USA.

NFL days of popularity went downhill as soon as they went to Thursday night games. They marketed and did a league strategic initiative to have a night of football to themselves and spend so much $$ and sell that night to advertisers as a big night of football. It failed. Nobody likes it.

    BUT WAIT

they did have the greatest night of sports to themselves that basically made the NFL to what it is today. MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. And they ruined MNF.

You would't understand if you weren't around in the '70's 80's 90's. NFL was amazing.

Now today. It really is just average.

Half the Thursday games suck cause its a short week. Don't make it worse.

However Monday should be a double header every week. Makes too much sense.

Degens would welcome an NFL game every 8 days a week.

Scheduling more weeknights would be a nightmare for the walking wounded from Sunday's games.

I would like to see the refs keep the yellow flags in their pockets in both the NFL and NCAA-FB.
