I have to agree.......i can't see how home field is going to make a difference of 40 pts. I mean how is it possible that Calgary is even favored in this game? Of course when something looks to good to be true, it usually is!

QB Michael Bishop is out for Argos looks like old NFLer Mcmahon is getting ready for the good ship . . . explains line somewhat . . .

Anyone who has ever read my posts on Micheal Bishop will know exactly what i think of his ability to lead a football team. I actually believe the Argos will be a better team with McMahon at QB. With that being said, even with their "backup" QB in and not having home field, being an underdog to a team that they just finished pummelling makes zero sense to me.

An ex NFL QB should do very well in the CFL. I have confidence in McMahon.

Calgary has been horrible their last wo games, both blowouts, their only win was at home vs Hamilton and that game was close for 3/4ths of the game. While I don't think Calgary will be that bad again against the Argo's I still think they will get beat.

Here's my thoughts on the games this week.

WPG/MTL Winni[eg has looked good so far but I still believe that they will begin to slide. I am avoiding them until I see how they come off their hot start. And the Als have their spirits high after a win against Hamilton and now come into a 4pt game at home. This could go either way.

HAM/BC 16 pts is a big spread but honestly I don't know if Hamilton can even stay that close. Hamilton traditionally does very poorly in BC with the long flight and a short recovery week for them, this could be ugly. Slight lean on BC -16.

SASK/EDM This has all the makings of a western shootout. The game could go either way but I have a feeling that ther will be fireworks. The over 50 is my play of the week.

TOR/CGY This one could go either way also. Calgary has a lot of weapons and should be lighting up the scoreboard but hasn't gotten it together yet. Toronto killed them last week and that gives the stamps some added motivation here. Add in an untested NFL washup QB starting for the Argos and this one is too low confidence to play either way.

Sorry Owned that I couldn't respond sooner, I have been out most of the day and just got home minutes ago.

Alot of times I don't even consider totals in the CFL.

I'm more comfortable betting unders when I see one that stands out. This year in CFL I haven't bet a total, just spreads and moneylines.

My Winnipeg pick (+130 M/L & +2.5 pts) came through and Hamilton (my other play today +16 pts) are down by 3 at the half.

Hamilton didn't look as bad last game and they are starting to play as a team. They have alot of new personnel including coaches and as they become accustomed to each other improvement seems likely. I would have bet BC up to -6.5 but at +16 Hamilton was a no brainer for me.

I watch alot of TSN & Sportsnet for CFL coverage as I'm in Toronto, until the NHL season starts I get by with the CFL.

Right on BP, I watched the first game with no clue on some of the rules (like the 1 point punt?), but whatever, Winnepeg came through. Not watching this 2nd game, although I have a play on it as well.

What do you think of the weekend games?

I still like Toronto +3 over Calgary. I'll write more on those games as they get closer.

The 1 point punt, yeah, how about starting from your own 35 yard line after the opposing teams scores a field goal? And a penalty to the kicking team if they don't give the receiving team 5 yds to make the catch?

PS: You're not supposed to post, lol!

If you are looking for CFL info or Canadian Sports Coverage, try:

    TSN

Hamilton was +700 on the moneyline. They're leading by three late in the 3rd qrtr. Never considered the moneyline although +700 is juicy, huge dogs like these rarely win.

    Fridays play:

    Saskatchewan +3 +102
    Saskatchewan +141 M/L

Sask was favoured at home to the undefeated BC Lions last week and got clobbered, I see them rebounding against an Edmonton team that is so far inconsistent.

This game has the potential to be a high scoring 50+ points game.

I believe Sask is the superior team and will take the points and the moneyline.

Man I coulda puked last night - Saskatchewan on the ML and they were in control 20-1 and then never scored again and lost.

This Toronto bet seems fishy, the line has been steadily climbing.
