Pete Carroll lost Cred with Seahawks with 'That Pass' call

Did one play call derail a potential Seahawks dynasty?

It may have, according to former Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril, who says that the team began to doubt coach Pete Carroll and his staff after losing Super Bowl XLIX.

Discussed this topic yesterday with some people. It was one of the worst calls ever and the wheels of motion were set (doubt motion). Too bad as SEA was basically unbeatable.

As soon as a coach loses his team the team is done

That being said it's hard for me to think it came over one call

I'd tell that dude look in the mirror and point as the coach doesn't play the game

In 30 years on his deathbed, he'll confess he was beholden to the Mob and was forced to lose the game. That's got to be the only reason for such a bonehead call.

I don't agree with the call although I understand the call

Element of surprise that just didn't work

Put it to rest Seattle as it is what it is

I totally agree. It annoys me to death that Brady got that ring.

i dont know about a dynasty but it sure did derail me financially

i had way too much money on seattle PK and way too much money on Beast mode to win the MVP

still try not to think about that game...

Even though it was a bad coaching call.... for a former player to say the entire team quit because of it (or doubts their coach....)

Sounds pretty ridiculous. Avril sounds like an a$$hole.

More and more players are speaking their minds in today's NFL world. Unfortunately all they do is just prove how ignorant they really are.

    No way

Sea didn't deserve to even be that close to begin with....that drive had several blizzard plays.

It wasnt a bad call either. Butler guessed right but that pass hits 9/10 times. Lynch no sure thing from 3 w clock running.

let me tell you something about professional athletes..There so much lottery money involved that ITS A DOG EAT DOG WORLD. They all compete against eachother for jobs and money and don't care that much about winning. All that winning talk is just tellin fans and owners what they want to hear. The most absurd thing I hear is sports talk radio guys wondering why people don't give up millions of dollars to be on a winning team? Nothing could be more absurd. The average NFL career is 3 years, 98% of them don't give a shit who they play for as long as they get to play and get paid. Almost ALL of them are fighting for there lives just to stay on the roster and would happily play for any body

Lynch is more likely to fumble in the redzone than Wilson throwing a pick

Besides the NFC West teams, Seattle hosts Dallas, LA Chargers, Kansas City, Green Bay, and Minnesota, Their away schedule is much easier. They go to London to play Oakland, then to Denver, Chicago, Detroit and Carolina. If Seattle can win at home, they will EASILY win more than 6 games because they should win at least 3 on the road.
