If the Pats draft Jackson it's the end of their franchise

ESPN will demand he start real fast and Brady is done.
Patriot fans won't take to him.
Black QB's still have a situation.
Not an accurate passer and not a good fit for Patriot playbook.

I think the Patriots, if any, knows the value of a good backup QB. And since Jackson is the most electric QB prospect there is, I think they will like him. It's not like ESPN will come and bench Brady....
Patriots fans might have an issue though if they have to trade up 10-15 spots to take him.

If they end up with Jackson, McDaniels will be working on an offense based around his strengths to implement 2 years down the road. They wouldn’t expect him to master Brady’s offense. Out of all the top rated qbs, I think Jackson would be the most excited to learn from Brady.

Agree with you 100%. I would rather they use their 1st rd picks to fill in holes on both sides of ball if they don’t envision any of the qbs being a franchise guy.

There are plenty of qbs to take in rounds 2 and 3.

A guy I would love to see in Ne is Washington from okie st. I love his game. Wr depth chart full but after Edelman and hogan, none are great.

Pats should take a rb at some point. Very deep at the position. Ditto for te.

its not like they can draft a qb that will be a good fit because brady will demand they trade him then.

We heard the same B.S. about RGIII, Vick, Kap, and other wanna-be QB's. The Patriots are way too smart to waste a pick on him IF they are looking for a potential replacement for Brady. The Patsies have never been a team that depends on the running game or a mobile QB for their success. Why would think they would have a sudden change of heart now?

Dead on. Who do we have? A couple of head cases (Mayfiend and Rosen), a complete unknown (Allen) a kid with the mentality but not the physical tools needed for success (Darnold) and a QB that cannot hit the ocean from the beach from 10+ yards away (Jackson).

My guess - if Pats pick up Jackson it's just for his trade value.
Josh McDaniels should not have to re-invent the wheel
If it ain't broke don't fix it.. supply Brady with veteran backups
it's the other parts of the team that need most help.

Would be huge mistake to draft Jackson, even just for the media stir
don't need that kind of narrative

Grits. Great call on the RB. I don`t get it. Would rather they have taken another lineman or d-back. But BB must have seen something special in this kid. Sal Pal just said Eags were taking him with the next pick and were surprised the Pats scooped him.

The RB thing is so funny in N.E. They just seem to find guys every year to handle the load. So this guy better kick some ass.

Funny they could have had Lamar with out moving up or @23, and they passed. Smoke screen with the interest??

You are right LB. It has lasted too long as it is. Enough already. Give someone else a chance.

What is so funny to me, is the Browns fired Belichick when he was moving the franchise in the right direction.
The system was in place, staff was sick. He was going to get his QB. Then they would have been a force.
BUT they keep the guy who is 1-31 last 2 years.

Nice draft by BB. Classic Belichick head fake.
Isaiah Wynn plays all OL positions.
    Sony Michel RB
    Both good for Brady.

Lamar jackson, good luck in Baltimore. I see he's already stirring the pot
and making predictions about how he will win a Superbowl. You can have
the controversy and press stories about when will he take over from Flacco
they are already starting. PASS !

He's done nothing to deserve confidence on the NFL level.
Uncalled for cockiness is not confidence. Where's the respect ?
Flacco is 33, certainly not dead meat in today's league.
Look how fast the gossip hounds start. New England doesn't need this b.s.

Flacco has looked awful last 2 to 3 seasons. Let's be honest.
