Are the Browns really going to select Josh Allen at #1?

This is what most mock drafts are showing nowadays.

    Shocking to say the least.

I don't claim to be an NFL scout, but this is not the selection I would make.

    Sam Darnold.

Would be a brutal mistake. Not many guys with that low of completion percentage in college translate to being great pros

It has to be Rosen or Allen; if not Barkley.

If I were going to be drafted by Cleaver,I'd be looking for a new career path
as high drafts in Cleveland have A 0% SUCCESS RATE.......

Unless one of them is head and shoulders above the rest just take saquon #1 guy will be a difference maker. Hard to f'ck that up and you can still get your qb with #4 pick.

ok stats aren't measurable's but plenty of stat guys banging the table for him claiming his completion percentage does not tell the whole story and that he is an accurate passer.

    Giant...good thread, pal.

NFL GMs love saying "a John Elway-type arm." For that reason, they won't pass on JAllen. This guy is two years removed from being a NOBODY.

Josh Rosen is funny. Guy has already basically said that he doesn't care about football.

The Cleveland Browns hold the No. 1 and No. 4 overall selections in the 2018 NFL Draft. There are four quarterbacks that are considered to be at the head of the class at the quarterback position. The organization could theoretically add two quarterbacks with their first round picks.

    It has reportedly been discussed.

"I have asked multiple members of the Cleveland Browns organization—which owns picks no. 1 and 4, in addition to three second-rounders—what I thought was a very stupid question: Have you considered ignoring all norms and drafting two quarterbacks high in the draft? The answer is yes. The people I asked have thought about it, discussed it, and investigated it. This is not to say it will happen, but the Browns have considered it. In fact, one person I spoke with could immediately rattle off every previous instance of teams drafting two passers high because he’d done the prep work on the idea," Kevin Clark of The Ringer said.

There is no way they're taking two quarterbacks.

Can you imagine if they both busted?

    Josh Allen is Jeff George.

Josh Rosen is just a different kind of guy. He's got a lot of interests. I'm not sure if he loves football, and he's a big injury risk. He can sling it though.

I usually prefer the NBA draft over the NFL draft, but this particular draft should be pretty good.

    Lots of quarterbacks.

    Lots of teams needing quarterbacks.

The intrigue factor is high, gentlemen.

I've watched more Allen tape than most. Have to admit that I'm intrigued.

The big-arm thing is no joke. GMs dream of a guy who can split the seams. Mark me down as cautiously optimistic.

In 5 years...where will we see the standing of Darnold? Rosen? Mayfield?

I'd seriously question Rosen's attitude issue. He's going to be a bum.

I'm not too hi on Darnold. He's just never jumped off the page to me. And OhioSt bossed him.

I actually think Mayfield and RUDOLPH will be good value picks.

Yep,the 2000 Ray Lewis led Ravens and the 2002 Buccaneers..........

The closest Cleveland team to ever make a good QB was Bernie Kosar in the mid 80's
    and he wasn't elite,for sure,Lol...........
