Something amiss with Cooks. Pats were not going to resign him.

    Steal for the Patriots.

    Cooks was wildly erratic.

He was the type of player I could've seen them trading for a 2019 4th round pick, or even waiving.....but they got a 2018 1st Rounder. Wow!

That New England offense is at times similar to the old Larry Bird, McHale, Ainge, etc. Boston Celtics offense where at times had/has nothing but white guys on the court/field kicking azz.

Wonder if that has anything to do with why they have so many haters??

Not a shaky player at all. Cooks is one of the better deep threat receivers in the NFL. Pats were just not willing to re-sign him. Got 1 good year of him on his rookie deal and got a 1st rounder back. Rams were better off franchise tagging Watkins and keeping their pick.

23rd pick in the First Round
    Pats scored big here.
    Cook is an average receiver..
but I understand the league really doesn't have many great receivers now.

Again, this is all about the cap and $$$.
They paid Cooks bargain money last year. He performed well and would still be in Foxboro @ the same price.
He is due like 8+ this year, then have to sign him or franchise him.

The Patriot way, ripped around the world, has proven time and again as the only way to stay on top.
Any talk of the Pats opening up the bank/Picks for OBJ is ludicrous.

Rams, if healthy, look like a wrecking crew. Total win now mentality. Should be fun. Another NFC beast.

This is the correct statement. With injured ass Allen Robinson getting a 3 yr, $42 M deal this year....Cooks is set to get somewhere in the $16M a year range. Something the Pats don’t want to pay for. With Edelman coming back, the Pats are hoping for the best.

Now if they trade Gronkowski, things will really get crazy.

Wonder what Gronk would bring and if they are getting calls?
He is still a bargain this year even with all the incentives.
He is one injury away from WWE/b movies with Jean Claude.

Rams were +2000 to win the Super Bowl before all the trades/acquisitions.

    positive

You can still find +1300 for the Rams but +2000 was available before Talib and Suh...can't remember what day they announced Peters but I think you could still get it then

I think +1300 is still a pretty nice price

He was actually better than I expected. Type of guy who will prob do well in la, always thought of him as a much better player when in dome or at least good weather.
