Pats would never sign Amendola at age 32 to that kind of money. Next man up.

With db's it is a matter of system. Remember a certain db from dallas named terrance newman. He absolutely sucked after zimmerman left dallas. Bengal signed him when zimmerman was the coach of bengals d. He was actually pretty good. When zimmerman went to minnesota he followed him. He was decent enough that he played for about dozen years in nfl

this is a joke right? newman was a good solid corner who lasted 15 years and retired just last year at 40, he was more than a system player

Any CB going to a new team is gonna struggle. Look at Peters. Look what happened when Revis went to NE. Took him a while. Carr when he went to Baltimore sucked in his first year, pretty solid now.

Butler can still be a good player but he has to 1) find the passion to play the game again at a high level. Here's a guy who's been discounted his entire career, then makes one of the biggest plays in nfl history. 2) he has to stop gambling on defense and just play sound football.

A lot of these guys, after they're proven players, they just say "f it," and would rather go for picks than play sound coverage. You're seeing that with Peters and Butler now. Two of the better corners over the last 3 years, and are both getting roasted routinely.

Still need a QB...even a rookie contract qb but at some point you have to pay QBs.

Great teams patch their defense nowadays on the cheap

As a life long cowboys fan...he was run out of dallas.IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys made the move that has been expected for months by releasing cornerback Terence Newman on Tuesday. The Cowboys also announced that they've released kicker David Buehler. ... Newman missed the first two games of the 2011 season because of a groin injury.Mar 13, 2012

The last 3 years he was at dallas he was awful. The only reason he lasted so long in dallas is because jerry jones loved him

2011 was really bad for newman he ranked in the top 15 worst corners in the league. If you remember pacman jones took his job in dallas til he left. He had problems playing man on man but was great on teams that played a zone. I know because I watched him forever. Whether it was as a bengal season ticket holder or when i was in dallas using my uncles tickets
