    It was a catch and run. He crossed the goal line with possession of the ball and the ground can't cause a fumble.

    Dude took like three whole f'n steps before he dived. He had obviously made the catch and established himself as a runner before diving for the goal line. I'm surprised the commentators were so squirrelly about the whole thing. It wasn't even close.

    agreed 100% and the defender in this case caused him to fall. i think james was on his own

    i also agree that i was surprised that collinsworth thought it was highly similar to pittsburgh. it was definitely reminiscent of the pittsburgh catch but the details were completely differently..

    lastly... was that even for sure a fumble? he seemed to regain possession and the ball was in his control when it hit the ground. i think it was a fumble.

    Me too. I was like wtf are these idiots talking about, he was clearly a runner as the ball crossed the goal line.
