Yea not saying in skins situation I would, they ****** up so much with cousins now it would cost fortune to franchise him. Just saying if I had choice I'd like my chances of advancing in playoffs a lot better w cousins.

Let’s be real, if bortles, keenum and foles can make a conference title game then cousins certainly can. Defense and competent qb play alone goes far. Is he gonna choose money or situation?

Alex Smith better be ready to play with different guys every week because the Redskins can't keep from getting hurt. What were the Redskins on like their 4th running back by the end of the season?

An off year? He easily had the best year of his career.

IDK Kermy? They were a quick out in the playoffs this season. I'd call that an off year for Alex Smith.. Then again they always seem to be a quick out in the playoffs now that I look at the numbers.. Maybe I stand corrected... https://www.pro-football-reference.c...n/playoffs.htm

He put up the best numbers in his entire 13 year career last season. As far as the playoffs go, his best playoff game was a shoot-out that he lost to the Colts back in 2013.

Well all the more reason not to trade him then.. What is KC thinking?

I still say he's the franchise player... Skins fans and players should be very happy... That's a win pickup right there..

Maybe good for Skins fans, but if I were Smith, I wouldn't want to go there.

I like Teddy too, but he's coming off a major injury, he's got a year + of rust on him, he is a good fit for the KC offense however, but Cousins is NFL ready as he hasn't missed a start in three full seasons and he's a white QB

Did have major surgery but he was always a pocket passer. I would like to see him come back home to Miami and push Tannehill for the starting job but don’t want to give up the farm for that and don’t think you would have too

Surprised at the Alex Smith trade. Thought Andy Reid needed to go.

Alex Smith a lot better than Cousins...

You don't even have to push Tannenhill to geet the starting job, all you need is a nudge.
Like Teddy, Tannehill has a year of rust on him, in 2016 he was an ordinary QB, in 2015 he was piss poor, he throws too many picks, and I don't trust him game on the line, money on the table.

You make a tremendous point, Teddy is a very good fit in Miami, and the South Beach set would love him too.

Redskins have a very good storied football history, fans are loyal, I don't see why Smith wouldn't want to go there?..

Well, I guess it depends what they do with that offensive line and if Smith can get protection... Kansas City wasn't exactly Disneyland and the happiest place on earth to play at either IMO...

Alex Smith will take the Redskins to the playoffs next year.. He's that good.. Not the strongest arm, but he's accurate and already a proven veteran QB..

I mainly meant I woudln't want to go there because of how injury prone the team is. Every week you have different guys that you have to get used to.

Alex Smith doesnt really stand up to Cousins. He certainly not better than Kirk.
Im not happy for Cousins to go thru the trade out of Washington. But hes a cool, cool quarterrback. Alex Smith was never any good. Yikes
