    unconfirmed rumor re: Pats

the unconfirmed rumor I heard (not on internet)
says Brady is not really injured. It's one of Belichick's
ruses to throw Jacksonville for a loop in the early game
Brady will come out slinging - Pats want a big early lead.

I thought it was funny when Brady said "We will see" when asked if he was going to play. I doubt his injury is very serious at all. This is how the Pats always operate.

more like smoke and mirrors for bettors really... you think they want to sack him any less or more depending on his health status?

I would say more along the lines of making a story like this up so after the Pats win it gives all the talk shows, primarily the ex-Pats commentators, an extra reason sit around the table and beat off to Brady. It wouldn't be a big enough story if Tom just beat the Jags at home to make it to another Superbowl. It is much greater to pretend he is seriously injured so they can make some huge story out of what would otherwise be a basic formality.

I hear ya, certainly will be the story of how great Brady is battling thru injury if they win: I think jags beat them tho in which case it will be a big ass excuse. Either way pats win, built in excuse if they lose, more Brady praise if they win.

There is no way in hell Brady will play if his hand doesn’t heal. With super bowl only 2 weeks away belichek will want him 100% and rest him Sunday.

They could run the ball and throw left handed jump balls to Gronk and score 24, which will cover the number because the Jags will score 13 if they are lucky.

hes fine. no structural damage. if they have to give him a pain shot before game he can still be effective because what makes him good is his decision making not his power

he will lead them to 24 pts that will get the ML in

    I disagree

Do you really believe some of these Books would drop that line from 11 to 8, based a on a silly rumor? I don't think so.
The heavy bettors have to believe NE will have their hands full--including both of Brady's.

Here was the beginning of Tom Brady’s press conference. Quickly made it clear he wouldn’t talk about the hand.

Tom Brady did nothing to dispel the mystery surrounding the condition of his throwing hand or the anxiety gripping New England over how his mysterious injury may impair him in Sunday’s AFC Championship game against the Jaguars.

Brady showed up at his Friday press conference with red gloves on each hand and a muzzle over his mouth.

Patriots media allowed closer to Friday’s practice than any grassy knoll observed that Brady was able to make a fist, but were whisked away before they could chronicle whether he could throw for the first time this week. Later in the day, Brady was listed as limited in practice and questionable for the Super Bowl-deciding matchup.

But wide receiver Danny Amemdola revealed that Brady did indeed participate in practice and throw the ball.

“Tom always tends to show up in big games,” Amendola said, “so this is a big game.”

Asked how he looked, Amendola said: “Like Tom Brady.”

Boston radio host Michael Felger reported that Brady needed four stitches around his knuckle, and it would not bother the quarterback during the game.

Brady sounded more like Bill Belichick than he normally does. Brady, however, smiled through the pain he is enduring.

“I’m not talking about it,” Brady said.

Thumbs up or thumbs down for Sunday?

    “We’ll see,” Brady said.

Gripping drama, much ado about nothing or somewhere in between?

How confident are you that you’ll be playing on Sunday?

    “We’ll see,” Brady said.

Will you be on top of your game or physically capable?

    “We’ll see,” Brady said.
    * The drama continues.
