    Jeff Triplette

Guy was so bad in refereeing the Titans/Chiefs game that he is quitting the game.

These refs are very highly scrutinized.

We always bitch on here about how garbage they are, but there is a lot of oversight involved in being an NFL ref.

They keep track of blown calls and there are consequences for being shitty.

Wait... after reading about this game and his “bad” calls.

    Looks kind of suspicious

The Mariota sack fumble that he called “forward progress” was about as bad a call as I have seen. Chiefs couldn’t review because of this

Guys the President & CEO of a company called Arbiter Sports. Largest sports officiating assigning software in the world. Every D1-D2-D3 & JUCO officials Assignor’s use his software. There’s been rumors for years he was going to stop working nfl games.

He's been the worst NFL referee for a long time. I've even avoided betting on games he's officiated because he's so bad. I suspect he only got the game as a retirement present. I'm very glad he's going.

How do you not argue Tony Corrente's intentional grounding call on Carolina? Scam clearly outside the tackle box and ball clearly passed line of scrimmage....huge call as it was loss of down and 10 second run off

One of the worst calls, I have ever witnessed. Right up there with Hochuli's no-fumble call in Chargers @ Broncos years back.

That seemed like an iffy-weak call as well in that spot.

So glad he’s leaving, was truly one of the worst refs, they have a few more to weed out yet

But the NFL has officials in NY literally watching , calling officials at the game should it be that botched of a call .
They did with the 10 second runoff on the Carolina grounding that the crew forgot about .
This isn't just NFL, all sports , college and pro the officiating seems to be going down .
But replay , secondary officials on the sidelines , officiating offices watching , there should not be a call completely impact the game unless a penalty , a holding missed , etc
So replay isn't working is the reality of it ?
That was the entire intent that lengthens sporting events , some games have 5+ easily that adds 20-30 minutes to it .

Triplette is a genius compared to Jerome Boger. Boger's crew always screw up every game they work with penalties called that have zero do with the play. He can barely speak correct english out there.
Remember he was given the SB a few years ago when he was actually rated as one the worst crew chiefs.
The NFL then went in and changed his game ratings so it looked like he was good.
It caused an uproar with many veteran officials that never got a chance to work a SB.

Corrente is another con man. You can always tell which side he wants to win. He's worse than Triplette.

From what I’ve read the NFL already knew Tripplette was retiring after the season. The NFL gave him this playoff game as a “going away” gift even though he wasn’t rated high enough to refreee a playoff game. Sucks for KC fans but blowing a 18pt lead they deserve to lose.

    Yeah, this makes more sense.

Triplette was horrible even back when he ruined Orlando Brown Sr's career by throwing a penalty flag at his eyeball. Should have been canned then, but absolutely nothing happened to him.

    Sooo fukking crooked.

He definitely should have been fired after that, that was a load of crap by the NFL that he was allowed to remain.
