This was speculated about weeks ago at least about the trade.

Made 0 sense why they would keep jimmy g all this time and then trade him for a 2nd round pick...and trade Brisett.

Obviously Bellicheck never planned to trade him

Dan Patrick poll of the day:

Who had the most influence on the Patriots success ?

    Belichick getting around 80%

He is the architect and CEO. Makes sense to me.

Funny how seems like 70% of SBR considers TB Alex Smith.
The other 30% think he is all you need to win SBs.

The answer is somewhere in the middle.

Billy 500 type coach without Brady

All the so called Hall of Fame coaches all had Hall of Fame players end of story players win championships not coaches

Lol Billy Coached Brady throwing perfect passes every game and making every right decision he could’ve won every Super Bowl he played in many flukes cost him titles

ANY other professional sports league and that is the way it would have gone down.
Soccer. No Cap. NBA. Cavs were like 30 mil over last year. MLB. Please.

BB would have had an open competition next year.

Trading TB was a non starter for multiple reasons, the biggest being he is probably going to win the MVP this year.

    Brady can win anywhere

He played with least talented players out of any sport

Put him on healthy Giants team they go 19-0

    Denver 17-2

    Dallas 19-0

Greatest sports player of all times because the degree of difficulty QB NFL

Brady is 40 years old now right? He won't be able to play for much longer.. Trading away their solid #2 quarterback behind Brady got coach B pissed off.. I don't blame him... Look what that back up is doing in SF now.. 5 straight wins...

Brady felt threatened and demanded him traded.. So the feud brews.. It's done coach B should get over it... They are going into the playoffs and all need to be on the same page now...

Doesn't change the fact that Brady's legacy is mostly belicheat as pippens was Jordan's

The Patriots responded following the release of an ESPN report Friday that details strife among coach Bill Belichick, quarterback Tom Brady, and owner Robert Kraft. It was called “a joint statement” from Brady, Kraft, and Belichick.
“For the past 18 years, the three of us have enjoyed a very good and productive working relationship. In recent days, there have been multiple media reports that have speculated theories that are unsubstantiated, highly exaggerated, or flat out inaccurate. The three of us share a common goal. We look forward to the enormous challenge of competing in the postseason and the opportunity to work together in the future, just as we have for the past 18 years. It is unfortunate that there is even a need for us to respond to these fallacies. As our actions have shown, we stand united

Exactly. See Bill doesn't build loyalty. He builds winners. Kraft is in love with his son.

Do Not forget the Edmonton oilers once traded Wayne Gretzky

You people have no clue how much New England loves Tom Brady
and Bob Kraft who singlehandedly saved this franchise from moving
to St. Louis in 1993. Brady is a legend - and unlike most media today,
I'm not using that phrase lightly.

Thats exactly what Belichick wanted to do, and Brady stopped it. Brady went to Kraft about playing long term, then Kraft went to Belichick about trading Garrapolo.

    This...

They had 2 choices really. Win for a year or two w Brady and then they all walk away (including Kraft here w a sale) or ditch Brady to a competitive team w a qb problem (Jax, MN, Mia, Buff, NYG, or Cin) and go w Jimmy for 10 years.

    You got your answer.

The aren't breaking up and no one is leaving...they will all retire together.

Bill can leave if he is not happy with ever being overridden by Kraft.
Just like Parcells left... his call... but he won't get to choose when
Tom Brady is not the quarterback of the New England Patriots.

    That's past his pay grade.

Pretty sure he still has a year under contract but if he's not happy
then we will take Giants draft picks - not a problem. Bye.

You imagine the bidding war for a guy like Bellichick,Kraft better watch himself, one of these days he might have to deal with the fact Bill wants out,and then what.

I would love to see Bill go coach the Browns, the one guy that could bring them out of the doldrums.
