The only team the Eagles can beat at home this year in the playoffs is maybe Atlanta.

I am am obviously not optimistic as an eagles fan going forward with a backup qb. They have no shot vs Brady in the sb. The NFC is still up in the air though as no teams are locks to go on the road and win.

So here is a serious question---

Since you all say that it will be an easy win going to philly in the playoffs, how much will you be betting on their opponent? You should be pounding them as one of your largest bets ever, correct? As of last week, a vegas source said that the eagles will still be home favorites vs anyone else in the NFC. Doesn't it therefore make it a max bet situation?

The Vikings' sacks-allowed stat is very misleading. Keenum is very, very good at avoiding sacks. For a few examples:

He isn't surrounded by that much talent on the offensive line. His ability to avoid sacks is just extremely abnormal.

Rams have not clinched 3-seed and yet looks like that are resting Gurley and Goff among others. Can it be they would not be terribly upset losing to 49ers and possibly falling to 4-seed, potentially drawing Eagles in Divisional Round instead of Vikings?

Being realistic I think Philly can beat Atlanta, Carolina, Seattle or the Rams at home. Rams QB a sitting duck in the pocket & Philly front 4 will pressure him all game. Right now I cannot see them beating minny or N. Orleans

But same can be said about Rams front vs. Foles, Philly barely won in LA with Wentz playing most of game. Still cant believe Wentz threw TD pass in his final play while playing with torn ACL!

That’s kinda how i feel. I don’t believe the Eagles will be an easy out. Foles is one of the better backups in the league

Just not a big fan of rams offense IF you can control Gurley. I’m not sold on their QB and if one wants to argue schedules theirs was pretty weak as well. Depressing seeing such a great season go down the toilet

if it’s not philly then I’ll be rooting for the saints. Always been a huge brees fan

Goff has a 4:1 touchdown to interception ratio and will most likely surpass 4k yards this season. I'm sold. Not like he has any BIG name receivers. Who saw Robert Woods turning it on late?

Foles threw for 27 TD & 2INT 1 year. Sold on him?

Nope. Watched both players in the Pac 12(10.) Goff's skill-set is far and above Nick Foles. Foles is physically bigger but his wind up is long and he doesn't have nearly the same arm as Goff. There is a reason Foles was a 3rd rounder and projected to be a backup and Goff went 1st overall. Foles is a solid and reliable QB but I wouldn't build a franchise around him.

Side note, and I could be wrong, but I think Goff has the longest completion of the season this year at like 67 yards or something.

I take that back...Foles arm velocity just below Goff, not a big difference.

    Happened in 2008.

You realize the eagles played 3rd string players most of the game, right?

Scott Hanson on red zone just answered my question. 2008 titans shut out week 17, then lost first playoff game

For the Eagles it will come down to one thing....

    Weather

New Orleans tops the league in passing yards and completions. Atlanta is up there as well at #7, the Eagles are 22nd. However the Eagles are better rushing the ball than both Atlanta and New Orleans. Bad weather will screw up the passing game for both teams and make it one dimensional it will force both teams to run which will play into the Eagles who are best in the league at rushing defense. Both teams don't do so well outside of their dome. If the Eagles play Carolina...forget it, Cam will choke.

I’m going to the Eagles playoff game. I may have to put a wager on the other team to cover my costs for the ticket.

In all seriousness the eagles could cover but they’re going to be a home dog. The writing appears to be on the wall.

Eagles are better than rushing the ball than NOLA? Kamara and Ingram BOTH pro bowlers in the same conference as the eagles...it’s not even close especially with Wentz out. Nola has been dependent on their run and I think it will help tremendously if they can get to Philly. I’ll take Brees to win again in Brees v Foles round 2. I really don’t understand why people are basing this current eagles team as anywhere close to what it was with Wentz...Foles has been awful and he’s only beaten horrible defensive teams (giants). Look at eagles schedule this year...every team moving forward will be their hardest oppponent they faced this year.
