NFL Player News - Week 12

    DEN - Mike McCoy fired

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy was fired Monday, Nov. 20, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos offense has been incredibly bad this year and something had to change. They don't have a quality starting quarterback and McCoy seemed reluctant to utilize a simpler scheme to help out either Trevor Siemian or Brock Osweiler.

DEN - Bill Musgrave promoted to OC

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Denver Broncos quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave was promoted to offensive coordinator Monday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We should soon be seeing the promotion of 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch into the starting lineup. Musgrave has a ton of experience as an offensive coordinator and recently had a ton of success in Oakland with Derek Carr. We'll see if he can implement an offense that plays to Lynch's strengths.

CLE - QB DeShone Kizer will start the rest of season

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns QB DeShone Kizer will start for the rest of the season, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Browns want to evaluate Kizer to see if he can develop his game as the season goes on and he gets more experience. With WR Corey Coleman back in action, the Browns passing game has a chance to do more. Kizer threw two interceptions on Sunday, and the rookie has 14 picks on the season. The Browns will likely have the no.1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft and could be targeting a top QB (Josh Rosen, Lamar Jackson) with that pick.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen expects to play

Source: Charlotte Observer - Joseph Person

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) said he expects to play against the New York Jets as long as he does not suffer a setback during practice this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen has been clear that he wants to return this week against the Jets. His return to the offense is a boost for QB Cam Newton and the rest of the passing game. Olsen has TE1 upside even if he's eased back into the lineup.

WAS - Full practice for TE Vernon Davis

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (back) fully participated in practice Monday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Reed out on Monday, Davis fully participating is a good sign. We'll see Washington play on Thursday against the Giants and Davis could be their starting tight end. That makes him a potential TE1 for fantasy owners.

ARI - RB Andre Ellington released

    Source: AZCardinals.com

Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington was released Monday, Nov. 20. Free-agent RB Bronson Hill (Vikings) was signed to the practice squad in a corresponding move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hill was undrafted out of Eastern Michigan in 2015 and he's bounced around to now eight different teams. Ellington signed a one-year deal to stay with the Cardinals this year but his role never materialized as a runner or receiver.

WAS - RB Samaje Perine listed as limited

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins RB Samaje Perine (finger) was limited during practice Monday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Perine got it done in a big way against the Saints on Sunday. It was his first 100-yard game of his career (117 yards) and he scored a rushing touchdown. As the lead back for Washington, Perine has RB2 or flex appeal in Week 12 as the team is at home to play the Giants on Thanksgiving.

NYG - WR Sterling Shepard out sick

    Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (illness) was absent from practice Monday, Nov. 20.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a short week for the Giants as they travel to play Washington on Thanksgiving. Make sure to check back and see if Shepard gets over this illness in time to play on turkey day.

NYG - RB Orleans Darkwa limited Monday

    Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Giants RB Orleans Darkwa (hamstring) was limited in practice Monday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Darkwa has had 70 rushing yards or more each of the last three weeks. The team is on the road against Washington on Thanksgiving, and Darkwa has RB2 or flex appeal for fantasy owners.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed does not practice

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) did not participate in practice Monday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a short week as Washington plays at home against the Giants on Thanksgiving. Reed missed Week 11 and his status for Week 12 is up in the air.

IND - Coach optimistic about QB Jacoby Brissett

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (concussion) is still going through the concussion protocol, but head coach Chuck Pagano said he believes Brissett should be able to play in Week 12. He received most of the snaps during the team's workout Monday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brissett should continue through the protocol this week with the idea that he can fully practice by Friday. The Colts are home against the Titans on Sunday in Week 12.

ARI - QB Carson Palmer sheds cast

Source: FOX Sports Radio 910 - Mike Jurecki

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) recently had his cast removed from his injured arm, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It has already been said that Palmer could return later this season, and this is a step in the right direction. The Cardinals have a 4-6 record, which likely keeps them out of the playoff picture in 2017. If they're out of it (especially with another loss), then there's no need to rush Palmer back.

HOU - WR Will Fuller's status uncertain

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said he is not sure if WR Will Fuller (ribs) will be able to play in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ribs injuries are tricky because it basically comes down to pain tolerance. He missed the game against the Cardinals and his playing status for Week 12 will be known later in the week.

HOU - RB Alfred Blue expected back

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB Alfred Blue (hamstring) is expected to be available to play in Week 12, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Blue may be ready to play, the rookie D'Onta Foreman has cemented himself as the primary backup behind Lamar Miller. We would not see much of Blue unless something happens to Miller or Foreman ahead of him on the depth chart.

TB - QB Jameis Winston ruled out for Week 12

Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston (shoulder) has not yet been cleared to throw and will sit out Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Buccaneers are clearing taking it easy on Winston as he deals with this problematic shoulder injury. We'll see Ryan Fitzpatrick as the team's starter for the third week in a row.

ARI - QB Blaine Gabbert will start again

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Blaine Gabbert will remain the starter at least until QB Drew Stanton (knee) is back at full health, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals lost to the Texans on Sunday, but Gabbert wasn't terrible. He did throw two interceptions, but he also tossed the ball for 257 yards and three touchdowns. He's got a tough matchup against the Jaguars in Week 12.

ARI - WR John Brown dealing with turf toe

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (toe) has been diagnosed with turf toe and is likely to 'miss time,' according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If it's not one thing, it's another for John Brown. We all know he's talented and can take the top off the defense, but injuries have seemingly constantly knocked his production off track.

WAS - Surgery for WR Terrelle Pryor

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Washington Redskins WR Terrelle Pryor (ankle) is having surgery on his ankle Monday, Nov. 20, according to a source. A timetable for his recovery is not yet known.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pryor is just getting a scope according to reports, but with only six games remaining in the regular season he might not be cleared to return in 2017. In nine games with Washington, Pryor has only 20 catches for 240 yards and one touchdown. Needless to say, this season has been a huge disappointment for Pryor and he's set to hit the free agent market in 2018.

BUF - WR Kelvin Benjamin avoids serious injury

    Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) did not suffer ligament damage to his knee in Week 11, but he is still undergoing further evaluation, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills offense was a disaster against the Chargers, and having Benjamin knocked out of this game didn't help. We'll watch his status during the week of practice and also see if Tyrod Taylor is going to get his starting job back after rookie Nathan Peterman threw five interceptions on Sunday.

PHI - QB Carson Wentz was evaluated for concussion

    Source: ESPN.com - Tim McManus

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (head) was evaluated for a concussion late in the first quarter Sunday, Nov. 19.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wentz should be okay going forward. He made it through the game, and although he didn't have his best outing (168 passing yards) he did throw two touchdowns. Monitor his status during the week.

MIA - QB Jay Cutler in concussion protocol

Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson

Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler (concussion) is in the concussion protocol Monday, Nov. 20, and that he's still the starter when healthy, according to head coach Adam Gase.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Gase is sticking with Cutler as Matt Moore doesn't seem to provide the same spark as a starter that he does when coming off the bench.

GB - RB Aaron Jones arrested last month

Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Michael Cohen

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) was arrested Oct. 1, and faces several charges stemming from a traffic stop in which he admitted to smoking marijuana. Jones has pleaded not guilty to counts of speeding, driving without a valid license and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in his system, according to Wisconsin court records.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A fifth-round pick out of UTEP this year, Jones had flashed for the Packers as their lead back before an injury knocked him out of the lineup. He's currently recovering from an MCL injury, and this legal situation is something that could be hashed out near the end of the season.

GB - QB Brett Hundley remaining starter

    Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky

Green Bay Packers QB Brett Hundley will remain the starter after turning it over four times in Week 11, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Aaron Rodgers potentially done for the season, the Packers don't really have a choice but to stick with Hundley. Their backup to Hundley is Joe Callahan, a 2016 UDFA out of Wesley.

BAL - RB Danny Woodhead sparsely used

Source: The Baltimore Sun - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead played 13 of 59 plays (22 percent) in Week 11.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team was able to get Woodhead back this week, and there's no surprise that they eased him into action. Starting RB Alex Collins played 38 of 59 snaps for the Ravens as they handily beat the Packers on Sunday. As Woodhead gets back into football shape, his role with the team should grow. He's got RB2 or flex appeal on a weekly basis for fantasy owners in PPR leagues.

Blue may be ready to play, the rookie D'Onta Foreman has cemented himself as the primary backup behind Lamar Miller. We would not see much of Blue unless something happens to Miller or Foreman ahead of him on the depth chart.
    Hi Folks,

I want to apologize for an error I made in this morning's Daily Email Update. As we told you Monday morning, Houston RB D'Onta Foreman suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday's game. It was a devastating blow for Foreman and the Texans as Foreman was emerging in a big way.

In today's email, we wrote incorrectly about the Texans RBs. The correct info is we're expecting Alfred Blue to return from his hamstring issue and be the backup to Lamar Miller.

From Deepi Sidhu's article on HoustonTexans.com

“I do expect Alfred to be back,” O’Brien said. “D’Onta was starting to really play well, obviously, in that game. He’s a big guy. He’s a very tough, physical runner. Good out of the backfield in the passing game. Was really starting to understand our offense. So, it’s just one of those things. It’s tough. It’s tough for him, but he’s a young player, he’ll be back. I would say that hopefully Alfred will come back here and be able to practice this week and help us because Alfred’s, really, in practice and on special teams, he’s done a really good job for us when he’s been healthy. So, hopefully we get him back.”

If Foreman is placed on injured reserve, the Texans will have three healthy running backs on the active roster: Miller, Blue and special teams contributor Jordan Todman. Second-year running back Tyler Ervin also landed on IR on October 4 after seeing action in four games this season. With multiple injuries at the position, O’Brien said the team might look to sign another back if needed.

“I’m assuming that D’Onta might be done for the year, so if he goes to injured reserve, we’ve got to find a way to replace that spot, so I’m sure Rick (Smith) and I will talk about that at some point,” O’Brien said."

So bottom line is it looks like a heavy workload for Miller. With Blue hopefully back and healthy as the backup with a bigger role than he'd seen before now that Foreman is out. We'll keep an eye on practice this week for you as to how this shapes up.

Apologies for the confusion. I'd fire the guy responsible but unfortunately that's me. Have a great Thanksgiving week and we'll see you tomorrow with the Update.

    Wednesday Update

HOU - Houston claims RB Andre Ellington

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

The Houston Texans claimed RB Andre Ellington off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals Tuesday, Nov. 21, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Texans are looking for help at the position, especially with rookie D'Onta Foreman going down with an Achilles' injury in Week 11. Ellington is a good receiver out of the backfield and could eventually earn a spot as the change-of-pace back behind starter Lamar Miller. His main competition for that position would be Alfred Blue.

DEN - QB Paxton Lynch will start this week

    Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano

Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch will be announced as the new starting quarterback for Week 12 Wednesday, Nov. 22, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This move was expected. A first-round pick in 2016, Lynch has barely seen the field for the Broncos. With two starts under his belt (and most of a game against the Buccaneers last year), there's not much film on Lynch. With Bill Musgrave taking over at OC for the Broncos, expect a simplified offense with plenty of run/pass options for Lynch since he can be a threat as a runner. Lynch gets to take on a Raiders defense that is among the worst in the league in Week 12.

NYG - WR Sterling Shepard not spotted at practice

    Source: NJ.com - Dan Duggan

New York Giants WR Sterling Shepard (migraines) was not seen during the portion of practice available to the media Tuesday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a short week as the Giants travel to play Washington on Thanksgiving. It's a late start (8:30pm ET), so fantasy owners are going to have to monitor his practice status on Wednesday closely. Don't just set your lineup with Shepard in as a WR2 or flex play and fall asleep after eating a bunch of turkey. We should know more about Shepard's status over the next 24 hours.

PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has hamstring issue

Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) has a 'small' hamstring injury and will be monitored throughout the week, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Steelers are at home this week to play against the Packers on Sunday Night Football. It's a great matchup for Smith-Schuster provided the rookie is out there. With Tomlin describing the injury as 'small' we would anticipate seeing Smith-Schuster in Week 12. They should limit him in practice during the week.

MIN - QB Case Keenum to draw another start

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum was confirmed as the starting quarterback for the team's Week 12 Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keenum played well in a big game against the Rams on Sunday, and he deserves to remain as the starting quarterback. Teddy Bridgewater will continue to serve as Keenum's backup. Fantasy owners should consider Keenum a streaming option in Week 12.

LAC - Limited practice for WR Mike Williams

    Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) was limited in practice Tuesday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chargers play on the road against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Williams is coming off a career-best five-catch, 38 yard game in Week 11. Most reports indicate he should be able to play on Thursday.

NYG - RB Orleans Darkwa remains limited

    Source: Giants.com

New York Giants RB Orleans Darkwa (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Tuesday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this injury situation if you've got Darkwa. He's been limited this week so far, and Darkwa plays in the final game on Thanksgiving.

WAS - No practice for TE Jordan Reed

    Source: Redskins.com

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) was held out of practice Tuesday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed has only played in six games so far this year, and he hasn't been on the playing field since Week 8 against the Cowboys. It's a short week for Washington as they host the Giants on Thursday night. Signs are pointing to Reed missing another game. That means Vernon Davis has TE1 upside in Week 12.

WAS - RB Byron Marshall will assume passing role

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins RB Byron Marshall is expected to take over RB Chris Thompson's third-down role in Washington's offense.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a gut punch for fantasy owners to lose Thompson, but Marshall should be on plenty of waiver wires out there. Marshall was signed off the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad just last week, but he does have experience as a receiver...most from his college days at Oregon. During the Ducks title run in 2014, Marshall had eight receptions for 169 yards and one touchdown in the championship game.

WAS - WR Terrelle Pryor headed to IR

Source: The Washington Post - Kimberley A. Martin

Washington Redskins WR Terrelle Pryor (ankle) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

As expected with Pryor undergoing ankle surgery on Monday. He signed a one-year deal with Washington this year, and now he'll head into free agency in 2018. Pryor is likely to be looking at another 'prove it' deal on the open market next offseason.

ARI - WR Chad Williams to see more playing time

Source: 98.7 Arizona - Mike Jurecki

Arizona Cardinals WR Chad Williams is 'going to get his shot' and has 'been practicing really, really well' lately, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams is one of our favorite dynasty prospects to watch. A third-round pick out of Grambling State in 2017, Williams plays larger than his size (6'1" 205 pounds) would indicate. Williams is not a savvy route runner but can make plays with strong hands and the ability to make crazy catches seem routine.

NE - WR Malcolm Mitchell to be evaluated this week

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee) is 'getting better, for sure' according to someone close to him and scheduled to be evaluated this week in hopes he can be the team's second designated player to return from the Reserve/Injured list.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Mitchell has talent, but he also has a history of knee injuries. The Patriots are in need of help at the WR position with Chris Hogan (shoulder) banged up.

    Thursday Update

NE - QB Tom Brady nursing Achilles' injury

    Source: Patriots.com
Updating a previous report, New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (Achilles') did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, due to an Achilles' injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If there ever was an attention-grabbing headline, then this is it. Brady is likely to practice later in the week and play against the Dolphins in Week 12. In tougher matchups, this Achilles' injury may be more of a concern. This week, Brady is a QB1 for fantasy owners if he's starting.

Bad news for fantasy owners holding onto Johnson and holding out hope that he could return late this year. The Cardinals season is likely over with a 4-6 record after 11 weeks of football. Johnson will stay shut down this year with the plan that he'll be at full strength for the offseason program.

DEN - QB Paxton Lynch confirmed as Week 12 starter

    Source: DenverBroncos.com - Andrew Mason

Updating a previous report, the Denver Broncos confirmed QB Paxton Lynch has been named the starter for Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lynch takes over as expected with the season already lost. The team needs to evaluate Lynch and see if the 2016 first-round pick can progress as the starter. He has lost out on the starting job each of the last two years to Trevor Siemian. If Lynch wants to be a franchise quarterback, he'd better take advantage of this opportunity as it might be his last to prove himself in the Mile High City.

    PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster doesn't practice

    Source: Steelers.com

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) was unable to practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's midweek so Smith-Schuster missing practice isn't totally alarming. See if he practices later in the week before considering him as a WR2 or flex play against the Packers in Week 12.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed ruled out Week 12

    Source: Redskins.com

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) will not play in the team's Week 12 Thanksgiving night game against the New York Giants.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Not a surprise as he didn't practice yet this week. Fantasy owners can turn to Vernon Davis as a TE1 on Thursday against the Giants.

LAR - WR Robert Woods does not practice

    Source: TheRams.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Woods has emerged as the go-to receiver for QB Jared Goff. Monitor his status as the week of practice goes on.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders misses practice

    Source: NFL

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Broncos WRs are a bit of a unknown as second-year QB Paxton Lynch is going to get the third start of his career on Sunday against the Raiders. Sanders should play, but fantasy owners should consider him a flex play with upside.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte does not practice

Source: The Record - Andy Vasquez

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Forte is not trending in the right direction. The Jets are likely to go with Bilal Powell and Eli McGuire in a RBBC against the Panthers on Sunday.

ATL - WR Julio Jones limited

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's Wednesday....so that means Jones is limited or getting rest. He's a no-brainer WR1 against the Bucs on Sunday.

ATL - No practice for RB Devonta Freeman

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Freeman is in the concussion protocol and will need to be cleared before he plays. Reports indicate he's optimistic, but we'll have to see him cleared before getting excited about his prospects of playing against the Buccaneers in Week 12.

BUF - WR Jordan Matthews listed as limited

Buffalo Bills WR Jordan Matthews (knee) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews didn't play in Week 11, but he could return this week. The team needs him as WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) is day-to-day with his injury.

GB - RB Aaron Jones misses practice

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) remained sidelined at practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is likely to miss the rest of the fantasy regular season. However, there's a chance he could return for the fantasy playoffs. It's a risk, but those with bench space can stubbornly hold on waiting for a return.

IND - QB Jacoby Brissett practices in full

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (concussion) was able to practice in full on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brissett is still waiting to get cleared in the league's concussion protocol. He's on track to be cleared and should be able to start at home against the Titans in Week 12.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette also limited

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This ankle problem is going to limit Fournette from here on out. He's still a RB1 for fantasy owners against the Cardinals on Sunday.

JAX - WR Marqise Lee has limited practice

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lee is limited on Wednesday, but he might be able to practice fully on Friday. With Allen Hurns banged up, Lee is likely the no1 WR for the Jaguars as they travel to take on the Cardinals in Week 12.

CLE - RB Isaiah Crowell limited in practice

    Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowell could be worth a start as a RB3/flex in Week 12 against the Bengals. Watch to see if he can fully practice later in the week.

NE - WR Chris Hogan still has injured shoulder

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, due to his shoulder injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's been some time since Hogan was able to practice (ever since getting hurt in Week 8). We're unlikely to see him this week against the Dolphins. That means more looks for guys like WR Brandin Cooks and RB Rex Burkhead.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski under the weather

    Source: Patriots.com

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (illness) missed practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, due to illness.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if Gronkowski can feel better later in the week. At this time, we're not worried about his status for the game against the Dolphins on Sunday.

MIA - QB Jay Cutler does not practice

    Source: Patriots.com

Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, as he remains in the league's mandated concussion protocol.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He's in the protocol, and there's no telling if he'll be ready for Week 12. If Cutler can't play, the Dolphins turn to Matt Moore as their starter.

SF - C.J. Beathard remains starter

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard will start Week 12 over QB Jimmy Garoppolo, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's a home game versus Seattle, but this is a Seahawks defense that has been set back by injuries. Beathard is a streaming option for fantasy owners, although there are no more bye weeks left and you just might have better options in 2-QB leagues. Garoppolo waits his turn, but we should see him at some point this season.

ARI - QB Carson Palmer not expected back

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) has not made the progress he was expected to make in his rehabilitation and is not expected to return this season, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals season is likely over with a 4-6 record. Palmer may have played the final football of his career in 2017. He's incredibly close to retirement, and we wouldn't be surprised if he called it quits. His future is certainly up in the air.

CLE - WR Josh Gordon back at practice Wednesday

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot
Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon took part in practice in a regular season full-squad practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, for the first time since Dec. 26, 2014.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Getting Gordon back in Week 13 could help further boost the Browns passing game. They got Corey Coleman back in Week 11, and any quality weapons around rookie QB DeShone Kizer helps. Gordon is easily worth a bench stash if you've got the space.

HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins not spotted at practice

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (undisclosed) was not at the portion of practice open to the media Wednesday, Nov. 22.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
He could just be getting a day of rest here. Hopkins has a tough matchup against the Ravens on Monday night in Week 12, but we still consider him a WR1 option for fantasy owners.

    Friday Update

SEA - TE Jimmy Graham does not practice

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We expect him to be active this weekend and a fantastic tight end play against San Francisco. He should put up TE1 numbers but keep an eye on his ankle.

LAR - WR Robert Woods sits again

    Source: TheRams.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The expectation is that he will not play for a few weeks, so this is no shock. Woods has had a solid season, so hopefully when he comes back he can jump right back in and help with your fantasy playoffs.

LAC - WR Mike Williams left game

    Source: Chargers.com

Updating a previous report, Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) did not return to the team's Week 12 game because of the knee injury he suffered during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It was seeming like Williams was finally getting in sync with Philip Rivers, so this is disappointing. Hopefully it's not too bad, but as he was battling a knee issue coming into the game, we're concerned.

TEN - WR Rishard Matthews limited

    Source: NFL

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We expect Matthews and Marcus Mariota to hook up often this weekend against Indianapolis, and he should be a nice WR3 start with WR2 upside.

ATL - WR Julio Jones limited again

    Source: NFL

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones has just one touchdown this year, which is insane to contemplate. As he heads into this weekend and a matchup against Tampa Bay, we think he's in for a big day, touchdown or not and will start him as a WR1.

BUF - TE Charles Clay listed as limited

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay could be playing, but we won't start him unless we are in trouble. If you need help and cannot avoid putting him in a lineup, expect low-end TE2 numbers.

BUF - No practice for WR Kelvin Benjamin

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't see him playing this week, and even if he does we aren't sure we trust him this week. We need to see him perform before trusting him which means he will probably be on our bench when he does the first time.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski limited Thursday

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (illness) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We still see Gronkowski as one of the top tight ends in fantasy this weekend. He should be fine for Sunday, but keep an eye for any after-effects of the illness.

NE - WR Danny Amendola listed as limited

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Along with Brandin Cooks, Danny Amendola seems to be the last man standing. That said, he's no more than a WR5 with some upside against the Miami Dolphins this weekend.

NE - QB Tom Brady limited

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (Achilles') was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Brady will start against Miami, and Brady will shred Miami. We expect QB1 numbers from him this week.

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett (hamstring, shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Bennett may not play and even if he does, his role is unclear. Avoid him this week even if he plays.

NE - WR Chris Hogan remains sidelined

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Chris Hogan (shoulder) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hogan continues to be sidelined and by the time he returns, it may be hard to get re-inserted into the offense. Brandin Cooks and Danny Amendola are the two receivers to play right now, though only Cooks is a surefire producer and WR1 this week.

NYJ - RB Matt Forte doesn't practice

Source: The Associated Press - Dennis Waszak Jr.

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) was not able to practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We aren't expecting him to play this week, and the backfield carries will be split between Bilal Powell and Eliah McGuire. Neither is a good option this week against Carolina and should produce no more than RB4 numbers.

IND - QB Jacoby Brissett fully practices

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Colts offense is so sad to watch and while Brissett has had moments this year, he's not in a good situation and not playing well overall. Against a tough Tennessee defense, Brissett is no more than a low-end QB2 or a high-end QB3.

MIA - QB Jay Cutler logs limited practice

Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora

Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler (concussion) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's no reason to go back to Cutler anyway, as he has been terrible this year. Matt Moore will be a decent quarterback who will limit his mistakes against the Patriots, making him a better choice for Adam Gase and a decent QB2 for your fantasy team.

JAX - WR Marqise Lee listed as limited

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jaguars are going to continue running the ball with Leonard Fournette, so between that and the inconsistent nature of Blake Bortles, Lee isn't expected to do much. Add in his injury and we are expecting not much beyond WR5 numbers against Arizona.

CHI - WR Dontrelle Inman remains limited

    Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears WR Dontrelle Inman (groin) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mitch Trubisky is coming along, but the Eagles are an excellent team and we don't think it will be easy for him to do much. As that's the case, Inman isn't likely to do much and we're not putting him in lineups. If you're in a bad spot, expect no more than WR6 numbers.

JAX - Limited practice for RB Leonard Fournette

    Source: AZCardinals.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're not terribly concerned about this, and feel like Fournette will get his full load of carries this weekend, and put up RB1 numbers.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns sits again

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hurns isn't ready yet, and we don't expect him to play against Arizona. Marquise Lee is the last man standing and Blake Bortles' top option this week again, and should be a nice WR3 option.

ARI - JJ Nelson listed as limited

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals WR JJ Nelson (chest) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nelson can stretch the field but Blaine Gabbert isn't very good. If you need a flier, Nelson will serve as a high upside, big downside guy this weekend against a tough Jacksonville defense.

ARI - WR John Brown does not practice

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (toe) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Thanksgiving Day practices are hard to get wigged out about, so we'll wait until Friday's practice before we get concerned. Blaine Gabbert, the Jacksonville defense - those are things we're concerned about. We'd avoid him.

CIN - WR Brandon LaFell practices fully

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cincinnati Bengals WR Brandon LaFell (knee) was a full practice participant Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

LaFell has been wildly inconsistent this year. The Browns pass defense has actually improved the last few weeks. That combines to WR4 value this week.

CIN - Full practice for TE Tyler Kroft

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Kroft (hand) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Kroft has been unreliable in terms of production. Even if he plays, we would avoid him.

CLE - RB Isaiah Crowell limited Thursday

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowell will get a solid amount of carries against the Bengals, though we don't expect big production from him in this offense. That puts him as a good RB4, with a little bit of upside.

PIT - No practice for WR JuJu Smith-Schuster

    Source: Steelers.com

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) missed practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

While Smith-Schuster was overshadowed due to a huge game by Antonio Brown, the matchup here is tremendous and if healthy we could see him as a great WR3, with WR2 upside.

GB - RB Ty Montgomery, RB Aaron Jones still out

Green Bay Packers RBs Ty Montgomery (ribs) and Aaron Jones (knee) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is no suprise, and we aren't expecting them to play this weekend. Jamaal Williams will get the start and we think he'll be a decent RB3.

BAL - RB Terrance West has full practice

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Baltimore Ravens RB Terrance West (calf) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even if he plays, West is so deeply buried on the depth chart it's unlikely he has any real impact even when healthy. He's only worth a roster spot as a an emergency backup these days if you can spare the roster spot.

HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins limited Thursday

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even with Tom Savage in charge, Hopkins is one of the most dangerous receivers in the NFL. Add in a shaky Baltimore defense and Hopkins has a WR2 floor with WR1 upside.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders returns to practice

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Paxton Lynch is under center now and while we have seen a little of him, the reality is we have precious little idea what he is capable of. This offense has been bad most of the season, though, and that coupled with the uncertainty around Lynch shoves both Sanders and Demaryius Thomas into the WR4/WR5 area.

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (concussion) will be a limited participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 23, but he remains in the concussion protocol.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We'll watch this carefully heading into the weekend because if Freeman is out, Tevin Coleman could be a top ten fantasy running back. If Freeman plays, Coleman's value takes a massive hit and Freeman becomes the play.

Prescott doesn't look to good without Elliot. Cowboys defense also in trouble

What is Kizers future? Backup next year. Another team. Browns need a better defense as well

    Saturday Update

PIT - WR JuJu Smith-Schuster out Week 12

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) will not play in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers due to a hamstring injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The injury was 'small' according to Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, but the team didn't see enough improvement during the week to put Smith-Schuster out there on Sunday night against the Packers. Without Smith-Schuster, the Steelers will turn to Martavis Bryant more as the no2 WR opposite Antonio Brown.

ATL - RB Devonta Freeman to sit out Week 12

    Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport

Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 12 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There was some optimism about Freeman's status, even coming from Freeman himself, but the team is shutting him down for the week. Without Freeman, they'll turn to Tevin Coleman as the starter with Terron Ward backing him up. Coleman is a low-end RB1 option for fantasy owners in Week 12.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen set to return

Source: The Charlotte Observer - Joseph Person

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) will be activated from the Reserve/Injured list Friday, Nov. 24. WR Curtis Samuel (ankle) will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list in a corresponding move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen has been targeting a return in Week 12 against the Jets, and it looks like that's going to be the case. Some teams ease players in after a long absence, but we feel there's enough of a role there for Olsen to perform like a TE1 for fantasy owners.

MIN - QB Case Keenum named Week 13 starter

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Andrew Krammer

Minnesota Vikings QB Case Keenum will remain the starting quarterback in Week 13 versus the Atlanta Falcons, according to head coach Mike Zimmer.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There's no need for the team to go away from Keenum. He's playing at a high level and the team is winning. In fact, the Vikings have the look of a team that can make a deep postseason run after the regular season. Teddy Bridgewater remains the backup.

LAC - WR Mike Williams expected to miss time

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) will have an MRI on his knee Friday, Nov. 24, but he's expected to miss time.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A back injury has limited Williams, a top-10 pick in the 2017 NFL draft, to just six games this year and now this knee injury should once again shorten his rookie season. The Chargers have real concern, but they believe his ACL isn't compromised.

CLE - RB Isaiah Crowell likely will play

    Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowell was able to get a full practice in on Friday after being limited during the week. He should post RB3 numbers against the Bengals on Sunday.

JAX - WR Marqise Lee should be in uniform

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Marqise Lee (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, but is not on the injury report for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allen Hurns (ankle) is not going to play in this game, so Lee is the top target for the Jaguars passing game. Going up against the Cardinals on Sunday, Lee should put up WR3 or flex numbers.

ATL - WR Julio Jones limited in practice yet again

    Source: AtlantaFalcons.com

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (ankle, knee) was limited in practice for the third consecutive day Friday, Nov. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Jones should be able to play and put up strong numbers. He's limited by multiple injuries, but Jones is still a WR1 for fantasy owners.

HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins limited in practice again

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was limited in practice for the second straight day Friday, Nov. 24.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Texans play on Monday night against the Ravens. By that time, Hopkins should be in a better spot physically. We're expecting Hopkins to play and he should be considered a WR1 for fantasy owners.

LAR - WR Robert Woods will not play

    Source: TheRams.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Robert Woods (shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 24, and has been ruled out for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bad news for a Rams offense that leans on Woods early and often. Without him (and he may miss a couple of weeks), the Rams should turn to Sammy Watkins even more. Along with more targets for Watkins, we should see Cooper Kupp get some more passes thrown his way.

GB - RB Aaron Jones ruled out for Week 12

    Source: NFLMedia.com

Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) missed practice for the third straight day Friday, Nov. 24, and he has been ruled out for the team's Week 12 game Sunday, Nov. 26, versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Jones and with Ty Montgomery (ribs) banged up, the Packers will feed rookie RB Jamaal Williams as much as possible. Williams has RB2 potential on Sunday night against the Steelers.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski ready to play

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (illness) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, but is not on the injury report for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Gronk, his fantasy owners and the Patriots here. Start him as you normally would (set it and forget it) in Week 12.

NE - QB Tom Brady not on injury report

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (Achilles') was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, but is not on the injury report for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Achilles' injury is certainly one to monitor as the season goes on. Brady is practicing in a limited fashion, but he's going to be out there for the Patriots...and he should obviously be in your lineup.

NE - WR Danny Amendola listed as questionable

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Chris Hogan (shoulder), we could see a few more snaps and targets for Amendola.

NYJ - Questionable tag for RB Matt Forte

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets RB Matt Forte (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Forte can play, it will obviously take time/touches away from Bilal Powell. We're not expecting a ton of success from the Jets ground game, no matter who plays at running back.

HOU - WR Will Fuller not expected to play on MNF

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (ribs) did not practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is unlikely to play on Monday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Fuller should miss another game with this painful injury. That means more of Bruce Ellington opposite DeAndre Hopkins.

BUF - WR Jordan Matthews listed as questionable

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Jordan Matthews (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews should be out there on Sunday against the Chiefs. The Bills might be playing without WR Kelvin Benjamin, so having Matthews out there will help. However, we are not that excited about the Bills passing game in Week 12. Matthews is a desperation 'what the heck' flex if he plays.

MIA - QB Jay Cutler to sit Week 12

    Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport

Miami Dolphins QB Jay Cutler (concussion) is not expected to play Week 12 against the New England Patriots. Matt Moore will draw the start in his absence.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There has been a lack of clarity about Cutler's status. Earlier reports said that it looked like he'll clear the concussion protocol and start against the Patriots. This report says Moore will play. Either way, it's a QB situation most fantasy owners won't be looking to.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders listed as questionable

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It will be interesting to see Sanders in the new passing game with QB Paxton Lynch. Fantasy owners are wise to see Sanders as a WR3 or flex option against the Raiders in Week 12.

JAX - WR Allen Hurns to miss another game

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) will miss his second consecutive game in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Hurns out we'll continue to see more of Marqise Lee. Opposite Lee, Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole will split time/targets on Sunday.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette cleared for Week 12

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (ankle) is absent from the team's Week 12 injury report despite practicing in limited fashion all week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fournette's ankle has been a problem most of the year and it should continue to be something that keeps him limited in practice during the week. He's going to get featured against the Cardinals, and Fournette is an RB1 as per usual.

BAL - RB Danny Woodhead ready for regular workload

    Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley

Baltimore Ravens RB Danny Woodhead will not be on a snap count in Week 12 against the Houston Texans, according to offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg. Woodhead was limited to 13 snaps in Week 11 in his return from the Reserve/Injured list with a hamstring injury in part due to the big lead Baltimore enjoyed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens eased Woodhead into action last week against the Packers as he only played 13 snaps. We could see him getting as much as twice the snap count this week against the Texans. Woodhead has flex appeal for fantasy owners in PPR leagues.

BUF - TE Charles Clay questionable for Week 12

Source: The Buffalo News - Vic Carucci

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) is listed as questionable on the injury report for Week 12 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Clay's knee has been bothering him for most of this season. The Bills may be without WR Kelvin Benjamin, and that could increase the target load for Clay. We have him as a TE2 for fantasy owners in Week 12.

BUF - WR Kelvin Benjamin's Week 12 status up in air

Source: The Buffalo News - Vic Carucci

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin (knee) is listed as questionable on the injury report for Week 12 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Benjamin is day-to-day with this injury. Signs have not been positive about his playing status, so we think he's on the doubtful side of questionable in Week 12. Without Benjamin, the Bills would turn to guys like WR Jordan Matthews and Zay Jones to do more.

NE - WR Chris Hogan to be a no-go in Week 12

Source: Boston Herald - Jeff Howe

During the Patriots WR Chris Hogan (shoulder) did not practice Friday, Nov. 24, and is not expected to play in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners can look to more of WR Brandin Cooks and RB Rex Burkhead with Hogan out again. We should also see a bump in snaps for guys like WR Danny Amendola and Phillip Dorsett too.

    Sunday Morning Injury Updates

    QUARTERBACK

Tom Brady | Achilles | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Not Listed

With the number of torn Achilles tendon on the rise and the recent injury to Richard Sherman fresh in everyone's memory, Brady's Wednesday DNP raised eyebrows. The Patriots and Brady quickly quashed those worries. Brady was removed from the injury report on Friday and isn't listed on New England's game status report. He told reporters he was just getting a little extra treatment and had no concerns about the injury. While pocket quarterbacks aren't as limited by mobile quarterbacks by soft tissue injury, Achilles injuries are a little different. Quarterbacks stress that area of the ankle at the top of drops and while hitching during progression reads. There's a chance Brady's accuracy will be affected this week but the risk of catastrophic injury is low.

    Others of note:
Cam Newton (thumb/shoulder), Jacoby Brissett (concussion), and Blake Bortles (wrist) have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Jameis Winston (shoulder) and Jay Cutler (concussion) have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    RUNNING BACK

Leonard Fournette | Ankle | Not listed | expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Fournette was limited last week in practice and the team was concerned enough to suggest they wanted to see how Fournette looked in warmups before clearing him to play. Fournette then played a season-high 52 snaps and matched a season-high 28 carries. After the higher-than-anticipated workload, the Jaguars again limited Fournette in practice. Fournette told reporters the ankle may continue to be an issue but something he's comfortable working through. He is not listed on the game status report and will play. When on the active roster, the Jaguars have shown no interest in limiting his gameday workload. Assuming no in-game setbacks, Fournette should be in line for 20+ touches.

    Matt Forte
    | Knee | Questionable | Likely Inactive

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Limited

Forte managed a Friday limited practice and was listed questionable. Forte hasn't played since the Thursday night game in Week 9 and Friday's workout is the first time he's practiced in three weeks. Todd Bowles told reporters the team was "encouraged" by Forte's practice and called his running back a game-time decision. Conditioning and recurrent swelling with activity remain important worries here. It's doubtful Forte plays this week. More likely, the plan is to see if Forte's knee responds well to football-related activity before increasing his practice next week.

*Alfred Blue | Hamstring | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited | Sat - Full

The Texans haven't released their Saturday practice and game status reports yet but Bill O'Brien has said he expects Blue to return this week.

    Others of note: Isaiah Crowell
(shoulder) has practiced, is not listed on the game status report, and is expected to play without limitation. Devonta Freeman (concussion), Aaron Jones (knee), Ty Montgomery (ribs), Mike Davis (groin), and Mike Tolbert (hamstring) are doubtful and likely inactive or have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    WIDE RECEIVER

Julio Jones | Knee / ANkle | Not Listed | expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Jones had no setbacks in last week's game and missed no practices this week. The Falcons did not list him on the game status report. Jones continues to deal with multiple soft tissue injuries and will be at risk of an in-game setback but when he's healthy enough to avoid a questionable tag, his ceiling expectation is always in play.

    Kelvin Benjamin
    | Knee | Declared Out | Inactive

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - DNP

The Bills say Benjamin is day-to-day and reports on his imaging studies were reassuring. However, there's been little optimism he'll play this week. Benjamin did not practice at all this week. While the Bills are comfortable with veteran players resting during the week, it's rare to see them activate a player who hasn't managed at least one limited session. Buffalo is likely still deciding how to involve Benjamin in their weekly game plan. With his status unknown through midweek, there's little chance they included their new receiver in this week's game plan. If Benjamin is active, he'll likely only see time around the red zone. Expect him to be inactive.

***Saturday Update: Benjamin did not travel with the team and has been declared out.

    Jordan Matthews
    | Knee | Questionable | Likely to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Matthews had been listed on injury reports in Philadelphia and Buffalo many times with knee soreness. Early last week, his presence on the injury report did not seem out of the ordinary. By Saturday afternoon, there was a rising current of concern about his Week 11 availability and the Bills deactivated him on Sunday. There's been very little about Matthews' status in local media reports this week. Until reported differently, assume Matthews will be evaluated in pre-game warmups before a decision is made.

***Sunday Update: Both Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter reported overnight Matthews is expected to play.

    Emmanuel Sanders
    | Ankle | Questionable | Likely to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Sanders appeared to get a veteran day off on Wednesday before practicing the rest of the week -- one he likely needed after playing 76 snaps against Cincinnati last week. Sanders returned to limited practices Thursday and Friday. There are no local reports of concern and Sanders is likely to play. How effective he'll be with the revolving quarterback situation is debatable. The Broncos are now turning to Paxton Lynch against an inconsistent Oakland secondary on the road.

***Sunday Update: Both Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport reported overnight Sanders is expected to play.

    Rishard Matthews
    | Hamstring | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - Not Listed | Thurs - Limited | Fri - DNP

Matthews left Thursday's practice with a hamstring strain, then was given "a day to rest" according to Mike Mularkey. Matthews told reporters he expects to play. Mularkey told reporters they'd know more about Matthews' availability on Saturday. Mularkey's comment about weekend re-evaluation is a little different than the usual "We'll warm him up and see," approach and hints the medical staff has some concern for Matthews' recovery. However, the Titans have expressed some level of concern with offensive talent and soft tissue injuries frequently this year only to have them play and see a full workload. DeMarco Murray and Delanie Walker have both been more productive than expected on minimal practice. If Matthews is active, it's reasonable to expect the same while recognizing a higher-than-usual risk of injury during the game. I'll update with any actionable weekend notes.

    Danny Amendola
    | Knee | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Amendola once again was limited in practice this week. He's expected to play. In Week 10, Amendola didn't see his snap count or target count increase in Chris Hogan's absence. Last week, Amendola had a season-high nine targets and his snap percentage increased to 60% -- a level he hadn't reached since Week 7. That may be a sign Amendola's health is improving.

    Others of note: DeAndre Hopkins
(foot), Tyreek Hill (glute), Marqise Lee (knee), Robby Anderson (ankle), Bruce Ellington (ribs), Brandon LaFell (hamstring), and J.J. Nelson (chest) have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Robert Woods (shoulder), JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring), Chris Hogan (shoulder), Will Fuller (ribs), Allen Hurns (ankle), John Brown (toe), and Josh Bellamy (concussion) are doubtful and likely inactive or have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    TIGHT END

Greg Olsen | Foot | Not Listed | Expected to Play

Not Listed on Practice Participation Report

Olsen was moved to the active roster late in the week. He was not listed on the participation report or game status report but is expected to play. Ron Rivera told reporters the Panthers planned to be "judicious" with Olsen's workload and "save him from himself and save him from us...knowing that his conditioning and his football shape isn't what it needs to be right now." Rivera specifically noted the team did not want to use Olsen for 60 plays. Expect him to be used in higher leverage situations -- critical third downs and most red zone opportunities. Those 25-30 snaps could be enough to allow Olsen to reach a strong statistical line.

    Jimmy Graham
    | Ankle | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - DNP | Thurs - DNP | Fri - Full

Graham did not practice until Friday but there's no concern for his availability this week. The Seahawks frequently rest veterans early in the week and Pete Carroll told reporters Graham was fine. Expect him to see his usual workload this week.

    Charles Clay
    | Knee | Questionable | Expected to Play

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - Limited | Fri - Limited

Clay is still recovering from a midseason knee injury. His snap percentages are not back to his pre-injury baseline yet, but Clay has played most of the snaps before the Bills fell hopelessly behind in the past two games. He's expected to play this week.

    Trey Burton
    | Back | Questionable | Game-time Decision

Practice Participation: Wed - Limited | Thurs - DNP | Fri - DNP

Burton has been dealing with back spasms all week. After a limited practice on Wednesday, the Eagles chose treatment over practice on Thursday and Friday. Doug Pederson told reporters Burton would be a game-time decision. Zach Ertz told reporters he expected Burton to play. Hopefully, both will be accurate. Back spasms are difficult to predict and Burton could struggle to get loose in warmups. The Eagles play at home. The ability to get treatment while avoiding a plane ride and hotel bed will be helpful.

    Others of note
: Rob Gronkowski (illness), Tyler Kroft (hand), Cameron Brate (ankle), and George Kittle (ankle) have practiced, are not listed on the game status report, and are expected to play without limitation. Martellus Bennett (shoulder/hamstring) and Vance McDonald (ankle) are doubtful and likely inactive or have been declared out. I'll update return to play expectations on all inactive players in Monday's column.

    DEFENSIVE PLAYER NOTES

    EDGE

***Clay Matthews did not practice with a groin injury this week and is likely out.

***Dee Ford remains out for Kansas City. It's not yet known whether Tamba Hali will miss another game.
    DEFENSIVE LINE
***Aaron Donald missed Friday's practice with an illness but is not listed on the game status report and will play.
***Corey Peters is still out. Kenny Clark is unlikely to play with a high ankle sprain. Akiem Hicks and Jarran Reed expect to play.
    LINEBACKER
***Bobby Wagner did not practice with a hamstring strain but Pete Carroll expected him to play. Watch overnight notes carefully for hints of concern.
***C.J. Mosley returned to a full practice on Saturday and is expected to play Monday night.
    DEFENSIVE BACK
***Both Marshon Lattimore and Ken Crowley are out for New Orleans.
***Jalen Ramsey told reporters he would not play but he traveled to Arizona with the Jaguars on Saturday. Consider him a game-time decision. ***Sunday Update: Ian Rapoport tweeted Ramsey is expected to play today.

    Sunday Update

CLE - RB Duke Johnson to play more?

Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson needs to be on the field 'as much as possible' because of his ability as a playmaker, according to run game coordinator Kirby Wilson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'd like to see that. Johnson already has every-week flex appeal in PPR leagues because of his ability as a pass catcher out of the backfield. With a larger role, he could perform at an even higher level. The Browns don't have a ton of talent on offense, but Johnson is certainly one of their best players and deserves more snaps.

HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins not on injury report

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Tom Savage at quarterback, we're not as excited about the Texans passing game but Hopkins retains his WR1 value for fantasy owners.

HOU - WR Bruce Ellington on track to play

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Bruce Ellington (ribs) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Will Fuller is dealing with his own ribs injury, and he's not going to play on Monday night against the Ravens. We see Ellington as a 'what the heck' flex as he starts opposite DeAndre Hopkins in Week 12.

BAL - WR Jeremy Maclin does not practice

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Maclin (non-injury) did not participate in practice Saturday, Nov. 25, but is not on the injury report for Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens play on Monday night against the Texans. If Maclin is not on the injury report, then he's likely to play in Week 12. We like him as a WR3/flex option for fantasy owners.

IND - QB Jacoby Brissett cleared to play

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (concussion) has been cleared to play by doctors and will be the starting quarterback against the Tennessee Titans in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This was expected as Brissett practiced fully on Friday and was not listed on the injury report. He's a QB2 against the Titans in Week 12.

TEN - RB DeMarco Murray likely to remain starter

    Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray is expected to remain the starter over Derrick Henry for the remainder of the season, although offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie admitted there is 'a bit of a hot hand approach with the backs' and 'not a specific play count for each.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The ole 'hot hand' approach sucks for fantasy owners. Murray is the lead back but Derrick Henry could start for a dozen or more teams around the NFL. Moving forward, fantasy owners need to play this RBBC the same way -- Murray as a RB2 and Henry as a RB4/flex option on a weekly basis. If something changes, we'll make note of it but right now Murray is a consideration to be an every week starter while Henry should mostly be used in good matchups.

LAC - WR Mike Williams does not have ACL injury

    Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune

Updating a previous report, an MRI exam for Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) revealed that he does not have an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament, according to head coach Anthony Lynn. However, he is still being evaluated by doctors and trainers.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's good news for the Chargers and Williams, but it doesn't mean he's in the clear. Williams has been bothered by a back injury this year and limited to just six games as a rookie so far. Now this knee injury, even though it's not an ACL injury, could cause him to miss more time. Stay tuned.

WAS - Still no timetable for TE Jordan Reed

Source: The Washington Post - Master Tesfatsion
Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) still doesn't have a timetable for his return, head coach Jay Gruden said Friday, Nov. 24.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed hasn't played since Week 8 against the Cowboys. He's dynamic when healthy and a must-start for fantasy owners as a TE1....but Reed has an injury history that reads like Infinite Jest. Good thing is, most fantasy owners are already prepared for him to miss time because of his history as an oft-injured player.

Yeah, true with 7 straight losses, although Simien made it interesting late in the game after Lynch injury.
