Seahawks kept Pete Carroll around too long

They should have moved on. He has done nothing the last two years. Reminds me of when ditka stayed in Chicago because he won the bowl off a great d but the d declined and the team gradually went downhill. Carroll is not liked there anymore.

They need a new kicker. Any kicker than Walsh will do. He is terrible.

There is serious dissent in that locker room between d and offense guys. The d guys don't like Wilson cause he is Oreo. I read some good stuff on it. This team is not very good. They have a good d but there schedule is brutal down the stretch. I Stand by my preseason prediction they won't make the playoffs. If they do get in it's a one and done deal. The NFC figured them out years ago. They stay around because they have a mental edge over teams at home but that is slowly going away.

this is true....although they can still be dangerous the chemistry is gone that Super Bowl killed them...bevel needed to be fired immediately to somewhat save face....they didn't though he's carrols boy...John Schneider will leave soon and it will be game over. Whole team is thug ghetto blacks who hate russel Wilson because he's a Uncle Tom. And they wanted to make him the hero...lynch should have got the fukin ball...still annoys the fuk out of me..I quit giving a fuk about them after they stopped standing for flag...fuk em...2 many egos on that fukin team...earl thomas is arguably the most valuable player next to Wilson on that team...he didn't play today. Earl Thomas leaves and bobby Wagner defense will be shit...

Even if you want to throw the ball on 1st down it needs to be a quick slant or fade in the end zone. Or roll Wilson out with the option of run or pass. The last thing you do is run a delayed WR screen when everyone is bunched up at the goal line with no need to defend beyond that goal line plane. Way too much traffic to do that. That play is designed to take advantage of a long field that a D must defend, not one yard. It is unreal that he called that play and the Seattle players all know it. Anybody that has ever watched football knows it, except Pete of course.

Yes agreed Pete nursed them as youngins to a Super Bowl win...then after that second super bowl loss they turned on Pete locker room divided, players divided. Let's be real they didn't want lynch with the ball because he wasn't doing interviews...and he would have just ran off field or acted extremely ghetto and embarrassed them.....that squad is done..

What do I know about the NFL though I bet the fukin Texans today and liked it. Fukin league has gone to absolute shit wait tell Brady retires and Rodgers what will be left? NFL will sink to record lows. This protesting shit didn't help. And they over saturated the market.

Wilson does that not him. Without Wilson where was Carroll?

If you use that analogy then you should have kept Andy Reid in Philly for life. He had one really bad year.

Basically did keep him for life ha

Lurie held onto him as long as possible. After an 8 win season and a 4 win season the fans were ready to riot.

Seattle is still relevant and right in the mix on a yearly basis. Until the team drops off and he loses the fan base, I’ll be suprised if he goes anywhere unless he chooses to

None of them (except maybe Dak) are national household names like Brady or Rodgers. JJ Watt and OBJ are probably next in line, in terms of star power/household name recognition, but they're injured and OBJ is very polarizing.

I hear ya. The thing though is that the Seahawks should have won 3 bowls. They should be in that ne type range but they don't win during the regular season enough and without home field they go nowhere. The pats rarely play road games in the playoffs but when they do mostly lose.

I agree, they should def be better. The owners care too much about being relevant and making money every year though to make it worth the risk of trying someone new. You see it all over the nfl. Guys like McCarthy in Green Bay or even Marvin Lewis... for the most part their teams are semi-relevant each year and so it’s not worth the risk of trying to start over with someone else. Taking the risk of losing it all in order to get over the hump and win a sb just isn’t worth it.

The same kicker who missed a chipshot fg vs the Seahawks two years ago that helped them win a playoff game. Was it Pete's idea to sign him?
